  1. Phase two of transfers should be allowing free transfers to those of us that are left on the Origin servers to create some medium population servers. Simply close the transfers to the current Destination servers. Pick new Destination servers from the previous Origin servers. And allow the rest of those Origin servers the opportunity to transfer to those.

This will allow those (like me) that want more than 1 person on their server and less than the already overcrowded Destination servers an option to get what they wanted when they joined their servers (which were medium pop before, not dead) in the first place.

This will also allow BioWare the opportunity to close more servers as they become vacant.

Really, I don't want to be the only man left on my servers, but I really don't want to have to wait 45 min or more during prime time just to log in (and I'm sure there are others of a like mind).

What would be the point in them doing that? Why should they think that all the people who refused transfers the first time around all of a sudden accept them?

  2. Look past the narrow-sightedness of most people here, and you will find that not going to the Fatman is the better option. Mark my words, P5 will be stronger than Fatman in the end.

Yeah a sever filled with only those two lazy or two stupid to reroll months ago when the situation became obvious. Sounds like the makings of a great community.

  3. Yeah its the type of MMO that at most 500k people will want to play and thats being generous. Was the goal of Bioware to spend a bunch of money on a game that only star wars fanbois will play? They could have done that with a lot less money. The game did not and will not meet Bioware's intentions therefore its a failure. That a few people find it fun is irrelevant.
  4. No, because the community is terrible. Had a guild mate recently say that he would never leave TOR for another game no matter how much better the other game was because he loves star wars. I realized that this was the only type of player that was still playing this game and immediately un-subbed. People that apply this sort of reasoning to their decisions are incapable of being good players which means that deciding to continue to play this game would be accepting that I would be playing with horrible players and horrible humans.
  5. This really needs to be fixed. Can only get reliable q's for three hours on our server now. Not rerolling on another server.

There is a fix, its rerolling on another server. If you aren't willing to apply the fix then it must not be that big of a problem.

  6. A member of my guild leveled all his toons speed hacking full time. Got a week ban recently so just used another account that he had access to. In that time I think he got his friend almost a full bm suit.
  7. if they only put premade against premade then 1 or 2 teams will stomp the other teams and the other teams will just q solo since they will have a bigger chance of winning. The same 2 teams will face each other over and over until they get bored and quit.
  8. ok some definitions.

A hardcore player is someone that will do anything to maximize his play. This normally involves spending hours doing research outside of the game or spending 10 hours a week watching fraps of his own gameplay in order to optimize his UI.

A casual player finds it acceptable that the game was released without maximizing tools such as an ingame combat log or UI customazations but a hardcore player does not.

Hardcore players found a different game to be hardcore about shortly after hitting 50.

  9. Most people do not play MMO's for PVE of which this game excels at. They play for the pvp aspect of which this game sucks at. The proof of just how much the pvp sucks is reflected in the server populations.

beyond leveling, the pve in this game is aweful. Pve'rs realized this right away, and left long ago. that is why the server populations have been low for a long while now.

  10. Sorry, but the numbers just aren't with you there. In RIFT, if you wanted to level an alt, the only difference in the leveling process you could do is to go through Droughtlands instead of Iron Pines Peak. That makes leveling an alt only about 6% different.

In TOR, if you level an alt on the same faction, unique class story starts out at 60% of leveling, then slowly ramps down to 10% at 50. That's an average on the curve of almost 40% unique storyline overall. And if you do roll an alt on the other faction, it is 100% different. You will not repeat a single shred of content.

No one denies that leveling alts in SWTOR is better than leveling alts in other games. Unfortunately, having to level an alt because there is nothing else to do is aweful and making it less aweful doesn't change that its aweful.

  11. because no one wants to wait in a long line in order to play a game nor do they want to do the same wz over and over. No one cares about co-operating with their faction against other factions because this game is a complete failure as an MMO. The game is great at some things but being an MMO is not one of them
  12. It speculative for now, but it can be assumed that servers will be closed and the population annexed to other servers

No it can't be. the entire notion is actually rediculous. MMOs don't do this and SWTOR can't do this both for customer service and public relations reasons.

There are some people that are attached to their characters and to their servers. They don't care about the ppopulations and would quit if Bioware forced them to move. Additionally, they can never admit their game is failing so bad that they had to forcibly close servers.

  13. sounds like republic should have a huge advantage on your server. If republic formed a premade then imps would be facing a premade every time. Your failure seems like your fault more than biowares.
  14. i have a pvp set but i never bother to equip it when i join a warzone because this game is terrible and doesn't provide me a reasonable way to change gear sets. There is little incentive for me to put in the massive effort it takes to switch gear and survive longer since the game's outcome is probably going to be decided by whether or not i won the preform lottery anyways. If i am in a full pug then there we be no healers and so wearing pvp gear won't actually allow me to live longer by an amount that I would actually ever notice.
