whats going on gents, i wasn't going to make a pub list but seeing as though most of the pub legends of my day are gone, save ivan and cielo it seems! god i never want to deal with cielo again. Hey! heres my imp list, opinion based right?!
Cielo mainly playing his sorc... named CIelo on POT5.
I feel like to be "best duelist" you need to be consistently good across a variety of classes/specs....that would make sense....right?I was going to say I was the best Dualist... but I see what you did there.
Then again I only two boxed for pve. -
On a completely unrelated topic, I saw an old guy from Corellian Run on today Pockethealer... I think really on Cielo and a few others mainly on imp side would recognise him as he quit because of work before sever merge... good to see a few people coming back.

TLDR
With that said, I'm going to end with a shout-out to the handful of objective-minded players that still play this game. These are the players that plug any gaps in their team or create/exploit openings in the other team, the play-makers that create capping opportunities for their teammates, or even the players that check their mini-maps and ops frames to see where they need to reinforce.
There are very few objective minded people left... sometimes Cielo and I won't even try to win wzs (on Shadowlands because well we try to teach some of the others lessons). I normally try to go to the safe node if I don't see people head that way, but not 100% of the time, get boring taking and guarding the off node in 4 consecutive warzones and finding out all the leet players in mid can't kill one healer because they:
(a) can't hit buttons
(b) fill the resolve bar too quickly with healer at 80-100%
© dont have interupt bound
(d) are more interested in farming stats by aoeing on the groups while putting very little pressure on the healers
(e) any combination of the above

Hehe you too! I haven't quit this time just my lil guy is on the east coast with me. I want to enjoy every moment I can.

TL;dr - Is anyone else now considering quitting this game?
I am quitting the game soon not because I don't enjoy it just I spent too much time on here. I have found myself playing BG2EE and other odd games more now than I used to and spending more time at work.
I heard solo ranked is pretty good on pot5Sommnax I am moving my jugg over there to pvp some ranked with Cielo who moved his sorc over there prior to me quitting, well unsubbing I may sometimes still log in.
And Daedrage, who I have only ever seen in one wz EVER... the fact that it is popping means it is better than it is on our side, there hasn't been many ranked pops the last week, and I can tell that even by the fact I was in Thailand for the last 2 weeks... not a good sign!

I don't think Imps are dominating as much as you claim they are on this server. Tuesday was probably the worst I've ever raged while playing my imp toons. I had a much better night when I moved to my pubs. So its back and forth.
Yeah I dont think imps overall dominate, maybe in group ranked at the moment. But some pub teams are being rebuilt, and some pubs returned back because POT5 was horrible for SOLO ranked.
On a side note when people complain about they lost the last 20 matches... or whatever unless you are really unlucky the only thing that should have been consistent between those matches is you:p

To be honest I think we broke it from a ranked arena match, I apologized to the 2 geared toons on the other side, who are both good pvpers and geared... then server crash before we finished off the marauder (on my screen). I think the server did not like us feeling sorry for the 2 good pvpers queued with the bad.

I was wondering if there are any PVP guilds that help people learn how to PVP. I have a few toons (one 55) and decided to start pvping on a lower level character (18) I am looking for a PVP guild that can help me learn the ropes. Appreciate any response and help.
I think the only guilds that are really PVP heavy are Eternal and PVPness, not sure how they are with taking new members. Wook has a lot of PVPers, Undercon has a lot of PVPers so does SHADOWED, BMU has a small amount... then you have the hardcore PVP guilds like Infinite Darkness and Invalid Target (hard to get into that guild now:eek:).

When I get 2 sorcs, 2 mercs vs 3-4 warriors it feels pretty random,
What i meant was sometimes you get comps that work well together but most times you don't. If you get a sorc healer and the other team has an OP for example. The skill matching seems no where to be found, maybe after more people establish rating.
KFT, and DS are mostly trying to do 4s, I see the occasional imp guild like veritas and ten inches. Haven't seen a pub team since the day of reset.
I get the draw of solo for comm farming but it is usually not very competitve, can only really use the most basic strats (kill that guy) combine that with the faction split (seems way more pubs que) and 1/4 matches seems to get a d/c for me.

Actually seen a few KFT, DS (both Death Sentence and Death Smile), and others queuing... actually the top marauder is from Unconquered how long he stays up top remains to be seen. To be honest beaten a lot of teams when they had op healer vs us with sage or trooper... just need to play to your teams advantages and hopefully people can listen to written instructions.

For 2.4 I have changed some of the rules for posting your guild progression. As always, I am open to suggestions and questions at any time. Feel free to PM me or find me on The Shadowlands.
If you need to get ahold of me in game the spelling is Keiki with alt 0237 for both i's on Imperial side and Candy with alt 128 for the C on Republic. Yes, I know you hate alt codes. I tried doing the name change for a while it drove me crazy to have a different name.
Now lets get to the good stuff.
** I trust everyone posting to be truthful and as accurate as possible, but I rely on everyone that uses this progression thread to help me ensure no mistakes or invalid credit are given. **

2. Screenshots of boss kills should be unedited, clearly showing the in game clock and ops frame, in the instance at time of kill, and show proof of kill and difficulty. Screenshots of either the Achievement with the loot mob visible (the one with the big purple line going up) or show a screenshot of the loot itself. ** Boss fights with only 1 "named" boss can still be updated by showing a screenshot of the achievement or of your achievement window but it must be in the instance with the ops frame visible at the time of the kill. AKA don't screenshot me your achievement window the day after while standing at the GTN on fleet.

On a side note shout out to the only imps I remmeber going against in the last 48 hrs Vanyera and Evilharisonford.
On a side note solo ranked is sometimes ridiculously easy, sometimes ridicuously hard... and quite often ridiculously random and quite enjoyable.

but solo queue really does mean nothing
Random groups, random compositions, and random skill levels =/= competitive matches
and on this server its super easy to queue sync
Actually random composition not so much. They match dps vs dps, healer vs healer and tank vs tank... that being said people with a hybrid vanguard/powertech that can guard can give a distinct advantage.
To be honest most of the best games I went against was against the guys who I would be wanting to queu with. I think I went up against Cielo 10+ times today, against Katez like 5 times, against Tae, Urbanmeyer, Artaio... those were the better matches.
To be honest solo ranked will be as good as the people who embrace it and unfortunately not many are embracing it right now:( and that makes me a SAAAD PANDA:eek:
So where are the imps, I only seen Harison and a few others, are you queuing ranked group?

Shout out to a certain operative for calling out they were going to win the voidstar on kills after they had more kills than our team when they were on offence.
We ended up capping in around 2-3 mins. Only thing I wish we had of done was just left it to win on kills as we were burning them up very quickly when they were on defence. Now days a lot i will go and guard our node of hang back when it is clearly a whitewash (in our favour), but that really did rile me up a bit, hard to do that outside of people doing foolishness in pve now days:eek:

Is there anyone willing to form a new hardcore pub pvp guild that plays and practice regularly? I just can't take this losing streak against imp premades and healers anymore. I moved back into this server because when I left Corellian Run, pubs were doing well against imps. Now nearly all of those hardcore pub pvpers from Corellian Run are gone. And imp premades practically own this server.
I acknowledge that every pvp guild has a right to run premades. But there are just too many more imp premades than there are pub. Imps got more hardcore pvpers than we pubs do. Moreover some pub pvpers are just part-time pub players from the imp side. Lunchbox, Mexican Cleaning Ladies, Death Smile, or even some members of Undercon are imp players playing on pub side part time.
I wish we had a guild like Invalid Target from Corellian Run, a strong dedicated hardcore pub pvp guild that can balance out the imp premades. Right now, it is unbearable.
There are several guilds that would go up very well 4 vs 4 with best vs best. The problem comes down to a lot of the time in 8mans... who was the worst second 4. There are several premades on the pub side running around that I would rather get grouped with pugs than with them, I am sure the same may be true on the imp side too.
The problem is with 4 man premade or 2 man premade and a bunch of randoms, do you leave one of your 4 good players to guard an off node? Knowing that you can't not have them in middle with the others around. Do you play to win or play to have fun. I like to win, as do some of the people I run with but you need to remember having fun is part of the game too, I am sure I have seen DS, KFT and CAE do it, but sometimes I and people I queu with don't try to win when the other 4-6 players in the warzone on our team, want to be at the node with the action and contribute SFA. It happens, remember there is no non-ranked warzone rank, you do it for fun.
PS I take more damage in warzones than everyone else because I am bad, squishy, line of sight healers and constantly chase the tank, and do not have my interupt bound to a button... not because people focus me.

I have to say my poor scoundrel healers bottom is still sore from that Ancient Hypergate a few days ago when I think it was 3-4 CTRL ALT ELITE, and 3-4 KFT... I believe there was 1-2 pugs. There was 5-6 smash on their side and a power tech and sniper... our guys kept on running in one at a time while me and a friend were running for our lives (while trying to get my 360k healing medal ofcourse)
So I believe the answer is yes we can not withstand smash of that magnitude:eek:

Yeah they were popping good, I am sorry for the team who lost that orbital station 2-0 and then had to endure a third round... fortunately it kicked us out half way into round 4.
BTW I felt total noobish when I realized I was in soresu stance for the first 2 arenas.
Remember I should be your lowest priority in arenas:)

I have just started playing SWTOR more seriously the last couple weeks and am still learning the ropes... I have a lvl 34ish Sith Marauder, a lvl 20ish Republic Commando and a lvl 9ish Sentinal. I am looking for a guild(s) to join. I am 33 and would kinda like a group who enjoy intellectual conversation in addition to geeky stuff. I am a fairly casual player and might take a month or so hiatus while I play another game for a bit but am pretty dedicated when I am playing the game. Any one have any suggestions?
I think you lost most guilds at intellectual. To be honest, for instance in my guilds mumble the last few days we have discussed:
1. Miley Cyrus's new Video
2. Beaver Zombies movie... however the Canadian who was talking about it made it sound like it was called Beavers on Bees
If you wanted an active and helpful guild there are many on both sides.

On a side not Oleli still plays too but he mainly plays on lowbies or his scoundrel...
Cal from Remnant of Jedi has a toon on this server but was only doing ranked, it stopped popping and I stopped seeing him.
Andov sometimes logs in once every blue moon as long as he is not fighting crime with his mother.
