I typically go for the healers and the ranged, and I'm breaking 320k+ damage in WZ :/
-
Not solved. Premade vs pug is just bad business for Bioware. If you were a real PvP'er you would want to face other premades anyway.
Typical republic QQing.

I'd really like to switch vent to my mouse but I'm not overly happy with the Naga. The numberpad isn't particularly ideal, the buttons don't function in a way that would allow them to be used for vent, and the back/forward buttons are in awkward locations. My old logitech was better, I just remapped the "back" mouse button to shift and doubled my keybinds very conveniently.
I tried using alt as a toggle for awhile, till I alt-tabbed myself out of game trying to switch targets. Now I prefer shift.
Honestly Razer products are piles of **** and I own two of them so I can say that....
The Lachsis went a year before one of the on the fly DPI buttons stopped working and I had to remap it to the thumb buttons that are meant for left handed people.
The lycosa is probably the worst keyboard you could buy for $80.. The circuit connection between the keyboard and the lackluster unresponsive media controls comes loose and causes a wide range or problems. Razer told Best Buy about this problem, but still will require you to give a DNA sample before allowing you to pay them S/H so they might or might not superglue your keyboard into "Working" order.
Oh, and good luck on getting any kind of warranty service from them.

Actually, for me--the default WoW raid frames have gotten so good (thanks to mod ideas the developers have implemented) that all I use now is Clique for healing.
Eh, they are workable but proven to be suffer from UI lag, bugs and you can't really customize them for your specific healer.
-
The EV streams I saw all seemed to have "enrage" timers. Encounters need Enrage timers or else they are too easily cheesed. You might as well bring one Tank and 15 healers. It would take forever but it would impossible to fail.
...as far as number 1. I'm 25 and I'm already near the limit of what I find acceptable as far as Keybinds and Hot Bar space. I use a Naga and all 12 buttons are bound as well as another 10 on my keyboard. I still have like 5 more abilities to learn by 50 so I don't know what you're talking about.
Some fights do not need a enrage timer because the fights themselves are so "raid awareness' intensive that the probability of perfect actions over a "forever" time span, let alone a 5min time span are very unlikely.
If you have a naga and you are having keybind problems then you have more than just keybind problems and might want to hold off on debating raid construction until you get the basic controls of your character down.

Actually, manual transmissions much better for racing.
Actually automatic clutch, push button shifting is better for racing and that's why they are used in racing such as F1.

Well I was trying to limit the example to just macros since the idea of addons give a lot of these people an aneurysm.
Honestly its just a matter of "I wanna ***** about something" syndrome.
Addons just happens to be the flavor of the day.
-
I'm nowhere near 50, have a Razr Naga (which shouldn't be required) and find this to be quite humorous. Then again I also pvp and I don't mouse click anything if I don't have to. Mounts, stim packs, pet attack/retreat, everything is keybound.
Yeah, I have a Razor Lachesis and I use one of the thumb keys for vent, and the other for may main ability.
Every other power can be reached by my left hand.
q,e, 1, 2, 3,4, x, c,v ,b, z
now add +alt to any of those and you pretty much have all your ability covered.

I am heavily against the implementation of macros and mods in this game.
Hyper mathematization in games generates less fun in the long run.
#1. "Hyper mathematization" = wut?
#2 Macro's are made up of equations that you should have learned in grade school and commands like "/use" "/cast".
If that is too hard for you than the 10key pad on your keyboard must be scary as hell.
-
Yeah, it is game breaking having a macro that allows me to randomly pick a mount, or mouse over a target to heal it rather than have to individually click a bunch of targets. Seriously, go do some research and come back with an informed opinion.
Or you just use grid and clique like a pro healer.
-
This is why ToR doesn't need addons:
#1 Even at 50 your group of USED powers wont be unmanageable with proper bindings.
#2 The raids aren't going to be based on rage timers like many fights are in WoW, requiring people to pump out as much dps as they can. Instead they will be based on AWARENESS, your ability to manage your cooldowns properly and your teams ability to target switch and focus numbers on the correct targets.
If you can't do those things without addons, you wont do them with addons.

Because it was possible to create macros that operated this way in one game means that macros in general are bad? Wow macros don't allow this to occur and wow is far more popular than any other mmo that might have allowed this.

It makes them play better, because they can just queue up a series of things to one click. Retarded playing for lazy people imo.
This^^ is the viewpoint of someone who doesn't understand macros, their limits and their downfalls.
WoW had limits on how much a macro could do for you. The macro's I used simply proc'd my on use trinkets with my class specific dps cooldown.
Still had dot timings, channel clips, orb stacks and boss mechanics to pay attention to, but yeah totally lazy
What your posts sounds like to me is causal player making statements from a casual players perspective.
-
You do less and your character does more. Sure sounds like making it easier to me. If the effort to accomplishment ratio is not fun for the players, it's something that BioWare should adjust for everyone.
Doesn't matter what it sounds like to you because you are wrong.
The only thing a macro does is remove a few extra key presses that couldn't be streamlined dynamically by the stock UI.
If you feel less accomplished from downing a boss because your you combined two cool downs into one key press then I don't know what to tell you and am confident you don't have a lot of supporters in this poorly thought out opinion.
Maybe I'm just a real bad *** at this game, but I haven't really felt the need for mods even in lvl 35 content :/.
The people I see whining about the lack of mods seem to NEED them to function.
Maybe its time to drop the crutches little Timmy.
-
They do have assist casting, with hot key function built into the UI.
Log off of forums, log into game, lrn2UI

Macro's would be nice, but not having them isn't game breaking.
Mods are pretty meh and I think many people who lack core skill use them as a crutch. Not saying using them makes you a noob, just saying that if you NEED them to play you have failed.
-
No, and no one will have them until Bioware opens up their UI a little.
-
oh please, stop *********** whining about every little thing already, who cares
Exactly..
-
They were too lazy to make anything other than different colored humans all sharing the same body types as playable characters, as well as 99% of NPC's, and you think they'd go through the trouble of making new body models for kids? LOL
Should be glad they even bothered to shrink them.
Yeah, I guess they were too busy with the 1,000+ voice actors.
Seriously, people will ***** about anything....

Hello, i'm chris hansen with dateline nbc,

Hmm, still waiting for these "hardcore" Republic pvp players to show up.
Also as empire I haven't had a que longer than MAYBE 5min, which wasn't an issue because I had plenty of other things to do.
I've found many fellow "hardcore" pvpers on Empire, which I expected.
What I've actually noticed from the Republic players is a lack of quality keybinds, a lot of keyboard turning, and the reaction time of a drunk Sloth.
I'm really hoping the Republics pvp player base improves because slaughtering you guys 3/4 of the warzones we enter wont be fun for long.

Its funny when people who have zero coding and dev experience talk deving and coding..
Seriously OP, you either just made the best joke the dev's have heard all day or 1/4 of them have just lost all faith in their own customers..
5 lines of code and an hour...BWHHHWAHHAHAH
BTW, its called remapping your A and D keys to strafe and then mouse looking while targeting your spell.
#1 Stop keyboard turning #2 stop button clicking #3 Never again say "5 lines of code and an hour" when talking about how much work it would take to implement game changes.
-
Blizzard Entertainment made two games after me because I was simply the best.
When you make comments like this, you expose your own insecurities :/.
The Dev's used our guild because we were the only 1400 person guild in the game and great leadership.
Clearly stating facts that anyone who wasn't a complete casual at warhammer remembers.

lol when 5k damage is almost 1/4 your health, its not a "no biggie!".
You clearly have never played the classes you are talking about.
