  1. The bottom line is, from a PVP perspective there are no good Scrapper hybrid builds.

The biggest problem with Scoundrel hybrid builds is that we simply don't have the resources (energy) to pull it off well. Most of the best spent points are to reduce energy use in our core abilities.

Drop energy costs and suddenly hybrid looks more viable, but at the moment, none of the builds provided above are as effective as 31 point builds.

As much as people single out Kolto Cloud, the numbers may seem small but over time they are very helpful. I think everyone agrees that Kolto Cloud needs a buff though. A sawbones based hybrid is the closest thing we have to a half decent hybrid, but it still sucks.

Scrapper and Dirty Fighting Hybrids are a joke and not viable in any way.

Scrapper doesn't even exist without Fletchette, you're useless.

Haemorrhaging Blast is the only thing that makes Dirty Fighting even half decent against a single target, the spec sucks badly with it, its 3x worse without it.

This might change if we were able to stack more Upper Hands and they were able to be acquired from more abilities.

  2. DF sucks in every way compared to every other spec/class combo in the game. Worst of the lot, can't heal, can't DPS, and all your damage is purgable.

The only thing you can really do on a DF Scoundrel is help stop caps in WZ's.

Don't bother, seriously, its just an exercise in futility.

  3. Good post imo.

Sorcs/Sages are way OP in PVP.

Its just the most frustrating fight when you're knocked back, then rooted while lightning tears you up as you run towards them in slow motion. I'm often dead before I even get back to them a second time and that's with full PVP gear.

If I'm not dead, then I get stunned/or whatever that lightning spin thingee is and I'm dead shortly after, nothing I can do about it with 1 CC break on a 2 minute timer.

I think bubble is too strong too, does guard and other damage mitigation effects change the way it works? It just seems that sometimes I hit bubbles forever without knocking them off and other times they seem more reasonable.

As a Scoundrel with Defense Screen I can tell you they are a long way from each other in terms of power, what always seems 1 or max 2 hits shielded can be 5+ on a Sorc.

Their speed burst doesn't seem to work properly when I snare them too, almots like they're unaffected by it while the speed is up.

  4. Sawbones is pretty awesome at PvP healing.

You can tell you're not 50 with your Scoundrel. Please, get 50, PVP against people that aren't scrubs and then come back here and repost the truth.

Sawbones isn't even close to Sage healing in any way shape or form, they have less mitigation, less survivability and less healing. Play against any decent player and Disappearing Act is useless, Dodge is useless, Defense Screen is useless, HoTs are slow and useless.

The only thing that keeps us even remotely alive is the below 30% EMP spam heal that renders us useless for anything else but delaying the inevitable death.

  5. Dirty Fighting is good at:

    -Stopping caps

-Pretending to contribute to your team

    Dirty Fighting is bad at:

    -Everything else

I played the spec for almost 2 weeks when they announced the Scrapper nerf. It's complete garbage (for PvP... PvE, it actually seemed fine, just clunky). It's very effective against terrible players that don't know they can cleanse all your damage or that you still operate in melee range. Scrapper is still great after the nerf, especially for 1v1s/taking out squish in the back and does everything better than Dirty Fighting, except stopping caps.

Agree, Dirty Fighting needs some serious love.

  6. For seeing a problem that was game breaking for a chunk of people and fixing it in a timely and decisive manner. Kudos, keep up the good work.

    Thankyou Bioware

For seeing a problem that wasn't in any way game breaking for a chunk of whiners and taking the servers down another night so Oceanics can't play.

  7. I just had to log in to post here.

Downtime? Not once since the start has there been any downtime except patches. And to be frank, it is not that much. Once as standard and maybe sometimes twice a week there is downtime, and they always let us know. Only once have I encountered an unstable server where I couldn't quest or do instances. Granted I don't PvP but I have to say that the stability of the servers from my PoV are great.

Noone gives a flying **** why the servers are down, but when I pay a subscription for a game I can play max 5 days a week instead of 7 because downtime is half the time without notice and right when Oceanics play is ********.

  8. Things happen, patches get rescheduled. That is life - deal with it.

How about some of you idiot trolls think about the primetime that gets changed/downed more than once a week. All good that the US get downtime while they sleep but meanwhile the rest of the world gets shafted with Biowares incompetency.

I'm not paying for this *********** bug-ridden, unbalanced, unoptimised, game any more and if it keeps up I'm sure you're gonna lose a ton more subs.

  9. Scoundrel Dirty Fighting is terrible at anything but stopping people capping points.

Can't heal, can't burst, can't kill anyone. Sage bubbles stop full dots on a target, they dont' even break a sweat. Ranges on abilities are all over the shop.

1 on 1 worst class/spec in the game.

  10. I'll put my vote in for Dirty Fighting, as the better chunk of your DPS can be kept up when at range and through fight mechanics like LOSing eye lasers or hiding from lightning behind NPCs.

AOE is great for PVP too.

I've played a LOT of Dirty Fighting as a Scoundrel. These are my impressions:

    - 1 on 1, worst class/spec in the game, you can't kill anyone. This needs improvement.

    - For stopping caps, one of best in the game. I've held 5-6 people off capping points by just dotting everyone and dying, then coming back via speeder to east and west points in Aldaraan.

    - You can pull quite high overall damage numbers, but you have to be prepared to just dot everything that moves and die a lot.

Overall, Dirty Fighting will win you a lot of WZ's, but you'll get no medals and noone will realise what impact you had so you'll get no MVP's.
