  1. THis is one of those things that I hope are in the QoL improvements list.

    The Armory should be free.

But on that note, if they adopt what WoW did (idk if they still do) giving you extra features for $5 extra a month:

    Auction house access from app

    Guild chat access

For this game, crew skill access...

It's all free now, just to clarify.

  2. Wouldn't take the worlds greatest macro scripter to then use that simplified interface to control all character companions on infinite mission runs while they go to school, work, sleep, holiday.

    Technically, thats already doable actually.

Anyhow, the one thing EAWare actually seems pretty good at is catching botters(space missions.anyhow).

  3. I apologize in advance for what is most likely a stupid question:

Trained advanced Biochem so I can level up to 450, am currently at 400, however the only trainable schematics are the lvl 50 (Rakata for example) skills I chose not to purchase due to being useless for my Commando.

Question is, where do I get the new schematics? Must I make expensive lvl 50 blue/purple ones up to a certain level before I can buy new recipes?

Thank you in advance for any help!

There should be some green recipes you can make, you can learn the new stuff at 410.

  4. Balance is better than it ever has been. Playing all 8 classes and I feel all of them are strong. I think the rage now is purely I got ********d and i need to blame something else.

This actually sounds about right, except for PT/Vangs possibly being a tad on the weak side dps wise.

  5. Except that somehow Biochem still has unlimited reusables with no decrease in power at all.

Also, if new resuable grenades are as bad as people say, they could even be worse than old, Rakata ones.

Current biochem reusables have lower stats than their blue equivalents.

  6. I'm a subscriber and the character I'm currently playing is level 21, I always find myself with a lack of credits, I use credits for everything and I barely get by, sure you earn credits through quests warzones and flashpoints but I don't ever get much credits, I want to buy credits through the Cartel Market, it would make my game experience more enjoyable. I would seriously pay $60.00 for five hundred thousand credits.

And a credit lottery would be a good idea too, some MMORPGs do this (SUN) and I think SWTOR should too, I'd be glued to my screen for months if I had one million credits to play around with. I just want ways to get a large sum of credits for buying stuff in the galactic market.

You can pretty much already do this actually.

You can sell cartel packs / costumes, and if you ask around in chat you'll likely find someone rich enough to constantly buy off you if you want.

60$ for 500k would actually be a terrible rate on my server for example, since selling cartel packs would get you way way way more than that.

Items you buy off the cartel market are bound to you for 36 hours, after which if you havent bound them to you by using them you can put them up on the gtn.

Also sending your crew out on gathering missions can be a very safe source of materials.

The easiest I can think of would be to take slicing for the Purple Tech parts which sell well, and Possibly Underworld trading/Diplomacy for your mission skill, and fill in with whatever gathering skill you wish for your third slot.(This is assuming you don't want to craft, of course).

  7. This game almost died once. Now it will die for sure when they don't nerf it.

Make a voting. Everyone cept ops will vote for nerf.

There are already non ops/smugglers in this very thread saying they feel its fine, making sweeping statements like that doesn't help your case any.

As of now, I don't believe we've seen any relevant footage showing that scamper is as broken as it is being claimed, the only video I've seen in the thread was already pretty much discredited.

  8. You raise a good point, but I think you might be overstating the case just a bit. I'm willing to concede that the PvE gear grind is way more involved in terms of time and cost as compared to the PvP gear grind. It's really not that hard to get Partisan all told. I'm a scrub and had it in 3 days.

The really worrisome idea (worrisome to both PvE and PvP) that the change to WH/ EWH brings to the table is the precedent BW has set by making a radical change to the itemization of a gear set with no warning. To those who say gear resets happen, deal with it; how many of you saw them stripping expertise from WH/ EWH in the xpac? It blindsided all of us. That's the problem with what they did to WH/ EWH.

They did say they intended for WH/EWH to be better than normal PVE gear though, but that is assuming they fix it(which is well, what I was assuming I guess).

  9. Yes they are! He got them while he didn't spend any credit for them. You seem to be confusing maximizing profit with cost of crafting.

If he would have made more by selling the mats, it means he just perhaps made the wrong choice, it doesn't change the fact that the margin doesn't exist. He could have sold them for 100 credit and it would still be a profit.

What I mean is, while you may have obtained them without cost, that doesn't make the mats lose their value :p

You are still essentially paying a price for using the mats, since you could have sold them otherwise.

It still is up to you how to use your mats, though!

  10. if you are farming your own materials....that 80k mod is nearly ALL profit. seriously, if you are buying raw materials on the gtn in order to craft for money....you are passing up a lot of profit. you can go ahead and pay 10k each for raw materials, but i'm not. that's crazy.

You have to factor in what you could have gotten from selling the mats, just because you got your own mats doesn't make them "free".

  11. Yes, it was removed with the release of Game Update 2.0. As of now there are no level 50 PvP/PvE gear sets (other than Black Hole which drops in Level 50 operations). You must purchase Rise of the Hutt Cartel and level to 55 to use the new gear.

Just to clarify , it drops off HM FPs, and is substantially better than the recruit or tionese previously given.

  12. Bioware, I swear nerf the *********** roll or houndrets of people will leave your game.

Bioware, I swear don't nerf the *********** roll or houndrets of people will leave your game.

    Your move.

  13. Random i don't know, but i seem to get good results on my rep character for Metabolic Enhancement agent and get no Artificial Microbe, and on my Sith Character i get good results for Artificial Microbe and no Metabolic Enhancement Agent.

    Could this be faction related?

    Probably just rng :p

  14. Well, I appreciate all of your kind posts guys.

I have returned for the time being, my health has improved, I'm feeling quite a bit better, at least for now.

At any rate, it's time for me to poke my head around a bit and see what kind of troub...err....what kind of input and feedback I can provide.

While I have no idea who you are... congrats :p

    And welcome back!

  15. This is what I suspected, but I didn't test it since I don't play a tank much, thanks for confirming.

    Edit:

Question: While the new stim is clearly better than the old, I'm not sure if the new medpac is worth using over the rakata one, which heals for less but also gives 15% to max hp for 15 seconds.

  16. So ya, I like all the Dav talk on what is meant to be on the chnages. And it is clear they have to do even more fixing of the armor / stats & PVP.

However I am most unhappy with the following.

I spent a great deal of time in building up Com's/Points for PVP armor with. (not that it even was working right at the time.) But never the less you have taken all the time I spent in getting PVP armor and basicly come back and told me tuff luck you have to start over for your PVP armor.

    Sorry SWTOR... You stink!

    :rak_02:

This gear reset happens for pve as well, so yea.
