  1. Hey guys I recently came back after a long break and thought of rolling a sorc.

Since I am a DPS monkey I was interested to ask about how Lightning spec. performs in PvE endgame and also for leveling and normal Flashpoints and such in comparison to Madness?

I am perfectly aware of the fact that Madness provides us with more mobility and that should mean (judging by my logic) that Lightning should hit a tad harder...

Also how are we compared to other DPS classes at the moment?

    Thank you!

  2. Hey folks, I gave up on this game about a year ago. Today I realised I miss it so I figured I'd start playing again.

I've played Arsenal Merc. and Marauder before I quit the game had fun with both especialy with the Marauder...

I was thinking of starting a Sorc. or another Merc. how are classes in general in PvP in terms of fun and utility in Rated Warzones?

  3. Hey guys, I came back to SWTOR 2 days ago after a break of 3 months and since I played alot of PvP since game launch both Marauder and Mercenary I said to myself: "...maybe I should give PvE a chance in this game since I never quite tried it after level 50"; all I used to do after 50 was sink myself in WarZones for hours and hours of endless (pointless at that time since there were no Rated ones) grind.

So getting to the point of my thread, can anyone shed some light about what spec. is hot nowadys for a PvE dps. Sorc. (and post the actual spec. if possible)? Madness / Lightning?

    Thanks!

  4. Ravage use as a anni is situational. I pike to use it on healers that like to sit and heal, or turret mercs/commandos. Most players are smart enough to take off running after your charge that's where seeping wound comes in to play. Once snared you can usually pop off 2 ticks before they're out of range, but most of the time you have to wait for stuns from other classes so you can use it. It's not really affective 1v1 against a good player, but against some of the garbage players out there, its a killer.

My thoughts exactly, good against NPC-ish players... Fun indeed.

  5. Hey guys currently after the patch I'm running this:

Any thoughts? Any alternatives? What are you folks running for PvP atm.?

Was thinking of dropping 2 points from [seeping Wound] and using them for [Decimate] or why not even [Cloak of Carnage] and using Crippling Slash (as I did until now) for snares but having basically the same effect from Rupture atm. is pretty tempting.

  6. Quit SWtOR about a month ago, now I'm back and have rerolled a Marauder.

I'm planning on focusing on the PvE part of the game now so as soon as I strike 50 I'm going to start farming heroic flashpoints and later on, operations.

My question is rather simple, I'm a dps. junkie (have been like this in every MMO), what should I focuse on learning and mastering: Annihilation / Carnage or Rage?

    Thank you in advance!

  7. Ok, so it is low priority.

It also happens to be one of those things that takes a low amount of commitment to address.

90% of the work is already done because the character customization system already exists...it's the exact same system as character creation.

They just need to add an NPC in the two fleet stations labeled "genetic modifications vendor" and when you click on it, gives you a confirmation dialogue asking if you're sure you want to re-customize, possibly with a fee (gee...just like the talent point reset vendor) you click yes and it whisks you away to the character creation routine, you make your changes, hit save and it updates the whole 8 or 9 no-more-than-2-digit entries in the database that determine what is rendered on your screen.

I can go either way on allowing race changes, but err on the side of having that be locked in. Name changes I'm of split mind on. For an RPer, I saw positive uses for it in SWG since it allowed people to have an alt they could use as a throwaway "NPC" for specific plots without having to re-grind an entire toon over. However, there is the negative aspect of allowing those who have developed a bad reputation to change their name and fool people into allowing them to continue abusing their anonymity.

But allowing us to change skin color/complexion/scars/hair? I really don't see this is a bad thing and all the pieces are already in place to do it.

BW pls. read this. It's a great idea.

  8. I know this feature came pretty late in WoW but it was well recieved by the community and I'm sure some people here would pay real money for some mistakes they made when creating their character.

When you first start a game you think less about how the character looks and more about the game itself.

So my question is: Is there a chance we could see a character RE-Customisation feature in the near future? (i.e. sex change etc.)

The nicest thing you guys could do is offer a free one (like StarCraft II did with the name changes) since most of the people have seen the game now and know what they like alot more than they did back in day 1.

    Thanks!

  9. Was just wondering what would be better to have, 2x Expertise (PvP) Relics or 1x Expertise and 1x Matrix Cube.

I personally use 2x Expertise Relics for the on use effects and ofc. for the + Expertise they pack.

    Opinions?

  10. I've been playing this game since Dec. 13th 2011.

I'm a Red Zoner so I went through some problems in order to get it, but I did because I've been waiting for SWtOR for 3 years and I love it. I also wanted to get into the closed BETA but that wasn't possible. I was here for every BETA weekend tho.

(This isn't the point, just an intro...)

So, lately I've seen alot of threads around that sound more or less like this: "OP is getting the nerf.-bat, Sorc. or BH next?".

I personally have no problem with any class. I have 8 years of experience in competitive PvP in MMOs, and I've seen my share of inbalance but have NEVER complained about anything - on the contrary I always tried to get better and better, to investigate my errors and to fix them. (that's what I do IRL too, it's hard at times but it pays off quite well)

I'm an Arsenal BH and have ~ 30 Keybinds (I click on NOTHING) I use my mouse for movement only.

My point is: "...oh just intrerupt Tracer Missle, and look at them running around doing nothing" wrong:

You might get fake casted and waste your intrerupt.

You might actually intrerupt me but I'll still trample on you (95% of the cases).

Not all of us have 1 Skill on their action bar as you might think.

We aren't Overpowered if we didn't die after you intrerupted Tracer Missile.

All of you Mercs. there making Youtube movies of your geared BH toping the dps. charts with having just Tracer Missile on your action-bar you should really be ashamed of yourselves. You're the ones feeding the trolls and let's say the more casual "weekend PvP-ers" that queue for a Warzone and get stomped on by a player that breathes PvP, that plays the game FOR the PvP experience and that knows his stuff, knows how to beat you. You feed their frustration and you send them straight to the forums where they usualy vent that, most of times, unreasonable frustration.

I guess some of you feed on this and find it somehow exciting, but I won't go there...

!Do not get me wrong I have nothing against the more casual players or against the ones that PvE!

Back to the last paragraph, after seeing these movies they're all like "Nerf. Tracer, 15s c/d on it, 1 min. c/d on it..." Are you serious? In their ignorance they don't realise that something like that would kill this spec. totally. Arsenal would be = 0.

On the other hand they might drop their original class (the one that they found appealing and loved when they first started) just to reroll a BH go Arsenal and find out that they're not that good as they thought - go figure why.

And there you go! FotM rollers are born...

One more thing, if you're a Marauder and you complain about an Arsenal Merc. you should reroll to Uninstall Wizard.

If you're a Concealment Agent and you get destroyed by an Arsenal Merc. you should also do what the Marauder did.

I am talking here strictly about 1v1 balanced no influence from outside, no vantage point (duel situation). Not the given situation of you being inside The Pit in Huttball the Merc. is up on a platform and you get destroyed by him, that's our role that's what we're supposed to do.

Those two adv. classes are at the moment one of the more difficult adversaries that you encounter as an Arsenal BH. basically Kryptonite to us imo.

I have alot more to say but it's late I'm a bit tired and I don't want to bore you with walls of text. I hope you understood my message and won't misinterpret.

So, to all my effective fellow BH Arsenal brothers and sisters out there: Good hunting!

(And to all the other classes and players, find our weakness and kill us instead of asking BioWare to cripple us)

    Peace! Xoxo
