  1. Hey folks,

We have seen quite a few reports of players who have lost their Legendary Status following Game Update 4.2 on Tuesday. First, a reminder of what Legendary Status is. This system was put in with Knights of the Fallen Empire as a reward for players who had completed all 8 Class Stories all the way through Act 3. We wanted to make sure that their efforts were rewarded, beyond just Achievements alone.

Along with the KotFE launch, we also introduced Start at 60 tokens. Unfortunately, there was a bug where sometimes a character made from a token would grant a completion for Legendary Status. This was not intended as that character never played through and completed Act 3. With Game Update 4.2, we corrected that bug and along with it, removed any unintended progress from Legendary Status. At this time there are a few specific issues that have been raised:

I have a <insert class> that has completed their Class Story but do not have Legendary Status Credit

    • First, please ensure that you have completed that Class story all the way through completion of Act 3, post-Corellia.
    • If you have, log into that Character. We have seen reports that simply logging into that Character will re-grant Legendary Status Credit.
    • Again, Start at 60 Characters will not grant you this credit.

I completed my Class Story with <insert class> but have since deleted that Character

    • Please contact CS.

    Thanks!

I've got a Bounty Hunter that I've completed the story for all the way through to after Shadow of Revan, Rise of the Hutt Cartel and even to Knights of the Fallen Empire: Chapter XII and I still don't have Legendary Player status. FIX THIS!
  2. I hope I'm not being redundant as this problematic bug has been talked about since 2012 which I learned about by Google searching. It seems the bug that doesn't let the third chapter of the bounty hunter complete for achivement (spelling error...I don't care) is still not fixed. When I ever I start the game, it has the interlude screen as it loads the game. Obviously the game says I completed it, but I didn't get the achivement for it. I want that Bounty Hunter sign for my strongholds!
  3. Did you guys meet the requirements for finishing the H2 mission itself? If you did, that's why - as always, if you finish a bonus stage's main mission (e.g. you blow all the towers that Travi Pott asks (OK, used to ask) you to destroy before you finish killing 10 savrips for the bonus), you lose the bonus. This was always the case for any mission with a bonus stage, heroic or not.

What's changed with 4.0 is that when you finish the objectives of an H2 (e.g. you blow the towers), they aren't replaced with a final objective to return to the quest giver ("Return to Sgt Pott"). Instead, they complete immediately, and if the bonus is still open, it is wiped out.

Dang! I forgot about this. I only remember what to do next for the bonus missions because I've done them so many times. I was concerned about new players being confused.
  4. I've noticed several times that when doing Bonus Quests for Heroic Missions that it will inform you of the different stage completion requirements except for the final stage. For example, on Alderaan when you are supposed to defeat several Lanar Soldiers and Smugglers you can start a bonus quest that involves destroying farming equipment then destroying storage containers. After destroying the containers, the game should tell you to destroy a silo (the final stage of the bonus quests), which it doesn't. I know that this is the final stage of this bonus quest because I've done it many times before the last update. Anyone else experiencing this bug?
  5. I had luck by:

    Closing launcher

    Deleting Bitraider folder.

Deleting Bitraider folder from Recycle Bin.

    Open launcer, update, login.

    Now in game.

Just had to make sure to delete the Bitraider from the recycle bin BEFORE opening the launcher again.

Took just a couple minutes to update.

Is their team really some evil Trekkie having his fun tormenting SW fans?

I tried that and it didn't work. Thanks for the suggestion though.
  6. All you 'muricans just say buhhuh get over it europeans dont cry or something like that.

you are racist, nothing else. Change yourself you make me sick.

Do you know the definition of racism? How is telling someone of a different nationality not to complain being racist?
  7. While the person you quoted is certainly not the most graceful of people - and by means a wordsmith of any sort - stating that the world "hates" Americans is a bit of a stretch. In fact, it's only 15-25 year olds who spend way too much time on the Internet who hate Americans. Ironically enough, it's the 15-25 year old Americans on the Internet who facilitate this hatred.

I guess what we've learned is that people 15-25 are ******es, and you, he, me, and most other people here are no better.

    I'm over 25! Yea!
  8. I have a suggestion. If EU players want patches uploaded during more convenient times for them, they should pay the overtime wages for the employees who have to stay at work till 3 a.m. to accommodate them. They can also write letters to the employees' families and friends explaining why their gaming time is more important than the time those employees would have spent at home with loved ones.

I'm sorry that you are inconvenienced by the fact that the Earth is round and has time zones. That issue is not, however, BioWare's fault.

I would hit the like button if there was one for this comment.
  9. Why do you apologize for taking the servers down, yet always do maintenance during European prime time. It is obvious your not sorry and you don't care about disruption to European players access to the servers.

You don't care and Europe is not as important market as the US. Just be honest. Or if you do value European players then show it don't apologize and then do the exact same thing a few days later. Cause at the moment it is clear your apologize are just something you tack on the end of most sentences without any real relevance. You may as well say your a Smurf for all the importance we should attach to any apology.

You do know that when they do something like this that ALL servers go down, not just the European servers? The whole SWTOR community suffers when they have to update with a patch.
  10. No I would prefer it if they waited until tomorrow to patch, people in the EU already "lost" time once already this week and Bioware are gambling on a trouble free update otherwise EU players will loose more time to what they already have this week.

I am sure there is nothing so urgent this cannot be done tomorrow.

It's only an hour and a half. It's not as if they're taking a year of your life away. Chill.
  11. Yup, I've run into the same problem too. Both of the Life Day themed speeders and the Life Orb are shown in my collection and I was able to unlock them all for all of my characters, but not the Life Day Robes from the Life Day vendor. They DON'T show up as collected in my collection and I can't unlock them for my other characters. The timer for refunding them has ran out and they are bound to my character. It doesn't make any sense. Please fix this.
  12. I'm not sure if this is a bug or not, but I've noticed some weird shadowing on npcs within the game. I have two examples here. You can clearly see them on the right side on this npc's face. The shadows seem too dark and too bold to me. I do remember that these shadows weren't present like this about two weeks ago. Does it have something to do with SWTOR or is it my graphic settings? Thanks in advance for any help.

  13. You can't craft Light Side/Dark Side restricted armor, but you can craft Armor with class restrictions on them. Companions can not wear armor that requires a certain class to be worn. This has been complained about to BioWare pretty much since launch and they haven't done anything about it. Higher level crafted armor, and Cartel Market armor, are all alternative you can look at.

    Good Luck.

It was Dark Acolyte armor which is restricted to the Dark Side. Thanks for the into though.
  14. She can't wear it because it requires a Sith Warrior or Sith Inquisitor, and she isn't one of those. Gear requiring a specific class to use is only usable by PCs of that class, not their companions.

As an Agent who would have liked to have Lokin or Temple use some of my Agent outfits, I feel your pain.

Well, that is lame. Thanks for the answer though
  15. YOU must be dark side in order to allow your companions to wear Dark Side armor.

Jaesa being Light or Dark is simply a story thing, companions themselves do not actually have a LS/DS meter, only you the player do. All your companions share whatever your current level of Light or Dark is

    Hope that helps

I'm maxed out for the Dark Side alignment and it's the Dark Acolyte Armor set. It still won't let me equip her with the set.
