  1. I just wanted to say thanks for giving away a speeder that was a sub reward *sarcasm font*, now some of us will never use ours again since everyone will have it. What's next giving away Nico (which I have), Shae (which I didn't earn so I have to deal with it), or Master what's her name (don't have her either but oh well I didn't earn her either so it's my loss).

The point is, when you start giving away awards like this you just open up the flood gates, you could have at least reskinned a little at least.

Honestly they need to start giving everything away for free at this point because tons of people are leaving. They have no advertising whatsoever and they have no way of getting people to join or come back. Giving away temperate codes for cool items is a start. Yes the items you had to work hard for to achieve SHOULD NOT be given away to any one else, they earned it, they get it. But say items that were given out to people and someone missed it by ONE day and then they're giving a code out for those people who missed out on it... that's pretty neat to me. Doesn't make up for the ping though :p

  2. The referral program will give "new F2P's" a chance to experience the game as a subscriber for 7 continuous days. If 7 continuous days is not enough for a "new F2P" player to decide if he wants to subscribe, then why should we believe that 2 non-consecrutive Saturdays in a month will be enough?

IMO, this "suggestion" is nothing more than a very poorly veiled "let me play end game content for FREE (even if it's only 2 days a month, with 2 weeks worth of OP's crammed into those 2 days)".

You don't know how referrals work lol

When you refer a new player or an F2P or even a preferred... you both get ZERO rewards. Nothing. Referrals only work for subscribers or preferred players who USED TO BE subscribers. So get your facts straight before trashing on someone's simple suggestion which is a great suggestion btw. BioWare needs to do something like that, giving a weekend completely FREE for the game would reel in a lot more players. And it would only be one weekend big whoop, ya cry baby.

  3. Hoth? Because Chiss?

Maybe Illum? They like the cold, no?

    Darth Malgus reveal too?

YES! This! Would love to go back to Ilum for them to reveal Malgus is the leader of the new order. Would be nice storytelling... but knowing BioWare we'll probably return to Makeb and the leader of the order will be a fat Hutt. Maybe the leader of the order is a Rakghoul queen on Taris. Who knows these days with BioWare... :p

  4. I know some people have already suggested this but it's been a long time with no response... It's been 3 years since the release of Shadow of Revan expansion and we still don't have a Rishi stronghold! I would absolutely love this stronghold, you got the forest areas, you got the beach, and you got the Smuggler/Bounty Hunter feel on the planet. Also you already have a ton of Rishi decorations like the trees, the huts, the camping sets, all the revanite decos... Now it's time to make the stronghold.
  5. I'm going to be blunt and right to the point: even as the Lightning Sorcerer was at the bottom of the DPS chain, and was in dire need of heavy buffs, it still got nerfed. It is now dealing much less damage, it's survivability has gone down, and so forth. While new players might think the concept of the Lightning Sorcerer is cool, as soon as they hit mid and end game, ops, etc, they're going to be like, "Man, I'm not doing anything at all!" and they'll soon resort to other toons. All in all, the Lightning Sorcerer NEEDS a buff. If this gets enough attention, it might even happen!

    #buffsorcs2017 share the hashtag everywhere.

  6. Hello,

I thought it would be a nice idea to transport official maps from Star Wars Battlefront 1 (the very fiirst game in this series) into PvP mode of SWTOR.

For example the Yavin Arena from that game ... It would fit very well into SWTOR PvP mode, it would only need to become a bit polished since the SWBF game places it during the Clone Wars era or even later.

Same for Rhen Var, the ice planet.

All maps that I mean :

    - Rhen Var : Citadel

    - Rhen Var : Harbour

    - Yavin 4 : Arena

    - Yavin 4 : Temple

    Alrik

In case you didn't read the roadmap, we're actually getting a Yavin PvP warzone match ;)

  7. They can make it interesting. I mean, with that logic, Tatooine shouldn't be in the game. What's exciting about a bunch of sand? It’s coarse, and rough, and irritating, and it gets everywhere.

They can expand on the Rakata ruins, the light saber crystal cave (and some other caves), the Jedi enclave ruins, and maybe just think up some stuff. All you would need is a little imagination and creativity. :)

    This.

  8. Any plans of buffing the VG/PT tank? I think this is the only class/spec in the game what is hardly played at the moment as it lacks any benefits/special abilities compared to other tank classes.

Yep, and super squishy in PvP. Sad that they gave all the defenses to Merc, a DPS and Heals class, rather then give the defenses to Powertech, the actual tank.

  9. Probably should have put in the patch notes that Force Lightning, Thundering Blast and Chain Lightning all got nerfed bad. Force Lightning does about 12-14% less damage in PvP. Pre 5.5 with a 238 rating bolster in warzones Force Lightning would do about 15.1k damage. Now, after 5.5 in warzones with an even higher 242 rating bolster, Force Lightning only does about 13.1k damage. I don't know the exact numbers for Thundering Blast and Chain Lightning but I know they're under performing too. I'd like to say that Thundering Blast is now anywhere from 5-10% less damage then it was Pre 5.5. And Chain Lightning feels a lot less effective. I have no problem with the devs nerfing a class like this if it's over performing and OP, but the problem is Lightning Sorcerer was already under performing and it still got a nerf. Another thing, this would be a suggestion, increase critical hit for all lightning moves.
  10. There is zero reason for them to "fix" CXP values for dailies before many of the other long standing bugs in this game. I mean if they have the priority of server merges to deal with, fixing CXP values on dailies should be the very last thing on their minds.

Zero reason to do it, it isn't a priority, it made players happier. So why has a developer even spent time doing this? What an utter waste of resources that could have been put to better use somewhere else.

    I second that.

  11. After 4.0 Leveling is extremely quick. While there is the level sync, most of the mobs and class bosses are still a little too easy.

I'm thinking there could be a consumable that reduces the amount of XP you gain if you want to level at a slower pace. This will also add a slight challenge when doing your class storyline since you stay at the same level as the other mobs.

I know most players like leveling their characters really fast but it would be nice to have the option for other players who want to level a little slower.

I don't know if it does anything, but if you right click your avatar there's something that says "Mission Difficulty Preference", I would like to assume setting it to master changes something. :p

  12. 2.0 was arguably better than 3.0 but the op is right that 3.0 is the last expansion that is worth calling an expansion. It certainly had issues, but it was a proper expansion in SWTOR terms.

Both 4.0 and 5.0 got less and less content, aside from story which people are very divided over as it is. With 4.0 we got the new age of recycling old content and 5.0 additionally gave us the expansion of badly executed ideas that could've been good.

So yeah, with all of its problems, 3.0 was still more of an expansion than what followed. I kinda hope that 6.0 will be a return to sense and I even don't mind if we don't see it launch this year anymore.

I really want them to fix some issues with existing content like GSF, SH Decorating, Conquest, FPs and Uprisings alike and clean up the mess that is Galactic Command. This all really should get some help along with bringing out new stuff in my view.

So yeah, it'd be nice if 6.0 was a step up again from 5.0 and not another step down.

COMPLETELY agree. I remember purchasing my subscription again after a few months break and was extremely excited for 2.0. Makeb story, Oricon, the new ops, we still had PvP gear, good stuff. 3.0 was almost equally great IMO, but 4.0 and 5.0 was the downward trend. I completely agree though where you said you hope that 6.0 will be a return to sense. Yes, they need to make SWTOR great again with this expansion and take extra time to make it happen. Not rush it. Hoping that buy sometime early next year we'll get what we've all been hoping for.

  13. The title says it all. That's what I want to go back to. That's what most of us want to go back to. We all became Star Wars fans because of it. It was great. And I know there's so much of it already, but that's what Star Wars is, Republic vs. Empire. With the direction BioWare is heading with this game, might as well call the game 'Star Peace: The Old Alliance'. I mean, honestly. The alliance was good at the beginning and it was a fun story, but it should've ended after KotET. After the final chapter of KotET the alliance should've been blown up or something and we go back to war. And if you pick lightside option, "Let the throne be a beacon of peace", come on! Makeb type story lines are great, I loved that (just didn't like the planet itself, but the story was great). We just want the simplicity of Empire and Republic, no alliance. Maybe make a story line where it's Dromund Kaas bombards Coruscant or vice versa, that'd be cool. Just give us a story that brings make the true meaning of Star Wars, not Star Peace.

Another suggestion would be to add more planets for new story lines, but not create new Zakuul type planets (because imo that was a failure of a planet), but bring some of the actual Star Wars planets like Endor, Kashyyyk, Dathomir (I mean you have the Rancor and the armor set already, time to add the planet! :D), and maybe Talus and Dantooine. All planets I'm sure some people would like to see. I know some planets wouldn't fit into The Old Republic, but at least try Kashyyyk and Dathomir (Kashyyyk could tie in with Life Day and you could make a great story on Dathomir).

I know the planets suggestion is waaaaayyy too much to ask right now, since it would take a fairly long time to create and a lot of resources BioWare doesn't have anymore, but at least try to go back to a Republic vs. Empire story. We'd all very much appreciate it. And we might finally have fun in SWTOR again. Leave your thoughts, comments and criticism down below and let's continue with suggestions that everyone would like to make this game great again. Make SWTOR Great Again!

  14. Everyone's continuously complaining about how "I spent my money on this game and now it's wasting". Come on. It's 50¢ people. 2 quarters. Half a dollar. If it's really THAT big a deal I'll mail you two quarters. Sound good?
  15. Alright folks, I have some updates for you.

Initial testing of the fix is looking very promising. The strange issues that you saw (such as missing components on the interface) are not present and everything appears to be working as it should once again. This is not a guarantee as we haven't checked everything, but it is a great start.

With that in mind, we have begun the process of taking the fixed patch and moving it to the live servers. This process will take around 2 hours. Then, we need to verify that everything remained stable and is still working as intended.

Assuming everything goes well, we are hopeful that the servers will be live again in around 3 hours from now. I will pass on updated information as soon as I have it. Thank you everyone for your patience today.

Thank you very much Eric. At least we know when we can log back on. I gotta get stuff done but looking forward to logging in at 5PM. Hopefully everything goes as planned. :)

  16. Honestly, I don't care right now for a stupid codes, compensation (while yes that would be nice and well deserved), or extended CXP boost time. Just please fix the game. I just wanna play. Thank you for you work trying to get this fix but next time before you release a patch, PLEASE make sure that you have tested it and are 100% confident in it's release. But let's not get so worked up about a crappy situation. Hopefully this nonsense will get fixed soon and we'll all be able to go back to having fun playing SWTOR
  17. Please compensate for the inconvenience by giving us ALL codes for say 450 CC. Not all of us are gonna be stalking the forum every second to get a code. And only 5 codes for CC? Come on. We're all suffering here, it's major inconvenience, we just want to play. And because you guys wanted to fix a stupid Iokath CXP glitch, you break the whole game. You know how hard it is to get to Tier 4 as it is? If you want to reward us with anything how about an unlimited use code for either some cartel coins, unassembled components or some command ranks. We don't want a stupid droid pet. That's a waste of time. And please extend the CXP boost event by another day. Thanks for taking your time to read and I hope things get sorted out soon.
  18. You might want to reread the history of Mustafar cause during this period, it is FAR from paradise and more chaotic then it appears in the Movies.

However, in 3996 BBY, the resurgent Sith wished to exterminate the Jedi, and so a climactic battle took place on the planet. This battle was so intense that one of the nearby gas giants was pulled into its current location by the Force, starting the gravitational tug-of-war. The environmental hazards caused by this forced the Jedi to abandon their temples on the planet.

That is 353 years before the start of this Game.

Oh, and Mandalore is not the home world of the Mandalorians. While it might be the Planet some some of the current Mandalorians were born on, it is not the true/actual HOME World of the Mandalorian Society.

That is why I'd like to have Mustafar. A chaotic lava world. I don't exactly know how that would be in SWTOR though, but it would be nice to see. Or it could be a ops. I don't know, just a suggestion as are these all.

  19. This is my first post on the forums and it's because I was looking into a few Star Wars planets that aren't currently in the game that I think should be. SUGGESTION 1: DATHOMIR planet. I know that a lot of people would like for Dathomir to be added to the game. And it's a really cool planet that I'd like to see what the BioWare team would do with it. SUGGESTION 2: DANTOOINE planet. Now I know a LOT of people would like this. BioWare added it to KOTOR so why not in this game? I would really love to see Dantooine in a better graphical SWTOR version planet. Now I know all the rest are long shots but I'm still gonna suggest them. SUGGESTION 3: KASHYYYK planet! Now I know a LOOOT of people want this. A lot of us players in SWTOR would LOVE to be able to play through Kashyyyk and see it in SWTOR. Maybe there could be a Life Day celebration there if BioWare were to make it. After all Life Day is made by the Wookiees (at least I think). SUGGESTION 4: MANDALORE planet. Home world of the Mandalorians in the Mandalore sector on the Outer Rim Territories. Head to http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Mandalore to get some ideas on how Mandalore looks. SUGGESTION 5: IRIDONIA planet. A home world of the Zabraks which I WOULD LOOOVE to see in SWTOR. SUGGESTION 6: MUSTAFAR. And lastly would be a tropical beach world. Maybe just making Rakata Prime into a travel-able planet I don't know, just a suggestion.

Now, I know that these planets probably won't be added to the game, but I just wanted to get these suggestions out to you guys and BioWare to at least get a chance of them being added to the game. I hope you guys like these suggestions, let me know in the comments.
