  1. Got my first three pieces, and I am hugely disappointed. Thought it was a set one could use for leveling. Which it kinda is, but then again it's terrible cause one has to change the freaking Mod and Enhancement slots ALL the time while leveling. It's great it's Legacy bound, it's great it has bonus to XP for leveling, but it's freaking useless, cause I do not want to sit and replace mod and enhancement ALL the time while leveling, I just do heroics solo while leveling and get far better gear. Better gear means I kill faster, means I level faster, so screw this bonus to xp, this set to me is worthless. thx, Bioware for screwing up a Legacy Armor set that could have been amazing.

Perhaps they will produce scaling Legacy mods in the future. To be fair though, the suit only mentioned the EXP bonus, nothing else.

  2. Guys,

I have just started with my IA, Operative. Want some expert advise on the specs.

I was thinking to make a hybrid Healing/Lethality. Something like 18/0/23. Also to let you know I do PVE a lot but the reason for this build is PVP. I know I am not a PVPer but it's high time I give it a chance before I call it a day.

I am also tempted for a Healing/Concealment build, because I am enjoying the Shiv , backstab.Although it is too early for me to judge.

    So any suggestion is welcomed.

Why not post a few builds so we can comment on them.

  3. If you are playing the game regularly (as in daily), subscribing is a no brainer. However if you are playing the game casually (once or twice a week), then it becomes questionable as whether to you should stay subbed or not. If Bioware wants to retain more casual players as subscribers, then they should ante up.
  4. First off, you can't use the false advertisement on this because you got what you paid for with your money and used what you bought to get the pack. the false advertising law could only be applied to the cartel coins not what you buy with those coins. secondly, the word "pack" refers to the pool of items that you can receive from buying and opening one of the items. It does NOT refer to the actual item you are buying, but the general pack pool itself.

The Necro is strong in this one...

  5. Well, wait. This was specifically done to address the issue that subscribers don't feel all that special compared to FtP or Premium players. Is this a one time grant, or will subscribers now get 1000 Cartel coins a month? If there will be a permanent CC increase, and prices in the shop stay as they are, then I say that is certainly a very generous and effective way to show your appreciation to your customers.

If not, I can't help but think that this whole think was kind of rushed together.

  6. The entitlement is unbelievable, i demand to play this hundred million dollar game because I"m awesome.

Put your head in a bucket of cold water and cool off.

I have worked in business all of my life. Some people just will not pay. And a portion of those will complain about that. Once you understand that, you can just ignore them.

  7. I think it's funny how everyone is like "they're borrowing from GW2!" and "they're totally borrowing this from WoW!" and "they're totally borrowing this from DCUO!" Welcome to MMOs, where there is nothing new under the sun. :D

Hey, if someone improves on something, I say take advantage of it!

  8. I wonder what the role neutral flashpoints. does it mean that a party of 4 DPSers would be viable for it?

Also, new daily zone is cool, especially with all new environment, I was expecting a new zone on old planet, like Section x or Black Hole.

New Reputation to grind is always great, I hope there will be some macrobinocular/seeker missions attached to it.

Damn, looks I will have to install PTS again to check it all out :D

Sounds like they are borrowing from DC Universe Online, which can only be a good thing. Basically DCUO "roles" similar to SWTOR, but as it is a superhero MMO, not everyone wants to "Tank" or Heal". All character's have a Primary role as a Tank, Healer, or Controller, and can always switch to a DPS role as well. Many players prefer to stay in DPS mode, and it is not uncommon to run instanced combat with mainly DPS characters.

What I suspect SWTOR is specifically borrowing from SWTOR, is the mechanic that buffs the characters, if a role is lacking within the party. For example, if you don't have a healer, all in combat regeneration is increased. It might be slightly harder to do the flashpoint, but a good group of players will be able to punch through it.

    I can't wait for it!

  9. Until the next patch update, unless it states that it is a permanent reduction. Normally they include this in the patch notes, but the Noble Armor set that was previously on sale did not receive a note prior to yesterday's patch so be careful. Basically if you want it I'd suggest buying it before the next patch hits.
  10. I think it could use more than a few improvements, but yes, it is a good thing. It is keeping the game alive plus some, as it allows fans of the game to spend more than their subscription fee each month, and therefore pay for some of the FTP players that don't spend money in the cash shop. That being said, here is what I'd like to see improved:

    1) Less expensive Cartel Packs

Personally, I find $3.20 a bit much considering what you get in the cartel packs. I'd perhaps cut down on the items and skill them for $1, which is what I'm used to paying for lockboxes. I would buy more packs if they were more affordable.

    2) More convenience type items. I like the holostatues that allow you to train or sell, and I would be willing to buy more items like that, if they were made available to purchase in the shop. For example, some sort of beacon that allowed you to teleport directly to your ship, on like a cool down.

    3) More iconic styles. I think the developers have to walk a fine line between releasing too many styles in the Cartel shop, and providing additional styles in game for free. Personally, I think that the cartel styles should be more iconic-styles we have seen before from the movies and comics.

  11. You have to purchase the sets through the GTN. They are no longer sold from actual vendors. :/

I didn't even realize you could could buy PvP gear on the GTN. If I complete the set, will it be added to my collection? Not sure if the PvP gear does that...

  12. Hi Everyone!

Just came back after a long break, and I'm trying to complete my level 50 PvP set for aesthetic purposes, but can't find a "Classic PvP Vendor" on fleet. I only need the gloves, is there anywhere I can find them?
