    Voidstar.. we was wondering why we had no chance.. 12 imps are alot.

     

    Seriously BW.. i want to PvP sometimes, but everytime i am trying it, i get this BS.

    It just burns me out. I like pvping, but I feel like im just grinding 5 hours a night just to get my dailies done. I feel bad for the guys with kids/families who only have a hour or two to play a night. Their daily quests turn in to weeklies, and weeklies turn in to "nevers".

  2. It's bad enough the republic on my server loses 75% of the matches in the 50's bracket; but to make matters worse 1/3 of my wins actually go towards my daily quest. When the **** is this going to be fixed? It's existed SINCE BETA.

     

     

    This has actually led me to other things. Since i'm already a battlemaster and have no other gear to go for, I don't think we are going to win within the first 2-3 minutes, i just leave and queue for another warzone. When i do finally get in to a winning warzone, i pretty much just AFK. Say what you will, but this is what most people do. MOST people do not want to spend 5 hours a night just to get their three wins.

     

    Just sayin.

  3. So, after spending the last week going 1 in 12 for battlemaster tokens, i realized I don't want to spend the next 6 months trying to complete my battlemaster set. So, last Friday, I cancelled my sub. I'm not doing this post to rage, or *****, etc., etc. I'm just curious as to if anyone else has quit yet.

     

    While the balttmeaster loot randomness was pretty much was the nail in the coffin for me, the top three issues (in order of importance) that led to me cancel:

     

    1-PVP - This includes the above mentioned loot system, but also entails how awful Ilum is, how there really is no "world" pvp, fairly unbalanced classes, and how segregated both factions really are (ie: no ganking in capitols ships).

     

    2-Bugs/Lack of urgency - There were many bugs I could deal with, as with any game launch, that's expected. The biggest bit about this was the lack of urgency/care to many of these. For example, my server bugged out to the point no one could do PVP dailies for a day or two. Despite countless tickets and people reporting the issue, nothing was done. They simply waited until server maintenance (in which the server was rebooted inevitably). While for many this may not seem like a big deal, this pvp daily is a huge part of my day everyday in SWs. Missing out on a day of gear that you only have so many chances to get is kind of important. That's just a specific example, there still are big bugs (like UI freezing) that existed since beta that still aren't fixed.

     

    3-Lack of UI customization / Combat Log - I eventually got used to my chat log being glued to the top left, but I still click on the damn thing ALL. THE. TIME. No macros, no combat log, the essentials of ALL mmos, really made me hate the the setup as well.

     

    Anyone else?

  4. I don't know about you, but I don't have any more issues with not getting pvp daily/weekly wz's to count. I noticed that if I leave the queue box checked after a round, I don't get credit for the next round I win. So, I just uncheck the box, queue manually, and have received credit for every wz win over the last 3 days.

     

    Yep, i found that out the other night as well. Worked for me. good temporary solution

  5. I hate to say it... but for ease- you can just keep queueing and you'll eventually get your BM bags- or, farm armaments/pvp in Ilum if it actually happens.

     

    HM/Ops are more challenging than pvp queuing.

     

    On the other hand- if they did add ranked pvp for gear... that'd just make matters worse- with those who aren't geared simply never being able to get gear at all.

     

     

    That said, it isn't a great system- they should have had BM bags give BM commendations- make the items cost alot, and have a chance at getting champ gear- and have Champ bags drops champ comm, same deal- and have a chance at dropping centurian gear.

     

    Then have centurian gear buyable AT 50 (as in, you can't buy it at lower levels and just prefarm a full set) for large chunks of WZ comm... and have the blue expertise set back in the game as the set you could buy pre50.

     

     

    Why did they remove that blue set? I don't get it.

    Do you mean do 400 warzones to get your daily done? Because you can't get bm's out side the daily / weekly questsion. you can't buy them for commendations.

  6. Games been out a month and I don't have Best In Slot everything yet... *** BIOFAIL GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER!!!11!1!

     

    Kids today... don't know what real grinding is.

     

    Go fight over the drop off a raid mob thats on a 6-7 day respawn. BTW its open world, and theres only 1 or 2 of these mobs for the entire server.

     

    Games been out for a month and a half, and i'm sorry but not everyone plays at a SNAILS pace as i'm assuming you do. Call it sad or whatever the hell you want, but i have 17 days played on my character, as i'm sure may other in this thread do as well.

     

    The point is, you should be able to spend the time how you want it...just because someone doesn't causally play only 1-2 hours a night like other people, doesn't mean they should get awarded the same way.

     

    Do i think i should get my guy entirely decked out in 3 days? No. But if i'm logged in for 60 hours of though i should be able to get more than the guy who's logged in for 6. Goals should be in place for all play types -- both of these players will get the "loot", just one will get it alot faster because they are putting in the time as soon as possible.

  7. As a valor 67 pre-1.1 battlemaster I've opened 42 BM bags and have 2 pieces of BM gear (belt and gloves) to show for it, and they were from before the patch. Post patch I've gotten 18 bags in a row now without BM commendations.

     

    Incidentally I also have 2 pieces of rakkata gear, including the mh, from one hard mode operation run that took less than 2 hours on the first try.

     

    This compounds with my unfortunate choice of a bottom tier pvp class, the sniper/gunslinger. It's gotten more frustrating by the day and I'm at the point where I've stopped playing.

     

    And my point is proven. Thank god im not the only person who feel slike this.

    Wasn't he the guy who ruined DoAC pvp too?

     

    And i dont mind "working" for my gear, but I want to play a game, that im rewarded for how much time i put in, and can earn more gear/items the more time i put in the game. Random bag chance? Fine. But give me some option where i can grind it out by putting in more hours; don't make me play an entire week and literally have NOTHING to show for it.

  9. Whoever this so called "pvp" guy is at Bioware, has no idea how to do his job.

     

    Rationally, here's what it boils down to.

     

    Pre-Ilum patch battlemasters, have 2+ sets of FULL champion gear sets (i personally have 8+ of somet items like earrings). Getting boxes with nothing but champion tokens, to which i have absolutely zero use for, is just moronic. I literally log in every day, do my two dailies, then log off -- mind you however, as a repulbic player where my server loses 75-80% of the time, coupled with the god awful bug where wins dont count for daily / weeklies, this takes a few hours.

     

    Why can't we have some sort of conversion rate? 50 champions = 1 token? SOMETHING!?!

  10. So, it's bad enough republic on my server lose 75% of level 50 warzones, but having to sit through an extra 5+ games a night to get my effing daily done is just ridiculous. What is so *********** complicated to get this logic correct?!?

     

    Anyway, does anyone have any tricks in getting this to work without bugging out? Leave battleground asap? Not do something x seconds before game ends?

  11. 1) Both sides were more or less evenly represented

     

    2) Republic chose to stay in the base and used the turrets to help farm the Imps (which was fine)

     

    3) Imps farmed from outside the base

     

    4) Individuals on both sides died a bunch

     

    5) No one was spawn camped

     

    6) People could come and go more or less as they pleased

     

    7) A good time and moderate valor gains was had by all

     

    8) Frame rates were abysmal

     

    9) Due to class mechanics certain classes enjoyed the experience more than others (both sides)

     

    10) It was a heck of a lot more fun than trading objectives for the daily

     

    Being part of that republic last night, i'll elaborate.

     

    We had 2 instances total, each having 50-75 at PEAK times 5-8 central, but other than that it was moslty 50-80 in instance one of ilum. I'm fairly certain we still were vastly outnumbered, looking down the pathways of our base and seeing nothing but what looked to be hundreds of sith.

     

    Also, sith DID push us in to our base at one point at about 11 - 11:30 at night for about 20 minutes or so, but the turrets eventually killed everyone.

     

    Either way, spent about 5-6 hours there and got 45-50k ish valor dropping heal bombs on my ops group.

  12. I can live with the other crap, but pvp is a HUGE aspect for me. I've spent a TON of time working my way up to battlemaster (currently close to 57) and if what i'm hearing is true about players getting 1k valor every 5 minutes, err empire players getting 1k valor every 5 minutes it is completely unacceptable. What gets me is that they KNEW that EVERY SINGLE server has AT LEAST a 2:1 Emp to Rep ratio, yet they couldn't forshadow this happening? What is the point of testing if they aren't going to do any of it?

     

    I know for many this will sound like a empty claim, or I'm just QQing, but I will be canceling my sub tonight if this isn't fixed within the next 12 hours or so.

     

    Anyone else feel the same?

    Honestly i wished that F2 and F3 also worked like that it would make small group healing so much easyer.

     

    I know it cycles. The f1 thing works great in a full group, since you don't have a companion; but for soloing / solo world pvp it is a giant PAIN IN THE *** to deal with. In fact, it leads me to lose some pvp battles because i end up sheilding / healing my *********** companion instead of myself.
