I don't understand why some people are trying to act as if it doesn't exist at all, considering that BioWare has admitted it is a real and threatening issue.
It ruins their own perception of this PERFECT game, thus they are in denial. Common issue among people.

So, wait, are you saying you actually WALK? Because there are three speeds to moving.
1. Walking.
2. Running.
3. Sprinting.
Just having Sprint turned off means you would be running. Perpetually. You'd actually have to use "/" to truly walk. So, do you walk or run?
BINGO! You just cracked the mistery of leveling to 50 in 6 months!!!!

Uh, no. The game runs on a process with elevated (admin) privileges.
In no way shape or form does simply accessing the internet require process elevation. It probably has to do with how the patcher writes files into Program Files.
I don't have my game in Program Files and it still asks for privileges. See post #2 for an explanation.

I don't want clipping like in wow. It destroys for me my "suspension of disbelief". No offense meant at all but you raid/l337/power players just have a different perspective than many of us. I get that this is somehow a competition for you, but the reason I like this game is because it is NOT like wow, where everything is about perfect balance and while there is good lore the story takes a back seat to people jumping in circles around each other until someone is dead.
I like the story, I wouldn't be here at all if it didn't look good, and have a good story. Making it "fluid" like wow would ruin it for me personally. If I wanted to play wow I would play wow (I did, and it doesn't suit me). I want to play a story focused game... To me, when it becomes focused on perfect balance and function over form it loses it's interest. It becomes all numbers... why even have a graphical interface at all? Graphics are clunky. Why not sit in chat rooms and use random number generators to see who "wins" in "PvP".....
To me, individuals with this perspective want to strip the soul out of the game.... and without the soul... well what does any of it matter?
Let me be the bearer of bad news: STORY ENDS at some point. What will you do? Stop playing? What about the rest of us who want to enjoy raiding and pvp, and be here for a log time?
That's a rather selfish attitude.

Played all aspects of WoW (PvP and raiding) obsessively for over 4 years and SWTOR "feels" exactly the same to me in terms of ability responsiveness. Not sure what to tell ya. Maybe it's your rig cuz it "feels" great to me. No problems on my end.
May I suggest you switch the color to a shade of brown? It would suit better your personality and post contents. Thank you.

Incorrect, that's for DENSITY/QUALITY of grass and trees, not draw distance.

So by saying now isn't the time to work on it you're saying since they didn't fix it early on they should just ignore it now? Either that or get a time machine and go back to beta testing and fix it?

Whatever they will come up with until January 20th will be something patchy and not very good. And we know how most temporary solutions become permanent.

I wish everyone watching this thread good luck with a resolution, whatever that may be, I personally can't put up with this crap anymore. I'll just park my character somewhere and check back in a month or two. Meanwhile I'm passing my account to my wife so she can try it and see why I rage when doing warzones, sometimes.

Why isnt this implented yet? I know there is a thread somewhere but without search function on the forum its hard to find. If you want ANY serious PvE guilds to take this game seriously this MUST be added in the near future. There is no real negatives other than that the slackers may be told off or kicked from the guild. How are you supposed to know why you didnt manage to kill a boss if you got no stats to go give you an indication of why you failed? and how will the unexperienced ever get better if they have no idea what they are doing wrong? it makes no sense to me.
Devs are busy making babies, they need more names added to the credits.
Why I'm subscribing for a 6 month subscription.
