  1. Lol I love it when ppl come to complain on a forum but not to read the changes.

This was discussed in depth before 1.2hit.

You felt you needed different mods in your gear and took advantage of that pre 1.2

The game developer then in an update decide to change the original mods so you feel entitled to get the updated ones you changed out?

They did not force you, you chose to and they also gave warning incase you wanted to put the old mods back in.

So many ppl want to hate just to hate on bw but in this case I think what they have done is acceptable. Not always the case to be sure, but give them hate when they deserve it.

  2. Yes, currently its not carrying over, and I just know they are going to stay something stupid like, "oh we meant set bonus' from post 1.2 gear. I thought that would have been common knowledge LOL sorry"

Unfortunately you cant fire someone that doesnt work for your company. They outsource their art. Probably to a company that has no experience in art or design.

Actually they explained it a few times that the armor mods carry set bonuses only for post 1.2 gear. All the previous gear the set bonus is still in the shell.

Not biowares fault you can use the forums to whine but not to read. :p

  3. With how the OP is doing his utmost to make himself look like a god amongst men one can be fairly certain that in warzones he dies the minute he gets targeted.

As with all the speculation, only time will tell. You have to give ppl time to experiment then and only then will you see the comps that take it to the top of the rated list.

  4. No info? I suppose if you clicked past the warning telling you its perminant and for all your toons. Half recall it mentioned it on the window that you input the legacy name into to.

I support the introduction of the ability to change (likely as a paid service as that's pretty much industry standard), but this no info is just plain false on the name part.

The popup and more info wasnt added till later after quite a few posts started surficing asking to change thier legacy name as they didnt understand or know it was permanent for every character made there after.

  5. security questions are so stupid. You get a hold of a persons security questions and answers and you might as well open up a credit card in their name, buy a new house etc.

Very disturbing the amount of questions SWTOR asked too.

We are all eventually screwed if we all answered them.

You do know that you should never ever answer the actual question right?

If it asks for favorite movie your answer should be something like jQ@3fO87.

Same randomness to any site that has a security question even a bank, same with all passwords.

Also anything that asks for a mothers maiden name should be the same jumble.

Doing anything else is just seriously asking for trouble.

  6. People get their info stolen numerous ways but one of the top ways is via malicious web pages.

People are now going to be checking web pages that are offering ways to parse the offline combat log. It's a pretty safe wager not all of those web pages are going to have honest intent.

I am not sure why Bioware does not offer an in game version of combat parse so we can just check it right there. Instead we are going to have to rely on external sources. Sadly many players do not practice good web safety and they will get their accounts stolen.

This impacts us all because now the customer service people are even more tied up dealing with an issue that would have been very simple to avoid.

Your logic is completely flawed. You can not in anyway shape or form blame bioware for what someone else does.

Lets use your logic for a second. I hereby blame blizzard for making wow and thus guildwebsites being made that had keyloggers.

I blame the makers of rift for having combat logs that needed a parser.

I blame the makers of any product that requires me to visit a website for any information at all.

I understand you didnt get what you wanted and so know have to come up with half baked attacks to try to sway ppl to your cause but this attempt is just laughably ignorant.

  7. I truly pity the world , when "common sense" and not being a mouthbreather makes you an elitist or "special".

How about you leave the personal attacks and tell me all the situations where backpedale is better.

P.S. please show on the doll where the mean arena gladiator touched you.

Still having to berate and posture to feel good, I already told you that everything will be ok.

You are the "special" kid, you are supreme, noone else compares.

Now, have a cold glass of milk with your cookie.

  8. My "accomplishments" wow wize, are during TBC season 3/4. I stopped playing that crap it turned into after mid WOTLK..

But please tell me the last time you were sponsored to play a video game.

All that aside, please tell me all the situations where backpedal is superi....bawhaha, can't do it with a trait face.

Its ok, you are still "special", no need to keep posturing. here have a cookie.

  9. Turn your camera with your mouse? while using strafe? which doesn't "snare" yourself?

Let me give you undeniable argument, if you have not played high level wow arena, at least watch some tournaments, or rank 1 player videos. Best players (wow) in the world. None backpedale under any circumstance.

Players that want to squeeze every little bit of performance of their class and gameplay, if there was at least 1 !! however situational moment where backpedale would be useful, don't you think we would use it ?

p.s. i played a mage and a rogue in wow , both to rank1 , and my mage in blizz tournaments as well.

Cone attacks or not, backpedale is always worse.

Aww rank 1 in the special olympics how cute.

  10. To play huttball to win very little actual killing and or healing happens. Many times ive been on a team that scored its 6 goals in very little time as we set up on thier scaffolding and gotten zero medals.....

You actually come out ahead if you dont play that warzone as intended.

  11. No; You do not know what you are talking about.

Yes if Innervate crits. Either the initial heal or one of the three hot ticks.

At 33% crit chance that is a probability of getting the effect after casting Innervate = .33+.33+.33+.33 = 1.32; That's over 100% chance of getting the effect.

    /snip

You are again wrong and horribly so. You do not add percent chance together for an overime ability.

At 33percent chance to crit, your chance at a crit is 33percent for intial and every tick thereafter.

You are misrepresenting abilities and straight out lying to make your point, that is a no no if you want to be taken seriously.

  12. I dont know if you are purposefully missing the whole point they try to make them mutually exclusive or what.

The best gear in the game under your rules would have to be obtained thru both exclusive pvping and pveing.

You do this and raiders will whine welfare gear.

If you only allow best gear to be obtained thru pve and you lose all pvpers who hate scripted encounters and whine that they get killed, not by skill, but because they have better gear not obtained thru pvp.

The real solution is to keep pve gear as is and the minute you enter a wz everyone is in identical gear based on class and spec.

this dont help world pvp, but well, there is none.

IMO pvp should never be a gear grind, you should do it because you like to do it and rated wz's will give pvpers thier ranking system to achieve and be proud of.

  13. You can use it every 10 seconds for no debuff. You have a talent tree that gives you no cost consumption.

You might wanna get your facts right first. We get a talent that when we cast innervate and it crits we get a no health cost consuption.

yes it is nice, but it requires to cast an ability that uses force first, requires it to crit and then to use a global cooldown.

Seriously you are reaching far to justify this whine.

BW knows for certain why they made it the way they did, Ill assume it has to do with regen mechanics which makes logical sense.

  14. Six sorcs/sages; I see it semi-regularly now, and it dominates any warzone.

I just don't see how it won't be boring in a month or two when you're still playing the same three maps and it's always 6 sorcs v 6 sages, with the last four first-time PUGs who don't know well enough to know that BW hates melee.

The only way 6 sorc/sage are dominating any warzone is if 3 of them are heal spec and that has nothing to do with being a sorc/sage as any healer could replace them.

BW hates melee huh, that also has nothing at all to do with just sage/sorc.

Do you really have a concern or just need a doll to show us where the sage/sorc touched you?

  15. Clever slight of hand there. He says that Commandos and Scoundrels are able to successfully run 16 man Operations at all difficulty levels. That's absolutely true. There's no hard-coded game mechanic that kicks them out of 16-man Nightmare content.

However, he says nothing about whether a group with only Commando/Scoundrel healing can succeed. He also says very little about the differing performance levels between the healers, until he gets to the end...when he acknowledges that Commando/Scoundrel AoE is getting buffed, and Sage/Sorc healing is getting nerfed.

Read between the lines. At the end of the day, Scoundrels/Commandos are getting buffed, Sages are getting nerfed. Everything else is just trying to dress it up so it doesn't sound like there are major imbalance issues right now.

actually you need to reread. They are not nerfing sorc/sage they are fixing a bug that allowed them to cast twice off of one proc.

  16. agree 100%

this is why I leave as well.

I dont mind a loss if it was a good fight. but its incredibly frustrating to be the only person trying to kill a healer when everyone else is chasing a dpser.

do people just not look up on a ramp ? do they not wonder "gee im doing a ton of dps but this player's health is still at 100%" ? do they not notice the healer healing the other healer while im the only one trying to kill him ?

I'll suffer a loss any day of the week but Im not going to be farm bait simply because the other players only care about medals and that ridiculous ranking system at the end

I've literally had players tell me "please dont throw me the ball" or watch them toss it on the ground so they can go back to killing. i should be forced to play with someone like that ????

Yes you should because you choose que solo.

You are most likely the person that spouts garbage then rage quits instead of asking the ops ldr to mark the healers for ease of kill.

How you can possibly get upset by someone telling you dont throw me the ball Ill never uderstand. That person is letting you know they arent a ball carrier.

Pugging pvp means dealing with all that que or sitting in timeout like the kid you act like!~

So many dont seem to understand how bad it can get. Here is an example started a civil war match, both sides full, before the game starts our side now has 4 ppl. We get reinforcements but only after we land and the other sides numerical advantage had them at a 3 cap, followed by the reinforcments leaving cause they see this.

Its a vicious circle, especially when you see those that quit get put back in the group only to quit again.

  17. Thats just being stupid m8 stop being a hater.

The game looks amazing. It also runs amazing while doing so which cant be said about swtor.

Unless muddy textures and blocky shadows are what you consider to be top of the line graphics.

You cant ever say someone is wrong on what they deem to be good or bad graphics. As what someone likes or dont like is completely subjective.

I for one think it looks like a big pile of poo because I hate anime and pedophiles.

Swotr is just fine for me, I would rather they keep working on more important projects rather than "omg need sparkle pony graphics from the ADD crowd".

  18. They should just make republic cooler. Simple fix :

    Opinion stated as fact

    - Stories are boring as hell for the most part.

    Opinion stated as fact

    - End-game gear is so ugly, it makes my eyes bleed.

    Opinions stated as fact

    - Mirrored abilities for the most part are flashier and cooler on empire side. Plus ability delays on republic side are worse than the mirrored empire versions.

Flashier and cooler is again opinion stated as fact. Only non mirrored ability ive seen between rep and emp is rock throw vs lightning shock. I actually prefer the pebble stream to the lightning stream in pvp cause the lightning stream is a big fat "come kill me" indicator.

I planned to play republic untill i tried beta. Tried a Jedi consular, jedi knight, and trooper. Prologue story and beginning of chapter 1 are boring as hell. Tried Sith inquisitor and leveled her to level 50, and i have a level 32 BH alt. Never turned back to republic side.

It honestly feels like they seperated Republic and empire content into two different dev teams, and empire got the most ambitious one.

Why oh why do people still think their opinions are fact ....

  19. Gotta love how so many, op included, think that tedium would be more fun.

Taking hours to clear trash then hours to beat on a boss = tedium.

There is nothing wrong with the pace of the operations, just some more interesting tactics would be nice.

Here is a truth that needs drilled into both player and developers heads.

There are 2 choices to any mmo -

    1. Leveling to cap, in which case lvling should take at least 6months to hit cap for the nolifers and longer for others. In this scenario the development time is spent on the lvling process and while ppl are doing that they are paying you to develop the end game.

    2. You start everyone at cap, ala no lvls at all, and make just end game content. This scenario development time is spent on raids and dungeons and crafting and exploring ect.

swtor tried to do number 1 but made one humongous mistake, lvling in swtor takes mebbe 40hours played to reach cap and thus alot of the development time spent on the lvling process is never seen.

The mistake players make is thinking that any mmo released with a leveling system will have any kind of serious endgame content out of the box. End game content is made while we pay to lvl. This is how it has always been and anyone who thinks differently is deluding themselves.

  20. and swtor takes it s tep further and shard the cities . In fact, each zone in swtor is sharded.

And they are not the first to shard. Guildwars, eq2, aion, ect all shard the zones. Sharding helps reduce fps issues for ppl with low end rigs. Sharding helps alleviate the need to monitor respawn times for heavy vs light traffic. Sharding helps alleviate the initial bulge of ppl that are in the same area for a game launch.

Honestly, why not shard I do not see the downside, there are enough ppl to form groups and you have to wait 30sec, might just be me damn you load times!~, to switch to be with your group...omg the horror.

To the person that says you never see the other faction, on certain worlds this might be true but at least starting with nar shadaa you can encounter other players so you really shouldnt talk in absolutes there friend.

  21. Its not about putting emphasis on any role.

For flashpoints your group make up has to be 1 tank/1healer/2dps

Logically it follows that in 8 man you'd need 2 tanks and in 16 man 4 tanks. Why? because when you only require 1 tank in ops that means atleast half the tanks will have to reroll or not do any ops. This creates a tank shortage in general.

Tank shortage in general, since when have the raid tanks ever deigned to lower themselves to general groupage for flashpoints.

Of all the things to complain about you choose the number of tanks for ops...
