He is great for leveling...but... but... you actually have to dps if you use him. No down time
-
Just hook me up with the hot tub. Need to get my party on.
-
I can not think of a reason to have either on the hotbar. Deleted long ago.

I went Kaliyo, then Lokin, then switched to Temple after gearing her up. She's a beast with good blasters.
I liked Lokin leveling as he eliminated downtime.
If he is dieing then you should probably make sure that you are attacking first. Do you have him in Med watch stance? He is really a decent healer if you get him some gear. If he is in greens you may want to get him some modable orange gear.

(1) Our max range is 35 meters. This is a joke. It takes all sniper-ness out of sniper. If range was increased (50m), I wouldn't have any more problems with the class.
(2) Must of our abilities require being in cover. And our abilities have timers. That means someone can hide behind a structure when we are preparing to shoot at them, and then pop out and blast us during the timer. This happens to me every WZ. If we don't get increased range, then the cover requirement should be removed. The damage we deal isn't higher than the other classes, why must we kneel down? If we could move during the timer, we would be effective 1-on-1.
1. IMO - 50M would not be practical for balancing reasons.
2. Then you wouldn't be a SWTOR Sniper then. I suggest you go Merc as it sounds like the type of class you would like.

Lots of different endings. Besides the bugged fight, I thought the story arc was awesome. To bad you didn't like it.
I personally went rogue and am a free lancer.

Just a random thought on the subject; I don't think the game developers need to know players input on data parses, or combat logs to make balance changes, when they have all the data they need right in front of them behind the scenes. I mean, sure.. player input can help a little, but... >.>
My only real concern is this: people playing these classes getting constantly adjusted don't usually enjoy being on the nerf/buff roller coaster ride, so I hope they find some sort of "sweet spot" sooner, rather than later.
Actually, I think an active player base/interaction with Dev's is critical to ongoing sustainability. For example, the poor itemization on Rakata. But I would also have to share the blame with the Alpha/Beta testers.
So, don't be quiet, rise up and be heard.

I use F for cover in place. I never roll into cover, hate that ability.
-
And these abilities fit in with the Sniper class how?
-
Story wise: Kaliyo. Was conflicted with her. Didn't know if I could trust her, but I dig chicks with piercings.
Utility: Lokin for the uptime.
Later on, I've grown to like Temple since I upgraded her to the orange blaster pistols and she does some nice dps.

This forum is only for sandy vag

I actually wondered the same thing while questing. Seemed odd that I would basically introduce myself. Definitely not immersive. Probably difficult to balance quests to fit just one particular playstyle

dont worry OP, the illiterate agree with you!
Actually you should re-read the Ops post again there slappy. You obviously have trouble comprehending sarcasm and levity in their post.
Please re-read, take the test and post some more thanks. I will gladly grade your final exam.

It is correct that natural cover isn't as useful as one could wish.. but it can actually be useful in some cases. For instance in PVE if you're up against a tough ranged mob, you can spam your stuff and duck behind cover to regain your energy, being virtually immune to damage (apart from the occational grenade perhaps ).
In PVP I've been tanking other "inexperienced" snipers and the like as well, just by staying in cover. And no in most cases it won't work out so well, but in the right situation it's handy.
My biggest issue with it is that it only works against strictly ranged standard bullet attacks.. For instance most special bullets from troopers (grav rounds etc.) will go straight through, and most other similar abilities will do the same.
I'd like to see that it covers you from basically all attacks that doesn't actually circumvent the cover, even lightning or rocks thrown by jedi. Grenades or lightning from above on the other hand, should of course still hit you.
Also notice that this is of course only if they are in your "defensive cone".
Cover is almost OP at times. I've had 3 Elite mobs on me blasting away at ranged while the other 3 folks were reviving. I just sat there while they blasted away taking zero damage. I am sure the bugginess of the skill will be improved over time... I hope.

I vote no. I'm fine with current range.
I would like another interupt or reduced recast time though I'm sure that is not on the table...
-
Not sure why people are ripping on the poster. You never said "Fact" anywhere. I am glad you are having fun.
And here is my "Opinion". If this class is underpowered then I am glad I am, cause nothing would be alive for more than 3 seconds if the class was buffed up.
Cover is a pita but I am sure they will improve it.

I use Lokin. He just works with my playstyle. I burn and he keeps me alive.

I switched to:
Doc. Much better for uptime with him
