Mad Props everyone involved it was a great time. I had the stream going and recorded the part were our ops group reached max. We had so many in the ops group i had to scale it down so i could see the rest of the screen.

I pug a lot of PvP and made a short video on some PvP tactics that make a huge difference for any team.

Some PvP basics every PvPer should know about expecially when dealing with matches that have objectives like Alderaan, Novarre, Voidstar, and Hypergate. Please note I am on my Operative at lvl 55 and entered into a 3 cap warzone. I and a pug went to grass with the intention of restoring some semblance of pride and capturing at least one pylon. Check it out the Assassin goes to the pylon and my objective is to run blocker for his capture with only one defender. The cap starts and he gets a few seconds in on it before the commando notices. Sleep dart and when he CC breaks follow it with a flashbang to complete the capture.

ive read this thread and i was still wondering if you guys believe its balanced and dependent on what time you play for imps to be dominant? or have we really tipped in the scales in our favor and imp are improving across the board?

for the record. if you guys in pillars want to put up a rated team, whisper me in game on any of my toons listed below and ill try to put up a Unicorn team to go up against you guys. ive also been putting together some rated kickball matches recently this past week or 2 and weve had some good turnouts and lots of fun so if you guys wanna come out for some rateds just message me in game or on the forums we'll work something out

let me ask you a pretty simple quesiton: what is the maximum number of players you can queue at once in a regular WZ?
now a follow-up: why is that?

Because the devs built it that way. Another thing they built was an ignore button and a little clock by your map. if you dont want to play please place me on ignore and from 9:30 to 11:30 fridays troll someone else.

I'm not sure if youdon't know what you're talking about or you're just a superDouche, but here's a suggestion: if you have 6 ppl, run two teams of 3 and stop trying for a superQ. it's just as fun to play against friends as with them -- more so when they're in voice with you.
I find it pretty frackin' funny that as soon as unicorns start acting civilized, and helping the community with kick ball et al., you show up pushing the same crap that earned them such derision.
I Am sorry you feel that way. I hope our event on Friday s doesn't impact you much. It will be from 9:30-11:30 eastern so you may plan accordingly.

Ashes I all ready said hi to you unicorn stampede/blood bath style in a hypergate the other night when you were on your healer. You just might remember the sin that you had to run from the hole match. This is my welcome to the 55 bracket were it's a hole new animal. then lowbie super que's.

P.S yes i have toon in both unicorn and blood bath no blood bath has nothing to do with unicorn stampede. But i will always be unicorn at heart.
Don't think it is that different. Some of the differences I noticed were
1. Its faster considerably so. Also the better players are a lot better.
2. Its hard to score kills and requires more focus on objectives
3. 50% of the people participating are wearing pve gear not because its better just because its what they Have
4. Most people are cool, friendly, and nice.
5. Its more fun with people you know.

it involves spamming fleet for at least 16 people who would join in rwzs, a voice chat server, and then splitting the two teams as evenly as possible and queueing. it just takes a lot of time to organize.
Perhaps a better way would be to our out a sign up roster on the boards with some alternate spots available. Is that an ootion?

HEY YO!! Your PvP Host with the Most ASHES here!!
First I feel I would like to start over as I came in to a well established sandbox and started kicking sand around rubbing people the wrong way by posting videos of us superqueueing. After some backlash out of respect I took them down. Please accept my apologies for those that dont like that kind of thing.
So with that I would like to inform you ahead of time as a guild we are slowing building PvP interest and are queueing every day Pub and Imp side. In most cases the teams are usually 1-3 people that just happen to be on at the same time. Now that the word is out some people have joined us and sometimes the teams can grow to 4-6. I am here to let you know today the teams that I run with more than 4 on a team i will work to keep on our Friday Night Fights event but may pick up a few times during the week. Here is an example of a team. We actually brought someone into their first huttball and it was a great one that came down to the last second. Click the link below to watch. Spoiler there are 5 of us on the team so if you are offended by this type of stuff please don't watch.
Also sometimes we queue up we end up fighting eachother! Warning 7 of us queued and one team got 3 and the other got 4. Again if you are easily offended please look elsewhere!
We even make time to have a little fun on Imp side. I am learning lightening spec and am uber bad so two of us queued here. We had a small gut from the first match i got stomped 6-0 but wanted the beginning that is why there is a jump.
And YES we can PvP in the 55 bracket!! Not super well. This win was not all i would have liked because the other team ran short and played from behind all match. Props for sticking with it. The rest of the night another premade was stomping the hell out of us...Luna, Knoxx and Juice all had to wipe their feet before driving home because of the mess they left us in. I certainly have a lot still to learn.
Everyonce in a while we get a celebrity to stop by. Mucho gracias to Bella'Mortis for hanging out and grats on 55 today. You make every team better when you are on it.
So as you can see we are still quite the motley bunch having a good time. I hope that when you see us in zone you give a shout out so we can send a gg back. So I look forward to seeing you in the WZ next Friday and Saturday.

Ex-Pillars pvp officer here. When I found out that these "new" (i think many of them are new to the game) pillars started superqueueing on a regular basis in 55s and lowbies and had the audacity to post videos of them on the SWTOR boards, I did everything I could to discourage this behaviour to these players, but I got partially shut down and not surprisingly I have had minimal effect. As far as they care, they think they're having lots of fun and think they're improving, but they don't seem to grasp the disrespect they are inflicting on themselves and more importantly everyone else on the server.
I would like to add that many of you know of the Pillars of old that ran legit competitive ranked every week against Uncensored, LD50, QQ, Infidels, etc. such as Bellatormortis, Letareus, Scrubin, Daney (myself) and didn't do or condone crap like this. 99% of us have since moved on to other guilds and/or switched servers or quit the game, and I would like to say that we have nothing to do with the ideology of these new crop of Pillars players. Sad to hear our old reputation is going down this way. Please remember us fondly.

Your voice was heard. Please allow me to apologize for any 'taint' to your reputation for my actions. However i do think its important to note the interest in PvP in PoA is growing and along the way i made a decision without considering how it may have impacted you and what you have accomplished. Please allow me to assure you there is nothing i can do to take away all that you and the others accomplished in the golden age of PoA PvP. You and those you named will be forever great and remembered as such.
But...as you know people and times change. You are gone from PoA and I am here. My goal is one and one only to make PvP as fun and accessible for all who play on my team or head to head with me. I have started organizing PvP teams Friday and Saturday nights. I will be posting on the JC server boards with a link on the PvP forums.
Friday Night Fights for 30-54 and Saturday Nights for 55. Now for you and everyone else please know that these nights we will be queueing with as many or as few people that join. Friday we had between 3-6 and Saturday we hit a max of 4. I think as interest grows and word gets out we may eventually be able to put together a rated team after 6-8 weeks. I understand that isnt the way you did it, but i am supporting it now and this is the way its gonna be.
So with all of that i hope you can find time and stop by. if not see you in WZ. GLHF!
