  1. My biggest worry about the story is not the time table of how they plan to continue it, but HOW they plan to continue it.

Take the inquisitor and the Jedi Knight stories as examples:

By the end of the inquisitor story your a darth, your in the dark council, your one of the most important people in the empire...

The Jedi Knight story envolves him killing the emperor, efectively removing the head of the empire.

What can come next for those classes? What can top those endings? nothing short of a cataclysm.

I think bioware wrote themselves into a corner, giving the player too much power, too quickly. Unless they dont plan to continue each personal story and only update the game with new zones with generic quests.

I can see the SI vying for the Emperor's seat as the next step in the class quest. What can happen after that, though, is beyond me.

  2. If you can research that and tell me that it was under development for 4 or more years before its release then I will give an apology and grovel at your internet feet.....

World of Warcraft was announced by Blizzard on September 2, 2001 and went live on November 23, 2004. That's just over 3 years between announcement and release. I can say with some certainty that it was in development for at least a year prior to being publically announced. That's over 4 years. GROVEL AT MY INTERNET FEET, MINION!

  3. Bawww :( Then how can I farm commends if I finished all the quests? Jeez, I feel like such an idiot trying to run an Eselles social group awhile ago :(

The heroic quests on the planets are actually dailies, so if for whatever reason you feel like grinding lower level commendations you are able to.

  4. I like to call it the WoW phenomenon. The Horde (at least early on) were always better at PvP than the Alliance. A lot of people came into this game expecting exactly the same thing, so they went Empire hoping to get on on the "best" PvP faction.

Just my observations. Take from it what you will.

The intersting thing about that is that the Horde racial abilities were geared better towards PvP (Orc stun resistance, Will of the Forsaken), while Alliance racials were better for PvE (Human's Diplomacy, Night Elf dodge).

In this game, the racials mean absolute crap and for the most part the differences are just cosmetic.

  5. No way I would play it if it was not SW, Just think if Trion was able to make this game... things would be a lot different

I probably wouldn't have touched it with a 10 foot clown pole if it was made by Trion. While Rift was technically a good game, it had the worst leveling experience I've ever had the pleasure of trying. It was so dull, bland and down right annoying that I never even reached max level.

Now if it was BioWare story but Trion support ...

As for the question in the OP. Probably. I liked the only 2 Star Wars movies ever made (Episodes 4 and 5. Yes, only 2 movies were made. I CAN'T HEAR YOU LALALALALALLALALALA) but I don't play this game for the IP. I enjoy it. Yes, it's missing features but meh. I'll see where this game goes.

  6. You don't need torpedoes for that mission. If you buy the level 30 (forget exact level rquirement) space commendation item (forget the name) that boosts your blaster fire/shield regen rate (depending on what you have active) the turrets drop in no time. The SHIELD GENERATORS drop with about 6-8 missile hits. That missions is probably one of the easiest, imo.
  7. There's nothing to spend money on so who would they sell to? Not a real profitable game from a gold farmers perspective.

It costs me 100k if we wipe (albeit unecessarily) for a night while raiding. Granted, while money is stupid easy to make in this game not everyone likes doing dailies.

Gold was stupid easy to make in TBC/Wrath/Cata too, yet gold sellers are still thriving.

  8. Servers are dead... the game is boring, and it just flat out sucks.

    Spin it however you want.

    Opinion. Anecdotal evidence.

My fleet had over 100 people yesterday at 1 PM EST. Belsavis had 50 at 1:05. My keen scientific mind is telling me that the game is doing better than WoW and is bringing in more revenue than China.

  9. Your spreadhseet is incorrect.

She likes Weapons and Military and Atrifacts better then republic memoribilia. Im 100% on this.

*also* IMO culteral artifact are better given to khem unless you have him maxxed or near max.

Not my spreadsheet, found it using Google. I think this is if your character as male, since Courting gives 0 if you're female.

Most of my favour is with Khem, Xalek and Talos. I was too lazy to corrupt Ashara and she actually increased my downtime.

  10. There wasnt any real other mega MMOs coming out at the time that was made, no choices, there has been in past years.

World of Warcraft - (late) November 2004

Other MMOs that released close to WoW:

EverQuest: Omens of War - November 2004

Star Wars Galaxies: Jump to Lightspeed - October 2004

    EverQuest II - November 2004

The Matrix Online - March 2005

    Guild Wars - Aprl 2005

EverQuest II: Desert Of Flames - September 2005 (pushing the time frame).

These were some big releases, for established games/IPs.

  11. Loved Voss, but that was partially due to my class quest (Sith Inquis). On my Sorc, I skipped all of Tatooine because I was way overleveled and went straight to Aldaraan. I decided to do Tatooine on my Operative alt and absolutely loved the main story (Czerka Relic) quest chain.

Honourable mentions are Belsavis and Taris. I know people hate Taris, but I enjoyed it because KoToR is one of my favourite games and I loved that we got to go back.
