  1. I still play with an ordinary keyboard and a 2 keys logitech mouzse with a clickable wheel in the middle.

I just won't spend 200 Euros for a high-end gaming mouse like the ones you mentioned. Even 30 Euros is far too much for me, because I'm a casual gamer and not a Pro.

What should I do with such an expensive gaming mouse with my favourite hobby, writing short stories ?

    I just don't know.

    The G600 is : 80$ (CAD)

    The G13 is : 60$ (CAD)

    http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16823126050

If you play MMO it's a really good investment. IMO

  2. I use a Razer mouse, so I leave my first hotbar at default (1 through =) and then my second bar is Shift + the same thing since all of them are easily reachable with my mouse hand. Shift + are for less "oh crap" skills generally, which for me is longer cast damage skills since I focus on healing first.

For me, as a healer (you didn't say what you specced as) the most important skills are:

    Force Armor

    Healing Trance

    Rejuvinate

    Deliverance

<insert Salvation when I am high enough level to get it>

Restoration (you can cleanse a lot of nasty DoTs and even some CCs)

    Mind Snap

Noble Sacrifice (but obviously, not if you yourself are under heavy fire)

    Force Wave

Force Slow (instant and helps you kite)

I also keep these skills in a small separate bar right above my main bar, since these are cooldowns I really want to keep track of. These are essential to PvPing imo, regardless of spec. I list my keybinds for them, but figure out what works for you. I definitely WOULD recommend keybinding them, though.

Z -- Force of Will (CC break ... also spec Egress if you are in heal tree)

    C -- Force Stun

V -- Force Lift (not used under heavy fire, but useful sometimes)

T -- Mental Alacrity (cast faster and can't be interrupted)

Y -- Force Potency (I usually use with Mental Alacrity if I'm healing someone under heavy fire)

R -- Force Mend (great to heal while kiting)

G -- Force Speed (especially with Egress, fantastic kiting tool)

Shft + C and Shift + V -- Warzone medpack and adrenal (not applicable in open-world PvP)

Shift + T -- Clicky relic (as a backup "oh crap" if Mental Alacrity is on cooldown)

Shift + Y -- triage adrenal (another oh crap tool)

    Shift + R -- reusable medpack

... and I will probably swap medpack to the immunity bubble once I get it, and figure out somewhere else to put medpack.

If you are being focused by two people, run around like a little girl rather than try to do damage with anything but instant casts. Focus on surviving while your friend whittles one of them down. Then you can both pounce on the one that's left. I'd advice practicing in warzones ... with bolster, you won't be at a gear disadvantage like in open-world PvP.

Kinda long winded, but I hope helpful. I still have a lot to learn myself. :)

EDIT: OH! As for targeting. F1 always targets yourself. I use that and F2-4 to target teammates. On your screen in a group of four, it goes like this:

    F4

    F3

    F2

    (F1 yourself, not shown)

That way in a group of 2, no clicking required to retarget teammates.

    Or go with a G13 and a G600.

    Or

    Nostromo and Razer Naga.

With this setup you won't click anymore.

  3. 2 OP Healer, 1 Jugg tank and 1 Assasin tank.

They can't die and they can't kill. They win their game once the other team is bored and leave. GG

Wait that remind me some 2 vs 2 arena scenario in WoW ...

  4. I understand your problem OP. There is few reasons why you get instant kill and few tips you should use in Open PVP situation.

Please take a look at this I'll show how to survive easily and even troll dance when it's needed.

    1) You don't had PvP Gear. The expertise is much more important since 2.0 than ever. They boost it and guys in PvE gear in Open PvP are getting rape without lubricant.

    2) You need something to kite and LOS. A tree, a rock, a tent or anything but you can't fight in the desert wide open. Especially against Mara.

    3) I suggest you to buy Field respec so you can adapt your tree more PvP wise in theses situations. I can respec in 30 sec with all the skill in place between round in voidstar from DPS to healer, so you can do it in the spaceport in a minute.

    4) When you go out like this, try to have few Seismic Grenade. It's an AOE Stun that can save your life. I usually use after I get my Force Barrier. Check on the GTN and buy a stack of 10 at least.

    5) Use your PvE adrenals and Heroic moment if you get companion.

    6) Try to attack first. Get one of them CC. Ask you Sentinel to charge them and fear. If one of them break try to force lift this one so he get 8 sec out of combat.

    7) Watch my video and subscribe if you like it :p

  5. Thanks.

That's the build I've been using so far. I've messed with both a little bit now and I like the alacrity more than the heal on knockback. Reduced global cooldown and casting by like half a second or a weak heal on a spell you use more as you said utility. The 1% self heal on bubble only seems to help with health rotting from life tap. The other talents seem to make more sense and I'm guessing you would either lose stronger shields or faster healing trances and both help you and your teammates, while the self heal only really helps you.

1% self heal with bubble while doing consumption could be usefull.

    I will try it.

  6. One MILLION damage. 6 kills. SIX! Did I read that right?

And people say that healing isn't completely out of control in this game.

How is that possible? Did you focus down their healers at all, or just run in circles smash derping like a really bad player?

Well there is some games when the other team have 4 healer and 1-2 tank and people are really tough to kill.

Healing isn't out of control, but the matchmaking of 4 healer in 1 game is a part of it. That's why respec infield is usefull.

  7. Played a game yesterday where I broke my previous record of DPS (1702) with a new personal best of 1976. I Was curious if anyone had any impressive screenshots that they would like to share. http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=2i8ev5v&s=5

Well done I did 1842 DPS 2 days ago, my record on my recent Mara.

But theses games are always special and occur under certain specific condition.

  8. MM required a really good assist target, which is suppose to be the case in ranked, but it's not always in reality ... MM most attack are ranged and tank doesn't really get hurt from a MM if he manage his def cooldown.

Lethality will give you top dps most of the time, but that doesn't mean your dps was effective. Spreding DOT and sometimes pop a cull and a finisher don't have the same burst on call like the MM. Lethality need to ''Prepare'' his target with dot and debuff. On the other side MM can switch really quick and burst on call.

Engineering have really good utility and are more objective based. They have good AOE to maintain a door or a node ''uncappable''. If they are in a good team fight like alderaan mid, they can manage to do big DPS with their AOE. I already saw an engineering sniper guarding a node in alderaan (The ranked team didnt have an assasin) and he was able to keep the grass for long while the back up arrive with his fire trap and def cooldown.

All spec are good for ranked, but the team composition and your role will decide which one is better for the situtation.

  9. Can you post videos of beating up "good" smash marauders as a madness sorc please. I don't have any issue with smash jugs but good smash marauders eat me alive. Their lame perma slow is just too much.

It's been a while I didn't play Madness. The main problem of Madness spec is force management. DOT are expensive and the burst of Madness isn't like the full lightning. Recently there is a lot of tanks and healers, so we have very long fight, but I would give a try.

  10. Enjoyed the video and music a lot.

Not a fan of the s-keying (eventhough it isn't that big of a deal), but everything else was great.

Just hit 55 on my sage. What is your healing spec? Do you pick up the alacrity talent in the first tier or the heal on knockback? Do you get the 1% self heal every second when you're shielded and if so what do you drop for it?

This is my sage healer spec :

    http://www.swtor-spy.com/skill-tree-calculator/sorcerer/12/?build=230012212122120201020230131001000023000200000000000000000000000000020000000000000000000000000000&ver=20

    1) I don't take the self heal 1% every second with bubble because your static barrier never stand for long in fight and I often break force barrier.

    2) I didn't take the healing knockback because I don't use it has a healing spell, but more has a utility.

    3) Yes I take the alacrity buff in the tree, but I don't use a lot of alacrity in my gear.

I agree with you, S keying isn't the best, but I'm playing on G13 with a joystick and you get more tempted to s key sometimes :p. There is time that is ''ok'' to s key, but there is time that you shouldn't like kitting.

    Thanks for watching.

  11. This is a common issue that we are aware from a long time. I agree with you the bolster is a real piece of junk atm, but the PvP gameplay is so nice that it make me forget it sometimes.

The best thing we can do is to adapt to the situation and getting your conqueror weapon ready, earing and implant when the fix patch will arrive.

  12. Healing debuff is fine.

Most of the times good healers get bigger healing on scoreboard than the top dps.

If you remove the healing debuff people will be godly with a healer.

I play a Sorc/Sage healer, one of the squishest class in this game and I manage to survive with CC and positioning.

  13. couldn't watch your vid cuz of the music. cant hear you talking unless its at full volume and the music is unimaginably awful never heard anything like it. lol Turned off in first min. too bad looked interesting.

You can mute it, but it seems it's too hard for you to do such a thing.
