  1. This happened to me before. I just waited another 30 minutes and got back on it and it was fine.... although during those 2 hours waiting for the balloon and being on it... i was able to

    1. Cook Dinner

    2. Do Laundry

    3. Take a Shower

    4. Read 20 pages of a book

    5. Brush my teeth

    6. Have a conversation with my mother.

    It was definitely long

  2. You haven't played WOW For 6 years? That means you a quitter.

1.2 won't help you either... it's personality... if you only played WOW for 1 - 1.5 years then it's not in your nature to play MMOs. Some of us just have the personality to play MMOs.

Your style may be more fast pace... try console games... should be more enjoyable for you.

What is there left to do other than play alts or level up on the opposite side of the force of your main.

1.2 isn't going to turn nothing into something either.

I'm at a loss and after 6 years of avoiding WoW, i might just pick it up... thanks to swtor!

  3. I'm in a guild, but none of us talk to each other and we are all Social Rank 1 since we all solo and don't group with anyone....

    Casual at its best

Our guild Matchless will be fully functional and ready for rated warzones come patch 1.2

This is another thread to get a headcount on how many guilds are getting pumped for participation in such epic action.

Can check my stream link down below to check up on our progress.

  4. There is no time to think about who to vote for...

I generally vote for the A-Hole or best DPSers or most impressionable healer or someone i know from random pvping..

Hard to have time to think or remember who made the game a win unless it's absolutely clear.

  5. WHAT????????????????????

YOU GOT 2 BM COMMENDATIONS OUT OF 6 BM BAGS AND YOUR COMPLAINING????

    WHAT????????????????? ARE YOU SERIOUS???????

Try opening 55 Battlemaster Bags and getting 1 BM commendation before you complain

6 BM bags 2 commendations errrr you make me mad......

I grind my way to battlemaster...

I have full Champion gear like ANYONE should have grinding threw 60 valor ranks....

Hold onto my dailies and weeklies for when I roll that last rank...

What do my eyes behold... CHAMPION COMMENDATIONS!?!?!

WHY THE HELL DO I WANT MORE OF THOSE!?

Out of 6 BM boxes I got 2 BM coms, and a bunch of champ coms I dont even need.

    Where is the logic?

Bioware, Why do BM boxes contain CHAMP coms?

I get champ coms from Valor rank 1, you can get Champ Gear at Valor rank 1, 60 Ranks later and people still need CHAMP GEAR?!....

    Please... Bioware... the logic?

  6. 3 is fine.

So you telling me your able to get 3 Warzone Wins before you log everyday? Because I'm not able to ...

But I guess your republic so i can't relate. I generally put in 2 hours per day doing the daily pvp.

Is this some kind of a joke? Even as a Republic player on a heavily Empire populated server I could knock out the Ilum pvp daily through all the lag and frame rate issues in 30-45 minutes during prime time. Now we only get 3 kills toward the 30 we need for the daily whether we win a WZ or not. If I do 3 WZs in an hour that will still take me over 3 hours to complete.

The problem is, at least on my server, no one goes to Ilum now that it isn't absolutely necessary, so I don't have to option to even go to Ilum anymore for the daily. I rarely need more than 4-5 WZ matches to complete my WZ daily. Why is BW forcing me to spend so much time grinding WZs just for a daily quest?

At the very least give us 10 kills for a win and 3 for a loss. That way people can complete the quest faster and be rewarded for a victory, while still making progress for a loss. This would put both the WZ and Ilum daily on similar footing in terms of time needed to complete.

  7. PVP has been awesome... I am back hardcoring PVP

Getting Ilum daily and weekly done was a pain. It use to take me 2 or 3 weeks to finish. Sure I am Empire but can you imagine 30 people fighting for 6 armaments?

Trade Off was the only way to get anything done but with the changes to /stuck it became more difficult and has disinterested most players from doing it because we are all fat and lazy people.

PVP has been awesome.... did i say that already? lol

  8. Same here... the PVP on our server is much better now.

Pre 1.1.5 ... many players would give up in pvp.

I guess the triple valor plus double rewards and the fact that you get credit for battle of ilum daily / weekly has revived Warzone PVP.

    It's been a stunning success.

  9. That was before the Champion Commendations Patch a while back.

    Now it's more like 1%.

You get your gear through commendations which is very easy. Couple weeks of PVP, you should be decked out. Well maybe a month before you are decked out in Champion Gear.

Start with Centurion gear first. Don't think Champion is you just hit 50... it took us a while just to get 1 piece of Champion gear a while back.

  10. It's funny how many people quit and went back to WOW. I ask them why you playing WOW again they said I hate WOW but no choice because friends moved back and if i don't they kick my arse at work.

Time to create a toon on a populated server but it kinda sucks without credits errrr....

This game is so stupidly fun to me, but I've lost almost everyone on my server, and I've already got 2 50s set up cause I wasn't expecting my server to you know, die.

As is, I have no one to PvP with, no one to PvE with, I don't even have people to chat with.

The biggest guild on my server cleared content and called it quits. /tear

I wish this game wasn't rushed out by EA, 1.2 would've cemented your player base. :(

I'm not going to be logging on anymore, but I won't be cancelling my sub, its only 15$ and really Bioware, you deserve the money.

I just wish more people could see that. :(

  11. Has Warhammer Online gone to F2P yet? Arguably one of the worst launched MMO of our generation behind only Asheron's Call 2.

Has it gone F2P yet? If not then why would TOR ever go F2P... one of the most successful launches in gaming history (think subscriberships not bugs or people who are or going to quit)

I'm asking a serious question because i don't know. I would like to play Warhammer Online again... heard is was good now but don't want to pay $16 a month

Since I am still paying for my 7 WOW accounts plus 1 SWTOR account.

  12. I just want to double quote "

My concern is for the lvl 50 bracket, where you see how ppl who is a casual pvp player who only wants to have fun gets annihilated by the hardcore players who have all the battlemaster gear with +600 expertise rating. Lets be honest, this is not fun and its very frustrating."

It only take one week of casual PVP nowadays to hit 600 Expertise just FYI. As far as all hardcore players having Battlemaster gear is not true because there are unlucky hardcore players and Battlemaster gear is only marginally better than Champion Gear. WHEN I SAY CASUAL, I MEAN FINISH YOUR DAILY PLUS WEEKLY AND THAT'S IT. LOG ON LOG OFF. IF YOUR MORE CASUAL THAN THAT, I WOULD NOT COMPLAIN LOL.

I am a big fan of warzone pvp. I love the fact that i can queue my self while i keep questing with my friends, and most of the time, below lvl 50, is a lot of fun, cause despite the difference in lvl (ranges from lvl 10 to 49), teams are balanced and everyone can kill everyone.

My concern is for the lvl 50 bracket, where you see how ppl who is a casual pvp player who only wants to have fun gets annihilated by the hardcore players who have all the battlemaster gear with +600 expertise rating. Lets be honest, this is not fun and its very frustrating.

Right now if you hit lvl 50 and are a casual warzone pvp player, you better say goodbye to having fun at the matches, cause you will hit a huge wall called pvp gear, and if you don't have it, then you will suck at the match.

The difference of gear between a pve geared player and pvp geared player is abysmal, to the point that you will not kill anything on a 1 on 1 fight, not to mention that if the other side has a couple of troopers or consulars, or bounty hunters, inquisitors or agents, and they target you simultaneously you will die in a couple of seconds, and this is no fun at all.

PVP at lvl 50 should not be intended only for the hardcore players, who have all the gear and spend all day playing pvp matches.

There's a huge part of the community that is a causal pvp player, who likes to get into some player vs player action from time to time, but not enough to grind all the centurion, champion or battlemaster gear, so they will always be at a disadvantage against the haardcore players.

And the sad part is that once you hit lvl 50 you are screwed, you don't get to choose if you want or not to fight against the hardcore group of pvp players. The only option you have is to create a new alt and pvp with it, and let me tell ya that this can not be the option casual pvp players must take in other to keep doing warzones with our pve gear.

Something must be done about this, cause everyone though that separating the lvl 50's players was the best option for the lower lvls to be able to have fun in warzone matches, but the thing is that you need to separate those who are using the pvp gear from those who doesn't.

PVP between lvls 10 to 50 that don't have pvp gear is the same as lvls 1 to 49. Its not the lvl that makes the difference, its the gear.

I have nothing against hardcore pvp players, and i am happy for them because they will get the ranked system, and with it a lot of new challenges, but i am worried for those casual players that have no interest in getting the pvp gear, but they still want to enjoy some pvp action from time to time, and not feel completely useless against other players who have pvp gear with expertise rating.

Right now i had to create an alt to do pvp, because i just get to frustrated with my lvl 50 jedi guardian in the lvl 50 bracket, its no fun at all cause i cant kill anything and i can't protect anyone either, i am just to squishy against fully geared pvp sorcerer or bounty hunter (i have all lvl 50 purple gear, with rakata and columni stuff). I don't have the pvp gear, but not because i could not afford it, i have enough champion and centurion commendations, but i am pve player that does a lot of Flash Points and quests, etc. and i don't feel like having to use 15 inventory slots with the pvp gear just in case i decide to queue for a warzone.

This is something that must be addressed, or the pvp community will lose a lot of casual players.

  13. That's odd... i've done 30+ warzones and no one has done this.

Maybe your server just have terrible people?

The PVP has been amazingly competitive after patch.

So at this exact moment im in the 5th warzone today ( out of 5 ) that ppl get 4 medals and just stop playing the wz. If its huttball some ppl even help the other team to score. If you complain on ops chat you are either flamed or ignored. Why the hell would they do such a stupid thing before adding ranked wz ?? At this rate the game will be dead even before they managed to implement that, 3 of my premade buddies quit the game already . It is sad to see a game with such potential dieing.
  14. I always felt Macro's was a crutch and made things that were tedious into easy mode.

Once again "Entitlement" comes to play.

Skilled players don't need Macro's ... those who use Macro's aren't as skilled as the old schoolers who didn't use Macro's.

It's like all those kool kids who Speed Hack.... always trying to get a leg up.

I never even used custom ui in WOW and was able to beat all the content... I'm sorry but there won't be Macro's in this game as Bioware has stated.

  15. One thing i don't like about the OP's comment is his Thread title Guild Summit being a failure.

This is kinda selfish considering your only looking into your own selfish need.

    Calling it a guided PR?

Right Bioware is teaching all the guild leaders what to say during that 4 hour break.

There was a lot of positives in this summit. It was very informative.

Yet you call it a failure? Why not become a Guild Leader and register for the summit and tell them how you really feel then?

Don't stand back here calling it a failure when you are only viewing it from one perspective...

  16. Valor will be used as a prestige, kinda like the number of years you been working.. you get senority.

So when someone see's WOW your a War Hero or a Warlord, you know that person either spent a lot of time PVP on that toon and makes you wonder if they got any sunlight at all.

In 1.2 (I think) the daily and weekly in Illum are being removed (and I believe kill valor as well). They have found that:

    1) These are the largest source of frustration for many.

    2) The greatest source of PvP exploits

They have stated it will still be open for PVP and they plan or rethinking open world PvP and releasing something in the future.

  17. And people say this game is too hardcore... lol

I told you SWTOR is casual... understand it is casual... why everyone calls this game too hardcore is beyond me.... every week i see some post saying this game is too hardcore and not casual enough.

  18. You are absolutely correct. Bioware is one of the best in the business with PR.

Customer Service is another story, but good thing i've never called Customer Service in my 15+ years of MMOing.

any of you that think that a company is doing you a favor by having you refer new customers to them, must have slept through business 101.

its a business move, and timed perfectly. if you have a friend on the fence, but you have been bugging them to play, well the added allure of 1.2 combined with a free trial will net them _____ new customers.

if not for the timing, they would have to look at other ways to get you off your butt to work your friends into playing. so if it were not such a close proximity to launch, and 1.2 was not hitting soon to grab up those who have been interested but have not bitten, they would need to offer you a free space pony or something.

never forget, we are customers of BW/EA. we pay them $ to make and update this game. in business, satisfied customers and word of mouth = $$$$$$$
