  1. This is an awesome idea. I wish they did cross server GSF to help the queue pops.

    I wouldn't call myself an ace, but I have learned how to fly, pretty decent with the scout. The main advice I can give anyone is to spend those points on upgrades. When you first start you will find it difficult to get kills, but as you upgrade your engines, weapons, and shield you'll start feeling like you're contributing something.

     

    As a scout pilot, I love to fly in close to the fray and then try to get some of them to follow me for close fast flybys of tight quarter areas to make the other team self-destruct or lead them to a group of my own team. That works great for both types of matches as there are always greedy pilots on the other team that wants to chase the solo pilot. I tend now to end up in the top half of the board at the end of a match, and given that I don't spend a lot of time killing directly or capping points, I find my placement to be rather satisfying.

  2. Ok here's the deal, this is complete and total crap. This happens every f'ing time that you do a patch how about test the f'ing thing BEFORE forcing it on us to test for you? I pay a monthly subscription to play this game, you are basically going to end up telling me that in order to fix the goddam problem that I'm going to have to waste another 12 to 14 hours of downloading and patching just to play again, and what the f*** do you do for us? Not a goddam thing. I left this game before because of your crappy customer service and issues, came back to something has hopefully been fixed, but instead every goddam time you do a patch I have to sit and trouble shoot the f'ing thing for you because you're too goddam lazy to make sure that the product is ready for release. FIX YOUR *********** GAME
  3. Still as of today 2/24, I have yet to receive the email. I check my junk mail daily, it has not been there, if I get something from a newsletter that I subscribe to in my junk mail, I move it to my main inbox. It is not there. I have received all of my previous newsletters, I received my cartel coin grants for my sub email, I have never had an issue receiving an email until it comes to something that you are going to give free. So today I go to the support site and I read that codes will not be replaced? ***?? You guys screw up and you won't fix it even with the number of customers that have not received their email, this is absolutely ludicrous and beyond shameful.
  4. I am sorry for those who are still having this issue. I was finally able to complete the patch and am about to log in. I hope that the rest of you get it working as well, thank you for your support and all of the suggestions to try to make it work.

    I am seeing two issues raised in this thread, here are the issues and their solution:

    • Error 310 - If you are getting error 310, please completely restart your launcher. If this doesn't resolve, wait a bit and try again. This issue will resolve itself in time.
    • Slow download - If you are experiencing a slow download, please just let it finish, even if it is going slow.

    These issues are a side effect of our external network issues from this morning.

    While I appreciate finally receiving an answer from you (or anyone in Bioware) this is an issue that perhaps should be posted on the support boards, I checked there first, I saw nothing whatsoever regarding error 310, if I had seen something there regarding this specific error I would not have bothered starting this thread and instead would have been in someone else's thread pointing them in the direction to look for the answer.

  6. Ok running the continuous ping and hitting the pause then play finally has me downloading and just flipped to installing asset 225, I'll let you know if I run into any other issues.

     

    open search bar type "cmd" click on the command prompt then copy and paste "ping Launchpad.swtor.com -t" without the quotations. Close and restart the client and see if it works for you.

  7. Getting a lot of ping timeouts, something isn't right. It's possible their content network's ISP is having issues.

     

    Absolutely possible, and if this is the case then they should make us aware that there is nothing they can do. I just did a restart on my computer and am attempting again, I'll let you know what happens.

  8. Yeah, been having this problem all morning, I've restarted the launcher over and over, paused and restarted over and over, nothing fixes it. The server is just swamped to ****. Unless Bioware does anything, it's gonna be a swamped all night.

     

    If this is the case, then they could have the decency to answer this thread and let us know that it is what it is and there's nothing we can do about it. But until they answer or post something I have to assume that they are ignoring the issue and hoping that this small part of the player base having the issue unsubs and leaves.

  9. 2.07 GB left on mine - i've restarted once and nothing - play / pause does nothing either. Bumping this to keep it on top

     

    That's the reason that I keep giving a play by play even though there hasn't been anything that I can do to make it work.

  10. Repair completed. 707.67MB remaining (0.00KB/s) same error "Network error while downloading patch data. Retrying... (310) Going to try restarting client again and see what happens, but I'm about to give up.
  11. Restarting the launcher did the trick for me. (If you still have this problem try clicking on the pause / play button in the left corner should help.)

     

    Tried both multiple times, still no luck. My wife who is on the same internet connection was able to patch with no issues, so it is not our connection.

  12. I hardly even get started and the whole thing drops to zero. I also have no pause/play button on the screen as others do. Do others have this too?

     

    I have a pause/play button on the bottom left of the client. Pausing and restarting does not fix the issue
