  1. So there seem to be a lot of changes since I left. I've only been playing for a few minutes but I've noticed that companions no longer receive bonuses from equipment. In what way(s) are they different now, compared to before? Have they been nerfed? Boosted?

There also seems to be a new "Tactical" slot for my characters. What is it for?

Are they any other major changes I should be aware of?

  2. Just got back into the game, haven't played since the Rakghoul invasion back in the spring of 2012. I understand everything about the Hutt Cartel: the Market, the new currency, etc. However, while there seems to be a decent handful of armor and mounts being sold through the Cartel Market, there are several tons of items being sold by players on the GTN that don't seem to be available on the Market.

So my question is, where are these items coming from? Are they drops, mission rewards, sold by certain vendors? Examples are the Thana Vesh adaptive armor set and the Rendili Shadow mount.

  3. You can say that about ANY of the stats though. Doesn't change the fact that people will be paying a ton for these as a status thing. It just matters that they can adequately replace what people would normal have/want.

Yes, so they're essentially paying for the color of the crystal, not necessarily the stats. And if they are mix/maxing, then it just depends on what they need most on their AC. Since we can't really tell what AC's will be more interested in the crystals, it's impossible to safely narrow it down. You can only take a chance and roll with it.

And if you're really that worried and want to play it safe, get some of each.

  4. I think one of the more known events with Luthor that people would have seen is from the Justice League animated series. It was after Luthor was pardoned and began doing "good" things, however Superman was constantly suspicious of him because of Cadmus, and at each event hosted by Luthor, Superman was lead to believe some catastrophe had been set up by Luthor in some revenge scheme, and everything leading up to them had been designed to infuriate Superman. At the end of it, Superman ended up wrecking a city in a fight with Captain Marvel, only to discover there had been no threat and gifts to the community were all legitimate.

That entire event had been orchestrated by Luthor to make Superman look bad and to get the people to distrust him and the Justice League, and in doing so the Government gave more support to Project Cadmus, which in turn helps Luthor in his future plots. All of it designed to make Superman look like the villain. And it worked.

You forgot Grand Master SS4 Batman in Power Armor.

  6. Making a suggestion, and also trying to understand the logic behind it.

I understand that Presence solely affects your companion. So it's good to have, provided you have a companion out so that you can benefit from the stat.

However, in a full group you get nothing out of it.

It seems to me that, just looking at the word itself, "Presence" should affect anyone around you. If you have a Presence of say 500 points, to me that means you have a high, or Commanding, Presence. So why should that not benefit your teammates as well, especially when your companion isn't with you?

I don't care what kind of buff teammates get from Presence. But to me, to have a significant Presence and have your teammates completely unaffected by it seems a little strange.

  7. One thing I don't like about this game (and there really isn't much I don't like - I am a fan honest) is the fact that half the classes are force users. I get that this is set in a time when there were a lot more jedi/sith around, but half the classes? Really? I think if they were going to have 4 classes per faction it would have been better to have 1 force user and three non-force user classes.

I understand your criticism, but I honestly don't know what other classes they could have added.

Example: Jawa/scrounger class? That might be good and fine, but how would that balance with all of the other classes?

  8. True. It's the same when I was working on my UI the other day and got logged before I saved. I was still active, but apparently not by the game's current definition of "active."

If I could be logged out and work on my UI, or an in-game email, great! But since there's no option for that, we have to be logged in, and working under a time limit.

The only work around is to move your character around every now and then, but you have to keep remembering to do it.

  9. Hello everyone! At BioWare we're always listening to our fans and we've heard our community's comments around players with Level 50 characters being the only group awarded 30 days of play time. We appreciate the feedback and are pleased to announce that we are expanding our Legacy Promotion, also awarding 30 days of play time at no charge to players that have reached Legacy Level 6 (who may not have a 50th level character).

We just released the innovative Legacy System as part of Game Update 1.2, and felt that looking at Legacy point progression across all of your characters was a great way to reward our most avid players. This means that any of the experience you earn with any of your characters brings you closer to the goal of Legacy Level 6. The choice of how to get to Legacy Level 6 is yours.

First, you need to have passed Chapter 1 to unlock your legacy. Examples of how to get to Legacy Level 6 include:

A pair of characters Level 45 and 42

A trio of characters of Levels 45, 32 and 32

    A bunch of characters Levels 35, 33, 31, 29 and 20

A single 50th level character that has enjoyed the endgame for a brief time

Remember these are just examples – you’re free to choose how to earn your Legacy experience to gain Legacy Level 6.

We've also got another significant piece of good news: everyone will have until April 22nd at noon CDT (5:00pm GMT - click here for a time zone converter) to have a Level 50 character or Legacy Level 6 on their account to get 30 days of game time on us. (Your 30 days of game time will be applied to your account on April 25th by 11:59pm CDT.) Players will now have multiple options, as well as more time, to try and reach these goals and play all the great new content in Game Update 1.2.

As always, we appreciate your feedback and will do our best to surprise and delight our customers.
