Hi,
I played SWTOR since beta and until April 2012, loved the game, however after I finished the story on my BH I stopped subbing. Now coming back after all this time, I feel that the game hasn't changed all that much, apart from the cartel market thing.
I love the game very much and I would be interested to play RotHC since subscribers get it free, also the Starfighter minigame is awesome but I don't know If I should resub because I can't play everyday, I play a day and the next day I don't , then I play again the next one and so on.
I want to level a sith warrior for the storyline and gameplay, do you think I need to be a subscriber to enjoy the story at its full level , would I have any inconvinience while leveling as a preffered status player?

LFD was the best thing WoW ever did.
I am not sure where all this community nonsense comes from. My guild met after the LFD and we are still playing the game today. Is that community?

ROFL, are you running around mauling everything? If you are you're doing it wrong, my main is a shadow and I've played all of the specs, as infiltration you only use maul/shadow strike when find weakness buff is up and still even then its not highest in the priority, its 2 x clarivoyant strike pop adrenal and relic and force potency into a force breach/discharge into a project/shock and then if find weakness is popped you low slash into a maul/shadow strike. If all you do is maul you will be focused starved and useless not to mention you have a lot more burst the way you're supposed to. And if your tank spec and your doing 2-3 mauls in a row to a sent then you are once again doing it wrong.
I'm also not a sent, I'm a shadow and a vanguard so I'm not mad brah and I don't care about your cool story
lol, ofc im not using only maul , I open with that, im lvl 22. I use alot of abilities and spells

A DPS assassin? Oh yeah, I know those guys. The dudes who die in 2-3 hits and then just run from me the rest of the match on my Guardian.

Im a lvl 22 assasin and I love the deception tree so far, Surging charge is awesome , very good for lvling and in warzones I find myself occupying 3rd or 4th place most of the time, despite the fact that im 22 only.
Do you guys agree?

With 2-3 mauls they are half HP. pretty easy kills.
I find sages to be harder than Gunslinger/sniper

I just love playing my assasin, the sweet revenge of disposing of the guardians and OP sentinels in PvP is awesome.
Since I cant play my merc because its eaten alive by senti/maras , I play assasin and with 2 -3 mauls, I leave them half HP .
Assasins are def the sentinels anticlass.

Pyro suck and if i have to switch to pyro because Bioware are brainless developpers who don't realise how broken merc are, then I would rather quit this game and look for something that makes more sense. .

So you think we, as mercs, should be able to beat maras/sents at both ranged and melee and that is ok?
We dont want that, we want to have a chance against them, to survive and not be killed in 10 seconds . . .

We those that consider mercs are UNPLAYABLE in pvp will continue to complain until Bioware seeses the error of their ways and buffs us back so that we arent cannonfodder to mara / senti FOTM

I own the supposed FOTM class on my sniper. Wanna know my secret? Do not let them in Melee range.
There is nothing wrong with the buff sent/mara got. They are the king of melee dps, and know their class reflects that. You are a ranged DPS, use those 30 meters to your advantage.
Dont let them in melee range? How many leaps and jumps do they have? you push them back , they leap back at you, snare you and ur dead.
Its very hard for mercs to keep them back, again I ask those of you who say: keep them out of melee , HOW MANY LEAPS/JUMPS DO THEY HAVE???

Dear bad player, if you do not know how to take advanatage of one of your most powerful in game attacks, then i don't know what can help. For your knowledge: tracer missle is tech attack: it bypasses any hit rolls, defense stats, shields, and on top of that reduces target armor.

You can either whine here or adapt like some already did (and are faring quite well).
Just 'relearn' how to use Merc under these new circumstances.
says the FOTM sentinel? If no, then I suggest you go play a merc as pyro or arsenal in pvp and then come here and tell me you adapted. PVP for mercs is BROKEN

I do not think he is trolling. Do not take this the wrong way, but I have a ton of guildies who play regularly and LOVE pvp as a merc, even after the nerf, on both the DPS and Healing side.
It might be time for you to look how your playing your class and even double check your spec. Cause there might just be one thing you are missing that may change your experience as a whole.
Im using the standard pvp builds for both arsenal and pyro, im using the correct rotation on both specs, I have full recruit gear with battlemaster chest and champion relics.
FOTM sentienls and guardians demolishes mercs, not just me but alot of merc players complain that they are cannonfodder for fotm senti and guardian

My application was accepted and I thank you for that. My free 7 day sub runs out today (I want to mention that Ive played SWTOR since beta till April 2012 ) .
I want to know if I can be in the guild as a preffered status player because even if I sub I won't be playing every day ( I have a gf ) , so my gaming schedule goes something like this : gaming day > no gaming day > gaming day > no gaming day and so on, not to mention that during the Winter Holidays I will be away from the computer and Ill prolly be back in January.
So I wanted you guys to know these things because I don't want you to think that Im not active. In my gaming days Ill probably play 3 hours per evening.
