My dear Sith Lord. You seem to be a passionate player and I'm afraid your passion for this game may destroy you.

I haven't been like the most avid poster in this forum, but from what I see I don't even understand the use for a bug report  or suggestions session of the forum...

To put things into an interesting perspective: there was a bug with the cartel market sale the other day. They fixed that like their lives depended on it. 2 hours later it was fixed. I don't think, however, this is entirely the devs fault. They have their share of blame sure, but I think most of the blame can be placed on how EA runs their operations.

We all know how that goes: (currently at step 5) the dev team is severely reduced from what it used to be:
    1. They invest the **** out of a new game, and most of the time is more than they can chew (SWTOR was the most expensive MMO ever released)
    2. **** it release it anyway we will fix the bugs later (every patch it's a **** show)
    3. See that there are too many bugs to fix but they got their profit margin from the game first weeks of release (with SWTOR: unless the bug affects the cartel market never fix it)
    4. Don't fix bugs, deliver empty promises, and milk the player base while you are at it with some cosmetics, loot boxes.
    5. Slowly but surely decrease the size of the team involved in the game's development
    6. Game is dead stop development (I don't think this will happen with SWTOR because I think it makes a lot of money and EA doesn't have to spend a dime, it's just great business. That's what you get when you license star wars products, you can release the biggest, steaming, pile of **** and star wars fans will flock to your game like crazy)
    7. Publisher is dead, consume corpse
    8. Rinse and repeat

Another reason MIGHT BE the engine they developed the game on. No developer wants to spend their time and career developing for an unused engine. There might be a shortage of people interested in developing the game. Then again, LOTRO probably has a smaller team and I think the engine is (I don't even know) and they develop the  ****  out of that game, dev livestream constantly, but again their distributor seems to have a different mindset than EA.

Based on this, there are only two ways EA may change their mode of operation with SWTOR. As we have seen in the past: Fifa packs debacle (went to court for "surprise mechanincs" like a kinder egg (come the **** on), Star wars battlefront debacle) They only change their greedy ways when they are called out for it and suffer major backlash (most disliked post on reddit, Belgium legalizing loot boxes) . They don't care about the games, they don't care about you, they care about your money and how can they take it from you in the most efficient matter and sometimes making use of illegal practices (wanting to go against Belgium law to sell FIFA packs, just goes to show the extent they are willing to go to get your money)

I believe there should be a major boycott to swtor until things are addressed. People need to get rightfully angry with this game if they want any change. I'm just tired of writing anything on these forums about bugs, suggestions etc. Its basically screaming into the void of space. I feel your frustration my dear friend but this is the game we have, it doesn't run great, it's poorly optimized, content drops are little and far spaced out. Accept it or move on, that's the advice I give you. Don't let your passion for this game affect your peace of mind. It doesn't deserve it.

I have boycotted the game for many months, even years. Firstly when they introduced cartel market made animation change to project and master strike even before rise of the hutt cartel. Then after they reduced max level on planets by one. after they introduced scaling. It didn't help. Less and less people is playing this game and yet they are not taking the hint. So really do not know if they are able to get it.

Let's not blame everything that is bad on a publisher, okay? I know it is a popular notion to blame ea for every bad decision.

Mass effect 3 original endings weren't ea fault, same as mass effect andromeda. Not to mention their biggest fail, which is anthem.

The reason anthem was released in playable state is because EA stepped in and stopped bickering that was taking place between bioware offices.

I see the same thing with Activision-blizzard. Everything good is blizzard and everything bad is activision. How exactly people know that it is all activision fault.

Another example is dragon age inquisition. EA maybe have told bioware to use frostbyte engine but that doesn't mean they told bioware how the game should look or how would it play. I am not really a fan on big open areas of dragon age inquisition.

Like you said lotro is still going and story is interesting compared to this game story which is going downhill after kotet/kotfe.

That’s something you have to decide yourself.   Why can’t you play the Jugg however?   It doesn’t break the ability as far as I know.

Because i play my jugg for the animations. I choose him for animations since i love them. I cannot player characters/class who has **** animations. It was same in wow, when i stopped playing my paladin after the change animation in legion expansion.  I was playing him from 2007 till 2016. Main reason: animation change/ new skills.

But back to the topic. I love my jugg for his voice and combat animations. So i do not give a **** if it works properly. I am only interested if it looks cool or not.

    Now it doesn't.

    P.S.

Damn, i really was hoping to finish the season but a man really needs to have principles.

  3. So today i logged into my Juggernaut after around 2 years not playing him.  I noticed the slash animation of Juggernaut looks like the slash animation of a marauder.

I skim through the bug forum and i noticed it has been reported in 2022.

So my question is, when it is gonna be fixed?

I cannot play my sith warrior like this.

    Thanks for the info,

    Cheers

Yes. You dc items and then able to buy mods at that gear rating (up to 336). This allows you to get any adaptive armor set, add mods, and control the tertiary stats (Acc, Alac) so you can get to 110% and 7.2%. Then you go rest crit and add crit with the augs. You can min max by mixing up your augs. MK-11 are pricey but if you invest the time to craft, they are pretty easy to make and you can then sell to generate creds.

If i had correct crew skill i would do it.

Any of them, I use them for crafting bots mostly.   Nothing else to spend the tokens on after you've done a season or two so just get the comp you like the looks of.

You can't change the armor on Nico or Paxton, so if you like playing space barbie with the comps keep that in mind.

I neither like Nico nor Paxton, so I wasn't going to buy them anyway but thanks for the heads up.

It is the whole point of this game to look fashionable.

do you know about Hyde and Zeek? they are in the supply area, in the room next to where you upgrade Gear.
You only need one Item at 326,330 / 334 and/or 336 (I think those were the Levels the quests should tell you what you need) then you can Buy components and use modifiable shells.
Just make sure you grabbed the right Quest before dismanteling.
That will massively speed up getting gear and since you can reuse it over and over with better components, you save Credits on Augment kits.

I'm just not 100% sure if the quests are still gated behind average iLVL or not.

If you had 330 Gear with Purple Augments that Gear is basically equal to 340 Gear without Augments so if you need to save credits just keeping the Augmented gear and only upgrade when you can go directly to the cap on that Piece of Equipment. Augments are especially good to get Accuracy to 100% as soon as possible.

I would have problems with augmentations except nowadays augmentation kit mk-11 costs like 5 million credits for one piece and the price for mk-10 is basically the same.

i am not sure how this Hyde and Zeek system works. if I have one item which has item level of 330 and dismantle it then I will get the option to craft 330 mods? Am I getting this right?

I recommend at least getting the blue augments as they are cheap and easy to craft. Others above are right - know your rotation or priority system, but getting to 110% accuracy and 7.2% alacrity will go a long way in bringing up your dps.

I have all blue gear at level 326 and still haven't reached 110%. Upgrading blue takes a long time since it cost 210 fp commendations. I have around 107% accuracy and over 8% alacrity.

Have you looked up a guide for your class and spec?  Rotations are important, it's more than just using the buttons when they light up.

*Gear won't help if you don't have a basic knowledge of your rotation.

I also recommend using starparse and a combat dummy for dps to see how you're doing.

For heals/tanks the combat dummies are pretty much useless, they're more 'learn by doing' roles.

*Gear doesn't hurt though.  Get the right tactical for your class/spec,  and then work on the rest of your gear and rotations.

I got the right tactical according to vukk guide and set up talents according to his guide also.

I am not using augment since they cost millions of credits and I do not have the correct crew skill to craft them myself plus I am upgrading them every 2 or 3 fp.

When the game came out i had no problem with dps. Only now when there is a dps there is a freaking dps problem. That is why I hate combat meters.

The only reason I am doing master fp is that they drop blue gear and they have separate roles for tank, healer, and dps.

  9. So i have item rating of 326. I have about info of low dps. I checked guide for talents, it should be okay.

I still do not have cap for accuracy (only have bonus 6%).  I have first cap for alacrity.

When it comes to my abilities, i only click when they flash since then they are most effective.

I have Veteran flashpoints since i do not like the idea of dungeons without tank and healer.

I know i am not the best player but this should be to at least pull my weight.

Thanks for the help in advance,

    Cheers,

Gear quality is green < blue < purple < gold (there is no gold armor atm).

Best to get the blue fp gear, it's better stats then the green (for dps/heals at least) and you can use the blue fp gear to unlock mods with the hyde and seek quests.

How about item level i have conquest gear at level 326?  i have some flashpoint gear at level 320.

Overall my conquest have higher item level then my fp gear.

  11. So any other MMO's I can reduce the intensity of particle effect in combat.

I am very sensitive when to flashing light/flashing animations so I want to reduce as much as I can to enjoy the game.

Does anyone know which option can reduce the intensity of particle effect in combat?

    Thanks for the info,

    Cheers,

  12. When 7.0 hit i started i started playing again and i noticed leveling is totally broken since this bolster/scale option is broken.

It is like they are doing this to prevent people from having fun.

Firstly they reduced max level for planets by 1, later in patch 7.0 they introduced scaling that not only stops you from getting stronger but makes you weaker.

An example for this can be a starting planet. When i had max level on that planet i had like 5k hit points. When i reached lvl 11 i had less the 4k and less damage then on lvl 10. WTF.

So have they fix it or at least is there any info when it is going to be fixed?

    cheers

  13. So I like ashara. I want to see how the romance plays out.

When it comes to the inquisitor story, I like the prologue and first chapter but not really like the second and the third one.

When I compare the voice lines male and female sith inquisitor, they are a mixed bag.

Some of them sound better on a male inquisitor and some of them on a female.

A lot of cartel armors were made with females in mind but maybe it is only my take on it.

I think a lot of armors look better on females than on males.

So what do you guys think, is the ashara romance any good?

    Thanks for the info.

    Cheers,
