  1. I really don't understand why people love Ahsoka: yes, the gamers love her because of Ashara Zavros. As a cartoon character, Ahsoka is nothing special, her only advantage, the one that makes people love her is her species, i bet no one would have ever cared about her if she was a human or Mirialan.

No offense, but Ahsoka is the very definition of a MarySue, a character with no background story introduced just because of "lack of racial diversity" or " lack of females".

    I like Ahsoka because she's sassy. I hate Ashara because she's a *****.

Also, not sure you know what the term "Mary Sue" means, it has absolutely nothing to do with diversity.

  2. When you low level and get to fleet for the first time usually you are poor and can't afford the cure.

And the fleet is full with those sick green people who are blowing up and infect you intentionally.

By the time you get to Fleet you are not THAT poor to not be able to afford a vaccine unless you've managed to level without doing any quests or killing anything.

Especially if you're at the point in your story quests when you reach w/e planet the Plague event is on.

  3. But I guess we live in a world where everything needs to be labeled and we're quick to judge, especially when a character doesn't suit our fancy or ideal. Where we maintain our own, sometimes double, standards on who gets to be extraordinary and who doesn't.

    I agree with that completely.

For Rey, her biggest flaws for me was being a condescending, know-it-all(not as in she was so well talented, but how she would treat people, especially Finn), entitled brat.

  4. you can buy a host of different armors on the gtn and replicate his exact look probably

Yea, his chest, belt, and bottoms have light armor equivalents. Not sure about the helm. I'm not in the game right now, so don't know the names. When I play later, I'll look and post if someone else hasn't already.

If you do a search on the GTN for Armor: Light: Chest: Standard, you'll see quite a few chest items that resembles Jadus's armor.

  5. For this feedback thread we are currently not looking for weapon or armor set suggestions.

    Let us know your thoughts!

Probably already asked and answered(maybe not, didn't see any other Dev posts), but do you plan on making a feedback thread for weapon and armor set suggestions?

  6. 1st of all is those chips werent drop from anywhere before , and we need to buy them by ourselves, its 1st time that drop from anywehre.

2nd 2 bank slots wasnt a deal, and was large icons and count number that can be seen fast and easier than now

3rd its worst move ever for THIS specific ability / item / call it whatever you like

4th if they made the chips BoL with this update still the problem will persist (refering to number 2)

    night all

If they make them Bind on Legacy, then there wouldn't be any problems at all. They'll go straight to your shared Legacy currency in the Currency tab :D You wouldn't need to shuffle around characters to see where they are, they'd all be in one spot as soon as you picked them up.

  7. Of course it is your right to agree with the op, and new and refreshing items are probably desired by all. And while someone may find Recolored Droid pet 5000 a boring reward, it's still free and you can delete it if you don't want it or just not participate. Like me, I wont be getting any droid, mainly because I'm not very active in swtor at the moment, but yeah!:o

Now I guess you could argue and say, "But if it was something new and refreshing you would get it":rak_03: and yes I would, but this isn't really about me.

May not necessarily be about you specifically, but (general)you the gamer are what the game needs to be able to do this type of thing, to keep the light on, etc..., so maybe they should take heed and try a little harder :p

  8. It's a bit odd to feel so strongly about it, judging by your post. I mean, it is free stuff for little to no effort.

That said, I do think the mini pets are generally a bit underwhelming, so I wont really bother with it myself. But there are those who like to collect everything they can so it's nice for them.:)

But considering it's a charity event, I don't see how it matters in this case.

Eh, that makes it too easy to give sub-par stuff. "It's free, don't complain!". "It's for charity, how dare you complain!". Very easy to shift the negativity from the giver to the receiver, IMNSHO.

  9. I understand your concerns, but I think there will be a reason for all of it coming so "naturally" to her.

IMO, her and Kylo have got to be siblings...there's no other way to explain their connection (only Luke and Leia have had a similar connection). I believe she was trained in everything she's good at, it's just been erased from her memory. To me, it's the only way to explain it all.

I was thinking that maybe her Force ability makes her able to sense another's abilities and learn from them? Like Kylo tried to use the Force to get her to tell him stuff, she resisted it, but now her Force ability lets her try to Force Persuade the Stormtrooper. Then when she's fighting Kylo, she's picking up on how he's using the Force during their saber duel. Still makes her a bit of a Mary Sue though :p "You can do it, now I can 'cause I copied your power!!"

  10. So you'd think, except;

    http://www.vulture.com/2018/05/lando-is-pansexual-says-solo-writer.html

The writer confirms as much, and basically states he wishes he could have taken it further and made it more obvious.

The writer wanted it, but that doesn't mean that's how it came about. Watched the movie, and didn't see it. He may be Pansexual, he may not be, but he wasn't all out flamboyant in your face with it if he was.

  11.

Taking an established skirt chaser such as Lando, a womanizer much like Han, and transforming him into a pansexual who's got the hots for his droid? No.

Lando didn't "have the hots for" his droid in that regard. His droid OTH seemed to have a thing for him.

His droid was a precious commodity to him for the fact that she had extension nav knowledge, and he had a fondness for her like you would a pet.

  12. @beattlebilly

Look, I think somebody already mentioned you should google the producer. But I'll cut to the point, then. With a little google'ing, you will find a picture of Kathleen Kennedy (producer of TFA, TLJ, Solo) wearing a shirt that says "The Force is Female." Now tell me she is not injecting her pet agenda into my beloved Star Wars. This bothers me for reasons that I already stated.

I already know all about that. BUT, as I said, if Rey had been male and it still would have bothered you that he was so powerful with little to no training and explanation why is the supposed "feminist agenda" an issue? I kind of saw it, but I didn't feel like my face was being rubbed in it. I enjoyed the story for what it was, despite the eye-rolling Mary Sue/Stu issues(which still would have bothered me if Rey had been Roy).

  13. No, of course not, because males are better and experts at everything. Duh. :p

A complete rookie instantly becomes awesome at everything, no explanation. That's akin to SWTOR story content going on easy mode, making it trivial (which was a subject of many complaints, if you recall). That's just boring. The producer is trying to make a statement rather than make a good movie, which is something I have a problem with. I don't want to see people's pet agendas. I want to see a good Star Wars movie.

If it would bother you the same way if it had been a male character, then the "feminist agenda" shouldn't be a problem. I'm bothered by Rey being so good at everything with hardly any explanation, but I've been bothered by that in other movies/stories where the protagonist was a male. The gender, and supposed gender agenda, shouldn't be the main focus of the problem. The problem is making the character too competent, too proficient. If it would bother you that a male would be the way Rey was, then ask yourself "Why do I care, why does it bother me, if there's a (possibly perceived) feminist lean to this?"

:D At least with the feminist lean there's a purpose to it, as opposed to when it's done "just because" for lazy story writing :p

  14. Replace "SJW" with "feminist" and you'd have to be blind to not see it, especially once you do a little research on Kathleen Kennedy. They are absolutely free to put a feminist spin on things, and I'm free to not give them my money.

I totally get the the original trilogy was very male dominated. I was even pretty bummed that Leia never learned to use the force. But I think it's been taken way too far. Luke, starting out as a young man with no training, was extremely raw and easily taken down by Vader. It took him a good amount of time to refine his skills. On the other hand, Rey is instantly an expert and takes down emo boy on her first attempt. I'm just sick of these feminists taking things way too far. Let's have some "balance" in the force.

If Rey had been a male character(with the gender being the only thing changed, everything else being the same), would you still feel the same about things being taken too far in regards to her having it way too easy to win?

  15. NOOOOO... it makes her bum and hips look bigger.

Women don’t generally wear belts at that lvl, especially curvaceous women. If you wear a belt higher, it actually makes the waist look even smaller and doesn’t emphasise the hips so much.

The only women I know that wear belts at that lvl are ones without hips ;)

You say that like it's a bad thing, but honestly it makes the character look better, more curvy as opposed to just thicker. Her bum and hips look the same, just the waist is smaller.

  16. You made a story assertion. I answered it. Then you come back and say "lol, story doesn't matter to me anyway." Sorry if I assumed that by asking the question, you care about the answer. But one thing: you very much can pick only those WZs that make sense. They even wrote that they're toying with making "some or all" current WZs cross-faction. The "some" could easily include Huttball and arenas without having to rewrite a single voice announcement at the start of those WZs.

To the assertion that PvPers don't care about story (I do, and know several others who do): have you never played an FPS game? It may be the gameplay that draws players, but if you start having the Axis invade Normandy or Saddam's forces bombing Baghdad "just because," then the game is essentially dead on arrival.

It's the whole reason players love awesome graphics: immersion is important. SW:TOR doesn't have the most amazing graphics compared to more recent games, but it still offers that immersion in the Star Wars universe through the story and atmophere, and that's important because the game would be long dead if it had to succeed on its own merits decoupled from the Star Wars IP.

My immersion in PvP was smashed to smithereens the day I stepped into a WZ and there was a big fat pink Twi'lek male in nothing but his skivvies on the other team named Bill'Clinton. And this was before the costuming system we have now and Covert Armor was a thing, this was when there was the bug/exploit of naked PvP(going into the WZ with nothing but a weapon to exploit bolster).

I get it, RP is a major draw for people in SWTOR, but there's not enough of it to stop this from happening. The vast majority of players want this since they can't/won't give us cross-server PvP and other group activities.

  17. Companion gear: Yea, they made changes to companions. Some don't use their initial weapons anymore. If you play through the expacs, maybe you'll get a better idea why(or not, I didn't pay attention to that :p). You're not limited to named CM sets when it comes to gearing them out. There's plenty of generic sets on the CM, or there's armors you can get in game from various sources(vendors, GTN, loot drops) look for ones that fit the type of companion you're dressing. If you're having trouble, reach out to your fellow RP'ers for help.

The items you bought from the GTN: How long ago did you do that, and are you 100% certain you had the Tythonian saber or did you get a mail with the 10K credits back because someone bought it before you? If you took the item out of the mail and it was in your inventory, have you gone through ALL your toons on ALL the servers? Have you deleted toons since you bought the saber, and if so are you sure it wasn't on a toon that you deleted? And from what I understand, CS can't refund/restore for GTN transactions.
