  1. They do that a lot... which is another sticking point but yeah... wow.. back to the questing and the silly 10s who go into WZs without any knowledge of their own toons.

And I love Wookies.. I want to be one!

Servers are up. The downtime was only 2 hours. Let's all take a deep breath
  2. When you have seen, first hand, what a poor manager goes through with the people who can't understand the code that they are supposed to be working on, then please, tell me I am wrong, but I've seen it TIME AND TIME AGAIN, in Government AND in Private Corporations.

If the REAL problem isn't addressed NO GAME can go forward as well as it SHOULD HAVE or COULD HAVE.

I was keeping it positive... I want the game to have THE BEST and darn it they can afford better; better programmers, better/faster servers. servers that are NOT DISK based, RAID based and are ALL on solid state drives that are massively redundant and can be switched from one set to the other(s) in less than 20 minutes for a cold restart on a HUGE array.

Now, how is that against the rules ? I DO have better ideas - just because I am looking forward and they (and just about every other gaming company) IS NOT why flag the person who COULD do better at least with the "visible" things that are "wrong" or perceived to be wrong...

WHY don't they have a background dowloader BETTER than the one WOW currently struggles with? There are protocols out there that are wicked fast, but I am guessing their bandwidth isn't what we may want to believe it is at all times... even major trunks can go out - it has happened and it will happen again. I used to get calls from people and then I find out two days later that a REGION of internet was out for days or more (duration for one was over a month).

Point is, if I can think of ways to do better and me just a 20 year computer IT certified, even before books techie/Lan Admin, I think with their collective genius they can do even better.. but I'd like input on MY ideas instead of them thinking that I was "JUST" proving how little freedom of speech exists online and with companies who are being paid by hard working and game loving people.

I am a VERY positive person, but anyone can have their ire provoked when a company takes money and then doesn't keep the people in the loop about just how many "outages" "patch" or "maintenance" HOURS and WHEN those hours will be carried out on a STRICTER and more ORDERLY schedule so people can work around them...

Sorry but one outage a week was about all I could take - with several during the week (I am not talking dropping) and all servers offline for several hours at a time with little to no notice is unacceptable - again we pay for this.

We deserve the best gaming experience that an MMO can provide.

Show me ONE person, if the game was Star Wars and the technology was two to three times better than this, do you REALLY think that people would stick around long?

THAT is what we are all trying to avoid.... another SWG and another heartbreak ending to a game we become invested in and they seem to not understand is, MOSTLY, a scheduled and very valuable time for most!

I have a real life too, but I play the game to keep my fingers and my mind sharp while sitting in the dark waiting for the stores to open at dawn... I sleep every other day... There are many people who depend not on the game but on it's ability to interest, test, stretch, and motivate to BETTER one's performance - even small gains for someone like me with rheumatoid arthritis is a daily victory.

Thanks for the browbeating Bioware and others. Cheers.

Out of interest, was it you I was replying to that had nothing but insults for the developers, such as 'Idiot programmers and their stupid managers who have never seen a line of code in their life'? If that was you, you really can't complain.
  3. Too many of us agree with you.

Those who don't must have a massive amount of time to waste sitting and waiting for 4-6 hours several times a WEEK - I don't. I am guessing you don't.

Bioware removed my very honest and very provable post - but hey we pay for this kindergarten mentality where we have to take a nap - forcefully - at least once a week. It's getting old and I am not 5.

I wasnt complaining about matrix cubes missing... I couldnt care less about it. It will come back, and should have come back during SCHEDULED patches. Get a lower level item to hold you over until it is fixed. It wont kill you. But i do pay for gametime and when that is taken away more then necessary without any form of compensation such as free gametime or discounts on future gametime, then yeah i am going to complain... And loudly.
  4. Thanks for the post and for the link to your spec.

Would you mind a screenshot of your cast bars and a hint as to rotation priority to I can set up my cast bars properly?

Nothing I am doing is working - I am doing "ok" in warzones, but Quests aren't doable even at 31 and the silly class boss is 30.

    Thanks.

Not sure if all the QQ is to try to incite BW to give us back 1.4 second deliverances or what but odds are its not happening... if it does then sages go back to EZ-Mode healing again which would be sweet but even with the changes we currently have in place if you play correctly you wont suck. So heres how to heal as a sage post 1.2

First heres my spec. My healing specilization

Rule #1 QUIT *********** RELYING ON DELIVERANCE It was amazing when paired with clairvoyance because of the fact you could 1. double dip on the proc and 2. the proc gave us 1.4 second heals that could crit for 6k or more. This is not the case anymore and tbh the spell should not be used very often and never be used in a high pressure healing situation.

So having said that now some people are going to say well I'm going to run out of force and benevolence doesnt heal enough! I can't heal as a sage anymore so im gonna QQ and re-roll/quit. The simple soultion here is:

    2. Spec into valiance so NS only takes 11% health per cast.

    3. Use salvation pretty much on CD with conveyance procs so you dont go OOF casting it(its 91 force(100 if youre not specced right) if you dont use it with conveyance, dont do that)

    4. Use benevolence with conveyance when you dont need to get your force back. A benevolence crit heals as much as a deliverance non crit and with conveyance its pretty much an auto crit.

    5. If you need force use conveyance with healing trance then NS with the resplendance proc while standing in your salvation.

    6. ALWAYS BE STANDING IN YOUR SALVATION! Unless theres a mechanic that is going to prevent you from doing so but smart placement of salvation should keep you inside your nifty lil aoe heal most of the time while also healing your group be it PvP, Ops or FP. This also negates the problem of NS costing you life to cast now even with Resplendance. A couple of ticks of youe AOE heal and your back to where you were before you NS'ed.

    other little things to note:

    1. Use healing trance on CD as well toss it on the tank and get that resplendance proc so you can keep your force topped of as best as possible.(even if it doesnt proc resplendance its good to keep someone thats taking damage topped off with)

    2. If youre in trouble and falling behind on heals for the group use your force armor to help you catch up. It's instant cast and will keep that guy whos low on health at that health level while you take the time to wind up a benevolence or channel healing trance on him. Again never use deliverance in a high pressure situation.

    3. Healing trance does not eat conveyance. So a good rotation to follow at the start of any encounter would be rejuv then HT then salv or benevolence since you still have conveyance after your HT has finished casting(and crit on most of the ticks thanks to conveyance). The only problem with this rotation is you have a small deadzone of time after you eat conveyance. You can cast some non conveyance benevolence or whatever you want in this time.(I usually use the time to toss out a force armor on a few people) or if im getting focused in pvp can use this time to move around, toss a clense, ect. what you do with this window of time before you can recast HT is up to you :)(this also assumes youre not already using the 2 piece PVE set bonus to HT)

That's about all I have. If anyone has anything else to add to help our poor sage healers out more feel free to add it. Hope this helps all of you out that re coming here not knowing what to do about our healing "nerf"

  5. I am healer spec'd and I can't do a thing to kill Vivicar.

I can get the rest, I had NO problems killing the rest of the elites, but Vivicar and his 9000 one shot has killed me four times now and it's getting VERY frustrating, not FUN.

If this is a game, not real life, we should be able to solo our OWN AREAS - not so with the nerf that the Sage/Seers have had to put up with since the crappy 1.2 "update".

Bioware has a lot to learn about real human beings... Some of us are doing this to TRY to stay focused, healthy and keep our digits from petrifying from arthritis and more... thanks Bioware you are about as heartless as it gets.

This was the ONLY healer in an MMO (out of all of them since the INCEPTION of MMOs) that I 've EVER been able to play efficiently, until now.

I thought the point of this game was fun and social gathering... So far, I've been wrong every single time I've tried to believe that.

I seriously feel like Vivicar - and a couple other class quests, are balanced around the shadow.

As sage.. it's rough. As healer-specced, it's horrible.

Class quests.. I don't care if they're a little tougher than normal. I do care - immensely - if they're a brick wall that depends on five minutes worth of perfect play, self-casting heals and managing your companion so that the companion nickle-and-dimes the mob to death.

Haven't faced that kind of challenge since the hunter legendary bow quest.

Frankly, I got the 'vivicar' quest at level 31. I had to get friends to help out. It surprised the hell out of my FOUR MAN GROUP how hard it was. They were seriously flabberghasted - clearing that ship felt like a flash point.

  6. Actually I tend to agree with you.

    to OP's Bioware Interview.

All I seen after reading it was the following.

    Translation

F-U Player base you will do what we say. I hate healers because it takes nearly 15 seconds to trash them. Also I like PVP and my Marauder is only getting 50 kills a WZ. I want MORE!!

  7. Absolutely the best post POST 1.2.

I too am very miffed with Bioware for making the only character that I WAS good at not good at all... I am 1st or 2nd in healing in warzones but I am not getting anywhere NEAR the levels of all benefits from warzones since the nerf.

Bioware, you have done something that has made Sage/Seer all but impossible for all but the most skilled of players - and as seen in your post even the elite are torn to shreds... how is a person with rheumatoid arthritis supposed to be anywhere NEAR as good as you are?

I salute you for taking the time to put your very intelligent and very heartfelt words onto the screen for Bioware to see and hang their heads in shame. Oops, that would actually mean they look at postings .... apparently NOT.

They didn't learn a darn thing from their past mistakes at all.:csw_c3po:

    :sy_republic:

All I heard from people leading up to 1.2 was everyone complaining about Healers getting nerfed. I lvled my Sorc to 50 as heal spec the whole way (switched to DPS after 50 because 50 lvls of healing got boring). Healing as my Sorc was super-easy mode. (I played PvE ONLY as my Sorc) Very rarely (during HM FPs) would anyone die on my watch without unforeseen circumstances (accidental aggro during a fight, etc.), the only time I ever had problem was when fresh 50s would be undergeared for HMs. It was such a breeze. I actually kind of wanna try healing again on that char just to be actually CHALLENGED.

NOW, I have switched servers (playing with RL friends) and have gotten my Shadow up to lvl 42 (Balance/Madness spec). On this character I have been pretty much doing exclusively PvP. I gotta tell you guys, 1.2 hasn't done much to healers in WZs that I can tell (pre-50 WZs). Perhaps it's my teammates that disregard the target markers above healers' heads. I go 1v1 against a mid-to-high level Sorcerer/Operative/Mercenary..... I can't kill them fast enough to avoid getting ganked by his spawning teammates that come to rescue him. Sorcs are STILL the worst, my god I wanna punch a baby when I go against these guys.

I start attacking the Sorc -> Static Barrier -> Dark Heal -> Dark Heal, I use my Interrupt) -> Dark Infusion, I use Force Stun, lasts 4 seconds -> Dark Infusion, I use Force Lift, which results in his Resolve Bar filling 100% -> Static Barrier -> Dark Heal (no longer interrupted, and my interrupt is still on cooldown) -> Overload, I get knocked back -> Dark Heal -> his Marauder teammate spawns and proceeds to make mince meat out of me while the Sorc is STILL SELF-HEALING.

I don't have much of a problem with Healers, that's usually my preferred class in MMOs/RPGs, but MY GOD does this game have a SERIOUS problem with Self-Healing. I know that while they;re self-healing they're not really contributing to the team while I'm working them, but it's like treading through molasses! Not to mention if NOBODY ELSE decides to attack the marked healer, they can keep their whole team alive, and they get an easy Win

  8. It's horrid in the warzones and I can't understand why Bioware is not getting that tens of thousands of players are REALLY ANGRY at the crap being thrown at them and then they wonder why they are getting such a pushback.

Again, we are doubly nerfed - sorry but it's not running it into the ground if it isn't fixed - only something that is over can be overdone.

Bioware you said to post our issues here but you aren't listening any more than you are from in-game tickets - not in the least.

We PAY for this game, we don't want to feel like we can't do a single thing with our healers - and they are NOT meant to DPS - that's a crock of crap that I just will not accept. Healing is important AND special among talents and I've NEVER been able to heal before but I could pre-1.2 - now I am worse than the worst player in the game with a nerf.

For me, with rheumatoid arthritis at 50, you just made it impossible to play a healer AND made it impossible to have fun with a character I finally understood, past tense.

You suck beyond belief for boosting others and nerfing US.

  9. Sorry, I disagree. They have significantly narrowed the performance gap between hybrid and tk/balance. Sure, everybody wanted TK/Balance to be buffed instead of nerfing hybrid, but effectively what was about a 6% difference has been cut in half.

I think public data presented in combat logs will prove this out in the coming weeks, but I think only the best players or robots will be able to reap an appreciable performance difference between the three specs. This allows players to choose their playstyle instead of being railroaded into a single spec because it is clearly the "best"

I'd encourage dps sages give this article a gander:

    http://mmo-mechanics.com/news.php?article=sorcerer-sage-dps-compendium-updated#VI

Whether Sage DPS is viable in comparison to other DPS classes is an entirely different story......

What most are worried about it healing, not DPS. DPS didn't take the hit like healing did - and I've already seen a huge amount of anger from all over the web about healing not able to be done at all now in warzones.

  10. Just a thought Bioware, maybe if you change a CLASS so much you should allow them to RECLASSIFY all the way back before they chose an advanced class.

So far I can't find a viable PvP spec that I can use when I am REALLY used to and love healing.

The cost to respec is out of this world so I'd like to get this right.

I don't know about everyone else, but the people on my server are telling me that ONLY the points that were in IRRELEVANT trees were reset, mine were all reset - I have no idea how to respec and I don't learn "new" things easily - it took me over six months to get used to the new WOW after being gone from it for four years - I had been a beta tester before it went live.

Please, if you have nothing to add that is positive take it elsewhere, many of us are getting enough on our servers asking for clarification and of course, this early there is little to be had except for those who are just plain experts - that I will never be, my math is just not there.

    Thanks!

  11. I agree, even those of us who arent exactly new have been thrown a curve... This isn't WOW where we can just pick up somewhere and go on, they wiped out ALL of my points - and some are saying that only those points that didn't fit the trees were refunded...

    Talk about confusing.

    Builds and rotations needed!

I am PVP heavy with questing second - I do no PvE :)

  12. Where are the forums Bioware? No matter what I do or what browser I use it's just not there.

What is going on and why no status for the FORUMS being DOWN?

NOW the reason I came in here was to beg you to let us CHOOSE which warzone we go into. I HATE Huttball! I can't play it as well as the other two and we certainly need more warzones!
