Ive played competitive group PVP in mmo's since 2003, across many different games and i, as a veteran totally agree 100% with OP.
To add to the discussion, i also do not believe in a rating system for solo queuing, it IS the reason ranked 4's is practically dead. Casual players do not need a rating system, period. There has never been solo queue in mmo's that i am aware of, why start now? It doesnt work and kills "group" pvp, which in my mind is the whole point of an mmo.

The point of this thread is to differentiate stuns from real CC so people no longer conflate the two. Stuns are not designed for CC because they don't last long enough and are best used on a target you are already fighting. Crowd control is best used against secondary targets you are not fighting to take them out of the fight.
CC has been this way since I started playing MMOs. It's only come to include all movement impairing effects since SWTOR launched. Maybe players are just conflating movement impairing effects to CC? Movement impairing effects are not CC.

If you think there is nothing wrong with being able to kill people in a single stun then you need to re-educate yourself on how pvp is supposed to be competitive. Not who can spam their big bombs first with little to no counter-play.
eh you running around with no expertise or something cause 1 stun will not kill you unless you have at least 4-5 poeple on you and well you should die then anyway

I just got back to the game, and I have to say the pvp seems retardedly unbalanced in both 60 and low-rank lmao. The TTK is so fast it's not even enjoyable. Is there any word on them attempting to fix this?

Bolster has been fixed. Lowbie pvp is more than viable now....I have no idea what retarded cry wolf issue this particular OP is whinging about, although its likely the same old scenario in this situation. Eg. I died in pvp...therefore its not fair and broken...

Yes, as have we all. More times than we probably care to admit. Bt you know what, when you get a ridiculous amount of XP for those "crappy story quests", I start to think of them as a long line of dailies and not story mode. The problem with story mode is that sometimes it takes you longer to travel back and forth from the quest area than it does to actually do the quest. It is times like those you really wish you had a speeder that did 200% speed.
And speaking of which, when are we going to see another speed boost to travel? 110% is so level 50.
