I finished a pvp and earned enough commendations to buy a Champions bag. In the Champion Bag I received "Champion Frontline Force" . I saw this really good Saber and I thought myself, "Let me pick it". I went to equip it and the Saber is an offhand saber. What an epic fail. It's completely useless to me know. Next time I'm going to read the item before getting overly excited and choosing it without reading the description.

Nope. Should not and will not until premades are in their own queue and only play vs other premades. Sorry I don't find being down 5-0 in huttball and being farmed for kills 5 mins fun.
Honestly there are just not alot of good people >_>..
I have rolled solo, vs a premade actually (and my team was ALL PUGS) And we rolled them 6-0 lol..
That happens alot.. However I'm a fully geared tank that can grab the ball and /lol at everyone else.. and can easily carry a team of huttball alone, the other games however, i cannot. lol.

I agree, 5 some years to get T1/T2/T3 armor.. that.. looks.. the..same.. just diff color?..
and for example. ASSASSIN's and SORC's.. are the SAME armor... ? I mean..really?...

I play assassin, and been having the same problem. Its not just buffs though, it seems to be any random ability. Like you said, just doesnt fire off.
Same here, i'm an assassin..
And yeah, like it seems if i hit to many keybinds to quickly for the game it freaks out and i cant hit ANYTHING for 5-10 seconds...
It's horrid when you are PvPing and its like "LOLOL YOU CANT HIT FORCE SPEED GG"...
Sigh... Glitched game is glitched.

You have every right to be, its a bad system.
All i have to say is

Just grind it out. Do your dailies and weeklies. You will eventually get gear. It took me 2 weeks as a fresh 50 to get all but 2 of my champion gear pieces. The grind sucked. Oh did it suck. Getting enough comms for that bag and having your heart sink when once again...no item. Just play for a few weeks and stick to it! You aren't gonna get that gear coming here and complaining. Want to know a great thing to do while grinding that gear? Level biochem/bioanalysis/diplomacy. Biochem will grant you a perm buff, a reuseable medpack, and a 15 seconds of awesomeness adrenal. By them time you get this leveled up, you will have more champ gear and hey! You start getting a strategy down and can kill people!
I know the rng sucks...but it is what it is at the moment. If you want to pvp at 50 you have to tough it out. If you keep at it, you'll get that gear. Don't give up!
Just trying to spread a little hope in these grim forums.
took me 3-4 weeks of getting my dailies done, my weeklys done, AND farming 3 bags on average if not 4-5 a DAY...
And I STILL AM MISSING 2 PEACES.
RNG is bull. GG.

Doesnt help if you cant ever kill anybody.
Damage/Hp/Healing buff based on a % of how out numbered you are or faction population caps are the only way at this point.
Going to check out RIFT again this weekend, gave me 3 free days.... WARs adding relics/forts...
WoW did this for the wintergrasp PvP zone - It worked nicely, there were level 80's on the alliance side running around with like 80-100k hp and 1 shotting people lol... granted there was like.. 5 of them.. maybe.. and like 40 horde..
So they had fun though, 1 shotting people, but then they would get piled by 20+ horde and die.. but still.. more fun then 5 vs 40

Why are people calling for Roll Backs? I understand that apparently there were people exploiting in Ilum. How does that effect you if you were not exploiting? What difference does it make to you if they were exploiting? The only thing to really do here is take action against those who did exploit. The only problem I see with that is the scope of people exploiting was pretty great.
I don't really care if they rollback or not. It doesn't effect me.
What today did:
1) Hopefully, BioWare learned a lesson. Don't do anything without TESTING first on a massive scale, that's what the test servers are for.
2) Gave some people massive Valor (?), which doesn't really effect people who weren't doing it.
3) Gave people the level 50 brackets they've been crying for for a month now.
BioWare, if you really want advice, stop listening to posts on forums. Recruit a good group of players to give their opinion of things, use your BETA list to select at random. Most people want to help make this game good. You guys have a good foundation just on the fact that it's Star War. Throw in the voice acting and the other things that you guys have brought to the table and this game will be around for a LONG time.
Stop trying to match what other games have done and think outside the box.
The pink part there made me laugh SOOOOOOOOOOOO HARDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

There definately should NOT be a roll back.
Just cause maybe 100 people have abused this, should not mean another 250k, even over 1 million players, should suffer.
Thats just crazy.
I say, good bye to you who is crying.
I understand the hard anger, for sure.
But the best way the dev team can do, is to track people who have gained massive gains of valor through abuse and just ban or reset them to 0.
No point trying to figure out where they where, just rest to 0.
If a player is going from valor 20 to 60 even 100 in a few hours, which IS the case, then they should be banned or have it fully reset.
For the people that want to cancel: You do this cause you fought hard for your gear, I understand. But the main reason is cause you wont be allowed to be king of the hill and be the strongest there is, for very long.
The pure hardcore pvpers out there are playing alot, but they will keep going without much word. They dont care.
If you want to pwn lvl 20s in your champion gear and is now pissed cause imps or reps can do the same, but much faster...then you should go somewhere else anyway, you wont be missed.
This will be fixed, Im sure. Gaves response reaks of ignorance, agreed, but the utter riot thats going on is just extremly childish. And I for one, prefer that attitude to go back to where it came from, in most cases WoW. And that door is that way.

I play a sorcerer and can say your pretty much spot on. It stays about the same, and no you wont be getting that 5k single heal medal when your 50. 1 decent dps will always be able to solo you if they know which heal to interrupt. Most of us think the 30% debuff needs to go.
lol - for one don't just stand still and let people kill you.. use your skills, create space between the enemy, slow them down, LOS them, get heals off.. its not hard.
And yes, with gear, you WILL get that 5k single heal.

Agreed , the fleet imperial fleet is pack constantly, even late at night and I'm talking around 2 3 am in the morning.
ok .. so ONE POINT .. The fleet is the M A I N City where 50's go to afk or do trades.. >_>..
So yes, ONLY our main city is packed.
So hey, to make the masses on this thread happy, i will re-tract my statement about not seeing much people.

You have no idea what "a lot" is. In other words you're completely devoid of any comparison. I launched WoW, EQ2, SWG, LoTRO (Good launch btw), Rift and a half dozen other MMOs. TOR is not nearly close to the list of bad launches or buggy games a month after. EQ2 had major roll backs on servers where people lost levels, WoW had days where the servers were down and weeks where the game was unplayable at times.
Both games survived and thrived. TOR will too.

And I was there for the launch of WoW and SWG - (not the others) But still..
This is a NEW game, not WoW 7 years ago, not SWG forever ago...
Although, I know ALL no matter when or where ALL games WILL have problems, (MMO) But still, there are quite a lot of glitches / bugs take into consideration all the SMALL bugs.. i'm not just talking game breaking oh noessssss bugs.. i'm talking all the small just "are you serious, these are STILL here"
and the bugs that were in beta for MONTHSSSSSSSS And were NOT FIXED?!?! WHAT!??!..
Oh, and the fact that they had the High-Res Textures in beta, but not on live? Oh, and here, a small bug example... IN THE B E T A "follow" worked, It worked extremely well.. Now after 10 seconds it breaks and does not work on live? GG.

The fact that they announced the patch before it was ready suggests that management is panicy or very nervous about the state of the game.

People whine about maintenance week after week and they didn't do it one week and that is a bad thing?

Also, YES get the bugs out of the patch, but don't make an announcement about it, and blah blah, UNTILL ITS DONE.

I was worried around level 20 or so when I was questing and realized that I hadn't seen another player in hours despite being on a heavy server.
Definitely did not feel like the *massively multiplayer* game it was advertised as.
MMOs are about socializing and interacting with the server community. *Not* shutting yourself off from the world in a story instance.
This aswell...
I sometimes stroll around as level 50 to the other planets checking things out, helping people, you name it..
But hell, even on a heavy pop sometimes FULL pop server, i seen, 150 people on a planet? and even then they are so large I only "SEE" a few?..
The instances I believe are 200 right?.. I think they should at the least be doubled.. try to show that there really are people around.

don't like it? don't renew subscription. end of story.
if it wasn't for the guild i made and the people in it, i'd cancel subscription and come back in 6 month...

What's harsh is repair at 50.
Wipe 6 times= 20,000 credits.
But I'm glad for it. So tired of WoW and it's trivial, kiddy arcade crap.

Well, as the title says, I'm finally getting worried about SWTOR.. :/
Yeah, there have been ALOT of bugs / glitches / things that really should have never made it into a live version of a game.
But hey, it's only what, a month out almost now? a lil over that if you include early access? So that's all good, right? yeah.
But now, last week they did not even do maintenance? Kay - Now this week they ya know announced ya! the patch is coming NOW yay!!..
And yet again, no maintenance OR patch.. "Delayed a few days"..
This is just NOT looking good so far, these kinds of things just.. Don't shout HEY LOOK AT US! WE ARE DOING GREAT HERE!..
It looks sloppy, yeah sure some people were happy no maintenance last week, but still it's.. odd?
And now no patch? How about they DO NOT ANNOUNCE that "YES! IT IS COMING!" When they are not even sure if it's fully ready?..
Was hoping that AFTER launch, ya know, after they pushed it out early with far to many things still wrong, that MAYBE they would take there time and make up for it and push out great updates. Eh.

I noticed each time you die, it takes longer to respawn if you decide to revive at the same spot you died at. Most of the time, the medcenters are too far away especially on tatooine and you don't want to fight your way back since the respwn rate from mobs are also quick.
The mission completion credit reward sometimes barely covers the credits to repair your gear. And when finally we had some open world pvp on tatooine, the battle didnt last long probably because of the reasons I just stated.
I love it this way, SWTOR made sure repeated camping and assaulting doesn't take it to another level. Compared to WoW, it's a harsh system. I remember in WoW it takes a few seconds after death to join an ongoing battle anywhere in the world.
I think we can say SWTOR is a little harsher than WoW in this regard. Don't you think?
Oh also, no dura lost in pvp (even open world)

I'd like to see it capped at 5... at least of the same item.
I'm aware that 'controlling the market' is a good way to make currency; but it just ruins my game play. It's no longer competition- its extortion! Sick of needing 1 extra only to see somebody bought up all of it and repriced it for 10x its realistic value.
Sure- I don't have to buy it... but I don't have to play this game either.
Do you think if I can get 100K folks to whine about this... I can get the cap lowered even more? Would that drive you away?
