  1. What we believe is that if you aren't initially near the boss when it gets pulled you don't get the "Drouk Hunter" buff. If you attempt to engage Dreadtooth without "Drouk Hunter" you are going to be 1shot. This is of course to prevent people from helping a group fight the boss.

This is what I we were thinking as well.

Thing to note, I believe if you are stealthed and pull, you will get the "Dread" debuff as well. Can't confirm it, but when we did some testing on it both myself (Operative) and our tank (Assassin) were within 10m from the boss, stealthed when pulled, and we got the debuff and were killed.

  2. Yep. This is a known issue and is being worked on.

It has to do with the latency between your personal client and the HeroEngine. In order for this to be better pinpointed, it has been asked to determined what platforms this has been happening on. I know you mentioned the first platform to the right when coming off of the bridge. Is this always the case, or has it happened to you when porting to other platforms? Which platform was this happening on for your tank?

I know we've had issues with the first platform (both left and right) for our tanks after jumping off the side and re-spawning on the bridge.

A few other known bugs are:

    - Being ported to the bottom, like you mentioned above. But NOT dying. We had this happen to us for the first time last night where one of our members was walking through a portal and was teleported to the bottom. He was alive and was able to walk around down there.

    - Jumping through a portal and being ported back to the original platform you made your jump from. This is a fail-safe/work around implemented for latency issues.

  3. I believe that the second when the screenshot was taken is not a reference to the second when the boss is dead.

Okay, I can agree with this because I understand not everyone took a screenshot at the exact second of the kill.

    But....

In determining a tie breaker, specifically between CKN and Chosen for rank 6 of the Writhing Horror, we both supply our kills in seconds. Chosen's with the exact second of the lore, ours with the time stamped chat of the Writhing Horror's death in the chat box. (The screenshot was taken 22 seconds after) =/

If you choose not to alter it, that's fine, it's your thread. But it is proven which kill took place first.

***We are always looking for exceptional players regardless of class.

Note: We do not recruit bench warmers. If you are recruited to raid with us you will be raiding with us. We expect you to be able to provide your own stims, adrenals, and repair costs. We hold each other accountable for playing well and working to improve.

    More about us:

We are a group of highly skilled and experienced players with backgrounds in some of the best WoW guilds in the US. While we are all from different guilds we all came together in the spirit of destroying PVE content. We are a goofy bunch that will be messing around on farm bosses, but once working on a goal we are serious about achieving it. We have carved out our own reputation in SWTOR as one of the top performing guilds. We actively raid on PTS when available. We have active twitch streamers found here .

We are into min/maxing our characters with the best possible spec, gear, and mods available to us. When we're not raiding we are normally hanging out on voice chat, PVPing and leveling alts. Many of us play other games together as well. Currently many of us are dabbling in GW2 but are eagerly awaiting the new SWTOR content as this game remains our focus for PVE endgame.

We treat loot in a way that is fair to our dedicated raiders. We distribute pieced in a round-robin fashion with the qualifications to receive loot being attendance of 80% or higher.

Note: Rerolls and sub50s - we will consider your application at a much higher level of selectivity. We don't want to waste your time and ours by having you roll a toon for us and then having you suck (sorry it's harsh but true) We expect you to have raided at a high level of progression for at least a 6 month period and that means being in a top 500 ranked US wow guild or being in a similarlly hard core guild in another game. We hold experienced pvp'ers that want to raid to similar standards. If you obtained a high rank in pvp that showcases your skill (ex: Gladiator in wow) then we would be happy to see what you can do. I my experience excellent pvp'ers make excellent raiders.

For any questions contact any of the following officers: Cali-x, Lucy-x, Dolphy, Thrílls, or Zipz. Feel free to post on our site for any general questions about the guild and one of our members will be happy to answer you.

  5. The healing operative is the same way. The 2 piece pvp set bonus makes our group heal worth using while the 4 piece pve bonus boosts a heal no proper operative should even have on their hotbar.

Completely agree, I love my 2/4 2/4 pve/pvp setup MUCH better than the 4/4 pve set bonus. It makes an incredible difference. Although Infusion is still on my bar, my keybind to it is growing cobwebs. lol

  6. It was 6 weeks from announcement of PTS character xfer until the release of 1.2. This was with 1.2 being VERY rough AND RWZs being removed. So basically 6 weeks to test 5 Ops bosses. And they were still broken on release... and have been almost 1/2 the time since the release of 1.2.

Six weeks from now is the end of September, which is in the "TFB will be released next month" time frame as well as putting it on par with the release of MoP.

Bioware might be bad at quite a few things, but they're not stupid. They know they need something to compete with MoP.

Release of PTS - Competes with GW2 launch.

Release on live - Competes with MoP going live.

  7. Can I ask, is there any word on when the patch notes will be available, or when the patch will make an appearance on PTS?

I know many who are very anxious to hear this news.

$10 bucks says PTS is announced with tomorrows maintenance and opens up transfers. PTS at the end of August lines up with timeline of the PTS previously being released, They finally said TFB will be released next month, and I found this today.

Looks to me like PTS will soon arrive.

  8. Yes, if you were to run it solo on your Vanguard, it will drop. I'm not sure if it will drop the first time since I'm not sure of its rarity, but it will definitely have a chance to drop.

Flashpoint drops are based off of your base class, in your case, Trooper. It has nothing to do with advanced classes. The name of the chest piece your looking for is just a name. It has no ties to being a Commando only piece or drop.

  9. just my opinion here but your Lazy:D tank should move DD on to the dps that way there is no excuses and your dps just dps's

I don't agree with this, your dps should move in front of the tank, that way it ensures that the correct dps get the DD, rather than the tank move it in front of the group and risk a healer getting it or something. That also removes the concerns of your tank not turning SC back into place fast enough and risk cleaving the raid.

  10. Minimal is still greater than zero, but I suppose the difference is negligible.

I still prefer switching for the increased damage, since there are no benefits to avoiding the switch.

I think the reason people avoid the switch is due to the fact that if there is a mess up whether it be due to quickness of tanks, tab targeting, or whatever it may be, there is a greater risk of wiping the raid, mainly from cleaves. But I can also see how that wouldn't be something to worry about if your groups stand on the outsides of the tanks.

Our groups stand on the inside for ease of cross healing for the DD soakers and the few people on the ground. It might be better for your group to tank swap. For others, dps taunt. As long as it's killed at the end of the night, right?
