  1. one thing that may have worked to help prevent the faction imbalance a bit could of been like how aion handled it, when one side reached a certain amount of players or whatever it would disallow people to create a character on that faction, i can see that way could make some people mad cuz they may get stuck for a bit not being able to play the faction of their choice, but it would balance population better, just my 2 cents

It seems some orange armor does have base armor, I was sick of not having a hooded robe and not being able to find one, so I thought I'll just take the mods out of my current one and put then in a hooded robe I got in my 20's, however when I changed them over the armor had less armor than the one I took the mods out of by quite a bit

Yeah this has really bugged me as well, tumult is not usable currently in pvp or on elite mobs, which is stupid to at least not work in pvp, I use it alot in pvp after force stun, spinning kick and when project stuns, also it does or at least it did work on mind maze before, maybe got changed...
  4. you wanna take the gear that has more endurance than willpower and gear that has +defense/absorb/shield rating/etc, but all this gear will have a decent amount of willpower as well, usually like on comm vendors there will be one with more end than wp and one with more wp than end, more end is the tanking one and the wp one is more for dps and healers

It's not that hard a fight if you know the mechanics but if not then it has a few surprises, I'm a shadow tank and when he does affliction on someone I throw my guard on them to soak up some of the dmg and the healer needs to spam heal that person till it is off them, there isnt all that much other dmg so healer can focus on who has the dot, he's immune to interrupt so don't even bother, just heal through it, it is a nasty dot, I also throw gaurd on whoever has the fire balls on them in case the get hit cuz those hurt as well

     

    overall I think the fight is fine, we were all about 19-22 level range. I personally really like the fight, one of the first boss's thats got some different mechanics, and you have to pay attention to what's happening instead of "oh adds spawned kill them" or " don't stand in this"

  6. They do not ever need to add a threat meter. It is a tool that makes the game easier for everyone. Good tanks can judge threat based on damage output of their raid, their cooldowns, their damage, and the healing done by the healers. Adding a threat meter will only make tanking braindead easy and incredibly boring. Any thought, skill, or interactivity will be removed.

    Yes, but any sense of urgency is lost. Any sense of judgement will be removed and placed with "If my threat is below % then _ will happen oh no smash buttons".

     

     

    I have tanked in vanilla WoW and progressed through a majority of the content originally. I would tank multiple mobs without the AoE skills that are now present in the game. I would also be able to judge my aggro. It is what made tanking fun; maximizing your damage, minimizing your downtime and damage taken while holding aggro to let your dps do more damage.

     

    Furthermore, no threat meter means the rest of the raid has to be conscious of the fight. The damage dealers dont just lock onto their threat % and smash away at their keyboard. They would have to pay attention to the fight, their damage output, the tanks aggro, and the fight mechanics.

     

    Adding a threat meter would reduce the quality of the endgame (and leveling) content. Group composition, raid IQ, and the ability to breathe and think at the same time are all things that make raids more fun.

     

    So true! Been saying this forever, having knowledge handed to you is boring, figure stuff out and pay attention to make adjustments on the fly, makes things much more exciting and fun

     

    Instead of a threat meter can we just get a target of target. I hope I'm just not retarded and can't find it in the options.

     

    They ate adding customization to the yo soon they were saying so Prob will add it in.

Agree about force wave not being used much to an extent, I still keep it on bar but not in a priority spot, use it occasionally if a few mobs or adds on a boss fight are on say healer or something to knock then away and give dps time to burn them down and keep off the healer and to give some breathing room, but usually don't like to use it much when clearing mobs because noticed groups are quite often pretty close together so don't want to send em to close to another group and Argo them, very situational skill but does have its uses
  8. Just gotta get used to tankin on shadow, force breach and all that jazz, 26 shadow myself atm and have yet to have any problems, and it does get easier as you get a bit higher with some new skills like kinetic ward
  9. Does anyone know if your ever able to craft Shields for Shadow tanks? ones that increase willpower and endurance with the shield stats because i can only find schematics for the dps ones and every other type of tank type one except one that suits shadows, none give willpower...
