  1. I kno wat attention means tyvm. I graduated from Harvard law. Oh and if u were as intelligent as ur trying to make yourself appear tobe, EAware has removed more pvp systems than actually added. Yes its fact theyve added onto pvp, but we've been getting shafted more and more and now our player-base is on life support due to their incompetence.

Yea pvp guilds are not even the closest at being even one of the biggest guild. Ranked wzs were removed so try again.

Something many defenders here are prone to displaying

Idc if i am or if im not impressing u. I'm not trying to impress any1 here. I'm just a professional analyst in the mmo industry giving my critiques. Don't liek them? Well l2ignore_function.

for the love of god, stop lying to yourself. Your family is going to have you committed. There is no way in hell that you graduated from Harvard Law with that display of piss poor grammar and the large number of typo's. at best, you have received a GED (w / honors)

so what kind of analyst are you, considering there's various types...come on, wow us with your degree in BS and your doctorates in Living a Fantasy.

  2. Mandela was imprisoned in 1962. He, and the true goal of the anti-apartheid movement moved to the back burner at that time. The "height" of conflict started in 1966 with the rise of dictators all "claiming" to be anti-apartheid. From there began over 40 years of conflict in Africa, that still goes unresolved today.

    What I was referencing.

Dekou Toure, first hailed as a modern Messiah, who later killed hundreds of thousands in his death camps

Robert Mugabe, 22 years ran the entire country into financial ruin, and with a long list of war crimes

Idi Amin, "the Butcher of Uganda"

Ian Smith, another butcher opposed to democratic rule

    Leopold, killed millions of civilians.

Charles Taylor, Mobutu, Laurent Kabila, Biya in Cameroon, Abacha-nigeria, nguema, eyadema, Mariam, Al-bashir, Barre?

None of those dictators were "fighting against Apartheid" but doing exactly as I've stated, exactly as history has demonstrated, seeking power, control in poorly defended country with the words "apartheid" as a stepping stone to power..

....and the death toll at their hands as been all too famous

1 million in the Tutsi , over one hundred thousand in kenya, millions starving in Ethiopia while those very warlord run regimes stole supplies and food sent from the UN in the relief effort. Over a hundred thousand dead in Somalia, 600,000 in Mozambique, One million in Ethiopia in 1984 alone, over 6 million die in 15 years of unrest just in the Congo.....and the list goes on and on. These are just a few.

By 1974, with the country in strife, everyone from the US, to the Soviet Union, to France, and even North Korea have sent in "Advisors" as a means of gaining a "foot-hold" for their piece of the pie.

My contention was, and will remain, that a country without a strong defense is like a wounded fish in the ocean full of sharks. It was also to demonstrate that with the removal of one of the two major players, invasion would be an almost certainty. With no opposition, “advisers” would quickly become “deployments” would quickly become all out invasion…..as we have seen through-out history.

The reference to Africa was for purposes of example of that, not another debate on a different subject. Perhaps if you relax your emotions, and stop taking offense (for I don't know what LOL), you would see the example. Either way, I think that I've clearly demonstrated that your accusations and insults toward me, toward Americans were ill conceived, as well as your assertions regarding the referenced events in South Africa.

So what you mean by your original post was Africa as a whole and you actually made a mistake by saying South Africa.

you should actually travel a bit in a non military fashion and live with the people of other countries, you would get a better understanding of their view towards us Yanks.

  3. No i dont know. But the troops and the government are seperate. I quit the military because i objected to doing things just because im told regardless of my morals. But i beleive it. The cia also was involved in running drugs as well as plenty of unethical behaviour. But if you are going to intervene you are goig to have to pick a side and then the side u dont support will call foul so damned if you damned if you dont its a lose lose unless you just be like the swiss which im in favor of not meddling in anything foreign cause you cant win. They support whoever benefits their agenda despite morals or decency. They justify anything. But i am probably already being observed for my comments so i will just say i love the government.

    Dont drone me, bro

very good response, makes a lot of sense (no sarcasm intended)

  4. Are you people impaired in some way?

Starting in the first few pages:

    Still going on.

Any questions? Are you all even reading this dribble, or are you just getting your emotions in a knot and blurting whatever comes to mind?

seems you are impaired since you forgot what you posted which made you look ignorant....but then again, Muscles Are Required, Intelligence Not Essential.

  5. Its no our obligation to protect anyone we arent the world police even though for some reason we try. If we stand by and do nothing we get slammed for turning a blind eye. If we intervene we are told to stop meddling. So either way haters gonna hate. The only people we are obligated to defend are americans not ethnic groups

I do agree with you, but do you know what the US Govt did in South Africa? they worked with the Apartheid gov't to fight the freedom fighters who were supplied by the Russians and Cubans.

so the US gov't will support racism for their own political agenda.

  6. No, but it has been stated that our freedoms are absolutely secure without the need for the military, and that is what I believe he was answering.

There are a couple of holes in the ground in New York that would like to have a word with you. ;p

China, would have no option but to invade us, not as a conquerer, but to protect their national interest. With no one to stop them, this country would quickly become a sewer drain with every radical, warlike faction in the world moving in as fast as they could, to grab their piece of the pie. They would rise up here, gangs taking to the street to protect their "Turf".

Warlords and dictators would rise up overnight. What we would see would be like a scene out of south Africa during the height of conflict, with convoys from different factions, armed to the teeth, rolling through our streets killing at will. It would be followed by a massive invasion from China, as an attempt to restore order, and very possibly countered by our allies in an attempt to preserve democracy (or in the reverse order). Final outcome would be WW III, with us as the prize. Regardless of outcome, our country, our way of life, would be over.

This I agree with. its like a love-in, like "kiss a vet".....but its still all about ratings and we are the flavor of the month.

ummm....I am going way off topic here. warlords and dictators in South Africa during the height of conflict? You just strengthened the belief the the people around around that Americans are ignorant of anything outside their own country.

Do you even know what these warlords and dictators are fighting for? They where overthrowing their white oppressors. I didn't know Nelson Mandela is a warlord and dictator, even though he was voted in as President of South Africa.

Where was America defending the freedoms of the blacks and indans who were forced into townships and had all other kinds of atrocities going on? American Corporations sure were coining it here in South Africa during the Apartheid years.

i'm f*cking disgusted at that analogy that you used.

and before you spew from the mouth about me being anti american and such, i'm a Yank in South Africa that spent 10 years in the US Navy.

  7. I just find it amazing that any company would put what they know to be a broken product into the market with a simple "that's okay, we'll try to fix it soon (although we have no idea how yet)" with a hearty "oh and btw we aren't responsible for the patch/game not working for you even though it was working fine yesterday ... must be your fault somehow." thrown in besides ...

Go Google Microsoft Windows known issues on release day. in the software development industry, every company releases with known issues. they identify the risk and accept the risk that it's better to earn money off of the product instead of delaying further which equates to further loss of revenue.

  8. people that read guides are just lazy and not really gamers....just players. they lack the intelligence and patience to figure out the tricky situations and makes you wonder what would happen in RL if they run into a problem and they don't have a guide to refer to...must suck, huh?

part of the fun and excitement is figuring out the mechanics. you have the option of not running the pug with the new guys, you can easily go form your own groups with your guildies and friends.

    edit - corrected spelling

  9. Hehe.. this reminds me of a funny anecdote:

A group of 10 friends decide to always go out to dinner and pay for it according to how much money they make. This results in the $1000 bill being paid like this:

1 friend is on welfare and doesn't pay anything.

5 other friends make minimum wage and pay 3%, so $30 each

2 other friends have good office jobs and each pay 5%, so $50 each

1 other friend is a well paid self employed and pays 25%, so $250

the last friend is a millionaire and pays 50%, so $500

Now.. after they pay the $1000,- bill the owner of the Restaurant comes back to say they made a mistake and the bill should have been $900, giving back $100 to the group. The millionare and self employed suggest to give it back according to what people paid. So $50 to the millionaire, $25 to the self-employed.. etc.. The rest feel it should be divided evenly. So $10 each. The millionaire and self employed lose the vote 8 to 2, as everyone else felt they had equal right to the money they got back.

As you can understand.. next month, the group of friends suddenly consisted of 8 people having to pay the 800 dollar bill together. And the millionaire and self employed enjoyed a nice private meal by themselves.

Seen this exact same thing used for wealth and investing (rich folks take money out of the country). brilliant any in situation cause it shows how the have not's get greedy and always lose in the end.

  10. i'm not a programmer, but as an art director I've worked with a lot of programmers. My experience is that there are a lot of different ways to approach coding problems, and what one programmer might see as a hard limitation can be a unique challenge to another. Also, there is almost always room for improvement.

What makes MMOs unique, and so much different from your average title is that game design becomes somewhat of a collaboration between the community and the developers. That typically doesn't go as far as letting the community dictate how to code the game, but it does more often than not involve getting community input on design decisions.

It's a unique relationship, and smart devs take advantage of the vast resource that is the community. They use it to make their own work better. The community benefits because it improves the product they devote so much time and effort to.

I know there are some creative and brilliant programmers that play this game, and I personally think its good to see the OP show this kind of interest. BioWare is only so big--they can only do so many things at once--but this community is nearly limitless in what its capable of, and we should be open to everyone's contributions.

    Well Said!

  11. Yes they did. Remember when they also said that F2P games couldn't deliver what they could? Or when the said we'd have ranked WZ's BEFORE the next update? Or when they said Makeb would be a free content update? Or at E3 when they said Makeb would be released THIS YEAR?

They say a lotta things tbh...just be cautious what you believe.

With all the false advertising, is a class action lawsuit in order?

  12. A while back I had posted that I had accidently abandoned the quest "Friends of the Republic" on Taris. Because it was a mission that was acquired inside an instance, and was part of the main storyline of the planet Taris I was told by not 1, but multiple GM's the mission could not be reacquired by any means. The GM's would not help me in anyway to restore this mission and told me that missions like that could not be restored or reacquired and the game was designed this way.

I stewed in this for a while. I continued with my missions on other planets but needless to say, not being able to finish a main story of a planet bothered me. The fact a GM would not lift a finger to help, especially considering this was my first time making a mistake such as this also bothered me.

Today I logged in and decided to go back to Taris and try my luck. I posted in general chat asking if anyone happened to be on the same quest "Friends of the Republic" and got lucky. Another player "Sabredance" had just picked up this mission. I explained to him my situation and asked if would be kind enough to group with me and try to share the mission. He did and it worked. I was able to accept the mission when he shared it and FINALLY continue my planet missions on Taris. I found this amusing in a way because according to multiple GM who were unwilling to help me.. this mission and others like it could NOT be reacquired by any means and they could not help me.

So.. a big thank you to one of my fellow players, Sabredance for helping me where GMs could not and would not. My fellow players, keep this in mind in case this has ever happened to you with a mission. THANK YOU SABREDANCE!

    Bad bioware! Bad!
