  1. The ball carrier is coming at me. I'll just sit here and regen my health instead of trying to stop or slow him. I'm at 40% I can't die I need full health to stop him. Oops he's out of range now. Guess ill go jump down to the pit to fight this guy that's almost dead instead of getting control of mid.
  2. About the sorc who is dps in a team with no healers...when you aren't specced far enough in the healing tree, healing is very difficult/inefficent in substantial amounts. Longer activation times, plus pushback...it's not like they can make much of a difference healing. I have a scrapper scoundrel with only 3 points in the healing tree and all those points do is increase cunning. Don't expect me to stand there and heal when you have no healers just because I have two heals that by the way, consume a lot of resource and don't give me upper hand so I can use the second heal...so yeah I just had to say that, because (though this has only happened a once), I've been yelled at for doing DPS and not healing...when I was just doing my job by killing the enemies, since my scoundrel is NOT a damn healer. Just because a class has a healing tree, it doesn't mean I rolled it so I could try healing/be a healer, etc. If you have the ball and you're close to the line, and I'm standing behind you, sure I'll give you a couple of underworld medicine shots to keep you alive so you can cross the line...but that's pretty much it.

On the flip side, there have been some who've yelled at my sorc (who is fully heal specced) for not doing DPS...

My smuggler isn't specced for heals either but if using all my resources to keep 1 person up that is doing something g for the win. I'm all for it. Then I can throw down my CCs and vanish. I love ditto right around a corner throwing heals to a guy tanking 3-4 people and them never realize it.

    For content.

"I have to use every stun and soft CC, and slowdown on killing one person rather than using it to open a window to cap. Or save it to help someone else cap. Also I will only use my interrupt on healers because why would I waste it on a dps? They don't have any healers? Well cool that just saves me a button press. Not like stopping that Orbital Strike on the node/door will do any good.

  3. Hey, that guy with the Huttball is waiting forthr fire trap. I'm not gonna be smart and stun him while he's in the trap. I'm mutha frikkin Rambo son. Im gonna wait for him to get through and try to solo dps a tank down while filling his resolve so there's no hope of anyone using knockback/pull to get him down a level where it'll actually matter.

Oh no he scored. That's ok I'll stay here to kill him, that'll teach him for scoring on me! I don't need to help control mid or support our guy that just picked up. Yay! I killed him! What do I'm helping him with a free port in front of our ball carrier. I killed him my leet dps will top the charts which means I'm the man!

Then I will berate you for your lack of stats in any area because you we're busy tactically stunning slowing pulling(swinging in other WZs) people into fire. Or clearing landings to set up passes and clear running routes. Only numbers matter!

  4. In that case, let's make leap more skilled too. I suggest that the leap mechanic will be changed from simply targeting a player to an AOE circle on the ground and unless the player you intend on leaping to is in the aoe when you click the launch button you will miss. Your mouse movement is obviously faster than in-game player movement so this shouldnt be a problem. I have on good authority that skilled players arent affected by latency. The aoe circle will be 3 meters in diameter. Should we make it smaller? Now that I think about it, 3 meters is too much for your skill, let's make it 1 meter.

While I like the idea of it, the last thing they need is to be able to Micheal Jordan onto a higher ramp. It would be going in a GW2 direction with combat.

  5. The sad part is that you are pretty prolific on this site. Really you and your friends decided your challenge would be to ruin the game for some lowbies? You going to go beat up old women to, for the challenge of course.

We can't stop you as really we have no power that does not mean that in the future if we are given the chance to screw you over we won't take it. After all look at all your threads at sometime we will be able to grief the hell out of them. Of course it will be for the challenge

To be fair, those level 10 old ladies walked into the biker bar with weapons looking for trouble already knowing they didn't have the same skills.

  6. Instant knockback more than makes up for it.

    This.

You can turn around instantly like an FPS. I'm not too worried about the overload. The range on the stun concerns me more. That 30m stun has caused more:

    interceptions

    Failed pass receptions

saved more lives so I have time to swing my guard

interrupted that heal till I get in interrupt range

Killed people in the fire/acid pit

Stopped range dps on my ball runner when I'm stuck on another level.

Stopped people short of getting the heal/dps powerup

Just the things I can think of off the top of my head.

  7. Plus people gettin WH gear to tack on 1.72% damage over BM plus the extra stats worth of damage whatever that is Then 1.3 brings augments which adds another couple % minimum. So across a couple patches this skill has jumped up 20% or more with all the corresponding skills doing more and defenses getting better. That's a sizable upgrade.
  8. The best is when the opposite happens, you accidentally hit enter twice so the chat goes away, and you end up dead, but after watching your inventory, crew skills, and character sheet flash before your eyes. :)

I hate when that happens. If you do it too fast with too many windows it'll lock up and you have to reset UI to close them. :/

I'm guilty of hitting my Vanish modifier instead of Spike and inadvertently losing the ball. :jawa_angel:

  9. Hate to admit it but i do this in huttball all the time. I score and i am in their endzone and they grab the ball mid ill let them kill me laugh at them right before i die then come out of spawn force push their ball carrier who runs right to me into the fire grab the ball and score again rinse repeat. So yeah i always laugh at them right before they kill me so to piss them off and ensure they do it over and over. You keep killing me ill keep scoring and winning. Ty for the free ride in front of your ball carrier.

This too. Though I prefer being the brunt of their Nerdrage for as long as possible then vanishing to grab the health pack to get guard the next person grabbing the ball. Unless they grab then I'll take the death for good positioning.

  10. Was in Civil War. And we lost our node because there was no call. Several people asked why and the guy said:

    I was stunned

Are you in Fatman I was in that WZ lol. Actually several of them.

We call Zerg right stealth left at the beginning. This Op keeps banging her head on left instead of helping us. When asked She says "you said to go left"!

    Funnier if you were there.

  11. When the next set of PvP gear becomes available, you will probably gather the current War Hero set in about a week. Just don't PvP until then

Do you see me complaining about Battlemaster gear? I hit Valor 60 back when Warzones gave pitiful ammount of it, didn't exploit Ilum and grinded the BM tokens bag by bag after bag and so on and so on. Now everyone gets in a casual week what took me months. But its ok :D

For the low low price of only 35000 cartel coins a piece!

Though they could set it up where you pay a fee for 20% more pvp comms. And yes that is p2w, but so is limited war zone vs unlimited.

Either way P2W will come at some point when the bottoms line doesn't add up for the stockholders.

  12. Good stuff. Music is a lil slow and makes the action seem slower while changes styles pretty wide. Great music just reminds me of changing radio stations.

I'm always glad to see Relentless at least I know there are some people that know what they are doing.

  13. I hope they come out with it before I gettin WH and offhand, which should take a while with GW out this week.

I must suck. It took me a full week of 4-6hours a night with queues to get full BM(relics etc), starting with BM wep and WH implants. Got WH ear first week as well. Granted I was PUGing the whole time.

  14. Tank asassins were and are the scum class of SWTOR. The only saving grace is that there are many terrible asassins that actually dont know how to use their skills to defeat a sniper or a PT.

Force shroud is one ot the most idiotic skills in this game. Lethality snipers spec into ucleansable dots in order not to become obsolete to cleanses, yet this broken class can remove those dots just as well!!!

Why oh why does the asassin need to have a guaranteed 100% escape ability that can cleanse every damn dot before going invisible, why we cannot have a single spec in this game that can hard counter him and put an end to this cheap force cloak misery?

Why a tank class deserves a free escape??? This idoiotic thing is the reason why objectives are so difficult to capture in WZ. One single class can interrupt the capture long enough until a whole freaking army comes to aid.

Even compared to the hated marauders and pt pyros, i will never have the slightest respect for the asassin. Its a class that never has to deal with Oh!Crap moments, always feeling comfortable in every damn situation and warzone.

A tank having it is a helluva lot less powerful than an Op healer having it IMO. It's hard enough to focus down Op/Smug as it is. Sins vanish(a smart player will know its coming and AOE or stealth scan)

Then that Sin is not combat viable for over 20seconds IF combat drops in 8 sec like its supposed to and you Seeth to heal to full.

I vanish on my smug and heal around a corner(healed by the time I get around the corner if I have HOTs rolling) and back in the fight almost immediately healing, or stunlocking you to death again.

I have the most problem with Mar, Pyro, and geared Ops/Smugs that get the drop.

Even at 1200exp I don't do enough dmg to more than annoy a healer and keep him running away.

  15. You go mid and natural. Period. I pugged two consecutive WZs today where people insisted on "Let's take right and left, leave mid!" Ooh, tricky. Let's focus our efforts on the turret that is the farthest from our spawn point, the closest to theirs, and the farthest away from the turret we are holding.

You win any of the objective based matches by killing the opposing team off long enough to have a free 8 seconds. to cap, and then having good communication and movement between the two points you hold.

Have I ever won holding east/west? Of course. And all I can think is how much easier it would have been if we just did things the right

Taking a speeder then having to run 10seconds to engage the enemy at mid is tactically inferior compared to getting off the speeder within 2 steps of being able to dmg someone. And they rarely ever send more than 2 to their natural. I'll never understand the backward mindset there.

Anyway back on topic. I usually vote for the healer that was letting me use my guard effectively. Otherwise the person that was guarding a node with me and didn't leave me alone. Or the rare person that actually helps me take their natural.

  16. if u went to snow instead of grass just run under and grab the speed buff u would have been to grass in 2-3 seconds? and yes that 1 person in mid would have helped. don't make excuses for bad play.

    This.

It takes a good 10-15 seconds to get to a node AND you can see who holds it before you drop down or round the corner. Then seeing 1 there(which usually involves a stealth too) and continuing on like you didnt notice is definitely a noob move.

They may have been a lil harsh but I can understand their frustration. I can't count how many matches I've seen lost because some noob played Rambo at the 3rd node instead of helping defend. Whether he got it or not, despite popular belief 1 person can make a world of difference when defending. A couple of extra seconds for your teams respawn to get back could have won me more games than I could count.

    Situational awareness. Get some. Please.

  17. Buy Guild Wars 2, then you can pvp at max level with all skills from level 1. And so many weapon and build choices there will never be a true FOTM because you can be heal tanky or DPS or support with every class. Tru tournament play with no Gear2Win play.

Never thought I'd get into it until I researched it. Now I can play both for free soon.
