  1. Thank you for the replies. I am a bit surprised about the 36 hours timer however. Is this about gold sellers and/or account hacking?

Edit: And well, we met 3 years ago in SWG, so everything's possible :)

Virtual or not - it's all about giving a little joy to someone. If we could not enjoy virtual things, we would not be playing, would we?

  2. Hi, just a quick question: Is it possible to gift the Ewok companion from the shop?

My girlfriend loves it and before I'm about to decide how to give it to her. Is the item bound to my char when I buy is or is there any way I can send it to her? If not, then I have to do it the unromantic way.

  3. Yeah, this strict distinction between the 2 factions is all too WOW like.

I have toons on both sides to see both sides of gameplay. It's a shame they are so separated from each other.

In SWG you could even switch faction if you wanted and it improved the game in a big way.

  4. Totally, How can you expect anyone to have fun if they aren't capable of proving they are the best at the game.

Totally agree, even if the thread is about something else.

However, having the best of the bestetest is not always necessary to be a good player.

I hate the "inspect" feauture in every MMO, it makes people arrogant if they see that someone is not equipped perfectly.

As long as the instance succeeds everything's fine, I don't care who has what. And failing sometimes can be fun as well, it's about learning tactics. In the battle gear vs. skill I personally chose the person with skill.

  5. Lightsaber colors were made so rare to distinguish players that have accomplished something.

You'll never see what I accomplished :D I'll stick to my yellow blade to the end of time. Yellow is the color I always wanted for my saber, even my saber in RL has a yellow blade.

I also don't need show off armor. In most games such armor looks a lot worse then most other armor, it's just shiny and bright.

Distinctivnes is cool, but not if it's forced upon people. DJs should be able to use blue crystals, as Jedi should be able to use red ones. If one does not want that for RP reasons, up to him. Others want it just because of that.

Give people a nice title for accomplishment, but don't make other players eyes hurt if they have to see the super-duper-purple-yellow-dancing-armor.

  6. @Op

    1. Because the game doesn't seem to be finished yet. Many things are bad which could have been corrected months ago

    2. because the game is not up-to-date: It has old gameplay mechanisms

    3. because aside from the main content there is not much to do. People knew this was not a sandbox game, but the expectations were higher anyway. As it is, the game content would have fit better into a single player game with coop support.

  7. Actually Luke's green crystal is artificial as well, he made it with Obi Wan's tools (Shadow of the Empire).

There is no absolute rule for red/blue/green. It's just a definition George Lucas made for the sake of it so they would look different.

Sith tend to use red ones because they want to distinguish themselves from the Jedi. However, Jedi, Dark Jedi, fallen Jedi and Sith use whatever they like.

I found it sad that in this game there is such a stupid distinction.

Well, I can't complain. My favorite color is yellow and that's neutral

  8. The problem is that you can get a cheap orange armor and some mods via commendations, and mail them to your alt.

I had the impression that all commendation equipment is bound on pickup. So there is no mailing, right?

Altering the commendation prices by 10 like suggested earlier would be more then stupid ... who has the time to gather 140 commendations for a level 25 lightsaber with the char he is playing? If the stuff would be tradeable then, high level players would farm low level areas all the time.

  9. The money payout for missions in this game is by far not high enough for one to afford a full set of crafted "blue" gear for his level along with training his abilities.

If that's not possible, why does the gear exist at all?

Only at high levels one can really "farm" his money. Once he finished learning and leveling, THEN he starts to gather money and then he can buy stuff all the time.

So I would suggest that the high end gear in the game should be crafted, yes. But high quality low level components as quest rewards are essential for playing.
