  1. When did this game ever cater or to be honest even care about raiders/ ops players? I literally was GM of SuckaFish when we were US/ World first. I can honestly tell you they never cared. Even when they actually put out operations back then (normally 2 a year). They were handful of bosses with simple strategies. I know we wrote the guides for EC, TFB, SnV, DF, DP. If you ever played a MMO that actually had a raid scene you would know top level bosses normally last a couple weeks before the top guilds take them down. I don't think any bosses lasted longer then a week. Maybe Soa because you had the grind to 50 and he was bugged to hell. Perfect example of how you know they don't care. Explosive Conflict came out for the first time in like May of 2012. The very first boss Toth and Zorn does a scream that does a stun. The stun "debuff" registered on the buff bar, so you could just right click it and continue without worrying about the mechanic. We reported the bug the first week, and they just fixed it in the last patch... I don't know who this Aowin guy is, he has a lot of half truths. But to say this game has no raid community is absolutely spot on. I remember the day we talked about it as a guild, we came to the conclusion they were never gonna do it justice and what ever this game will do; will be a half measure. Which is accurate forever thing in this game with the exception of the Cartel Market.

Top guilds in EQ, their GM's were hired by blizzard. Blizzard constantly reaches out to top guilds for thoughts, ideas, or just to congratulate them. Even LoTRO would reach out to their guilds. I couldn't of gotten an audience with anyone at Bioware. Because they don't care. Even PvPers have that silly rank board on their site, raiders never got anything near that. We got a "title." No cool gear, nothing. By the way people left after a month or 2 because there was absolutely nothing to do at end game. No story, half measured buggy pvp, a terrible game engine, and a buggy raid, that really wasn't much harder then a flashpoint.

The story they've put out since the original 8 is a funneled, predictable, and vanilla. By the way you're choices didn't really make a difference then either. It's the same complaints I read 5 years ago. I've just recently got caught up because I haven't played in roughly 3 years. It makes me happy I wasn't one of the people that paid a subscription each month for the new chapter. I even took my time and was done with all of SoR- whatever planet they just put out in roughly a weekend. It was worth the 15 bucks, not 15 for however many months waiting.

The only thing EA caters to is micro transaction players. That's it I applaud all of you who have been subscribed through out all these years. I mean seriously I need to know where you work because I want to work for you. Because with expectations like that I'll have job security for 40 years.

Am sorry if you're a current raider in this game. I know its a hard truth to come to but it's honest. To me nothing has changed in this game except the prices on the GTN. It's still a Star Wars skinned "The Sims." and hey if that's what you like am happy you have a game to play. Am just sorry that EA has an exclusive contract with Star Wars and we have only had 1 new Star Wars title since and outside of the sequel, I see nothing coming down the pipeline. This is what happens when major producers get their hands on things. They only care about matrix's and think that will pay the bills.

May the Force be with your free time

  2. Are people forgetting to add on the weeks of PTS practising when they look at the time to kill these bosses?

A few hours... plus 2 weeks of killing the exact same thing on PTS beforehand with infinite tries from multiple char copies.

I knew my positions and how each fight played out before I even logged in.

It was no different then other content that was put out. NIM SnV, and NiM TFB had the same PTR time, but they buffed bosses and changed minor things, and the content last for a good part of the week, not 3 hours.

  3. Gratz to Zorz,

This is the end of PvE Hardcore content all within hours of going live until 3.1/3.2 I assume September/October.

Real shame that my guys in DoB were unable to compete with the best guilds in the world this round with the TRE issues but we will send in what we have, unlike Drop it and Reckoning we managed to gain an 8man team into DP early on and even with the ridiculous lag they have killed some bosses and are fighting on as I type.

Would love for a PvE End game developer to actually read and comment to the most skilled players in the world on SWTOR and what fail content was released and why.

So from DoB it was a pleasure playing against you in this end game PvE content and much will change before the next NiM content is even a glimpse in the dev teams eyes and many here now may not be here when that time comes around.

So thanks for the challenges and the community at this level of skill on SWTOR.

    Later

    Sub

That's the problem though, they have NEVER cared about that community. They build something half assed and say here you go. The raid development team wouldn't know a good raid if it bite them. You wait 8 months and this is all you get? The reason the community is small and is getting smaller is because it lacks challenge. You would think they would take a lesson in history of how MMO's build popularity. I would dare them to come out and say something but I know their responds. And they will just keep alienating themselves from the MMO Community and will continue to survive on the fact they have lightsabers. Not gonna lie I got the itch, just glad the devs have showed me their commitment to the game with this latest bit of "content."

Nonetheless my hats off to Zorz, nicely done. It shows a good amount of commitment and talent. 3 hours, am pretty sure that's a record for this game.

Hey dev's be happy EA owns all Star Wars game right, if they didn't you might of had competition for a Star Wars MMO. Best of luck to the rest of the raid teams out there, and going forward. Had fun in the community till last year. But am out see you all in Wild Star.

  4. After reading the gear needed for the new operation, no offense unless they don't release it on the PTR then the progression of it is truly flawed cause any Hard Core guild has already geared their progression team FAR past whats need and can muscle their way through. So the progression will no kidding kinda suck cause it will be a matter of hours which honestly am sure most guilds will agree won't prove a thing and the world and us first will go to the team that goes in when the servers go up., and leaves us waiting till at least December to see a Nightmare mode. Forgive me for the lack of enthusiasm, nothing like killing the little competition the game supports
  5. We did invite the community to come and discuss the the spreadsheet. We were even ready to explain it. But no one showed, we even used a neutral mumble, not even a pm. Since you all seem to be the pros take it over like the man said, am sure he would be happy to turn it over to someone who wants to do it. And am sorry to say he who sets it up writes the rules. I mean really is it that big of a deal? I mean really who cares about the points anyways, first is first in the end. We know who the top guilds are. Don't worry it was a conspiracy against your guild to make you look bad smh.
  6. No, this is far from true. 16 man on some of these fights are ridiculous because of over tuning. Withering Horror, DG, Keph, TfB, Titan 6, and Trasher are all much harder in 16 man mode compared to 8 man mode. That is six bosses out of twelve in the two current ops that are more difficult in 16 man than 8. DPS check is lighter in 16 man mode, but mechanics hurt more, are buggy and tanks are always getting **** a metric ton of damage that range 75-125% more.

Actually we found WH no different in difficulty, and believe I heard Severity gaming 15 manned it so I don't understand how thats harder. TFB wasn't any harder either. Perhaps some better min maxing, and refining your skills is all you need. I have honestly NEVER seen an enrage timer on any 16 man boss, then again we normally go in there a little better geared then our we do on our 9 mans.

  7. Correlation is not causation.

Strange argument to bring up though, given that the most popular games on the market are generally considered dumbed down for casuals. It's clearly a rather successful strategy. (and no, I don't like it - I'm not a casual player at all).

If this were a solo game, I would love content as hard as pre-nerf DG. As it is, though, you need at least 7 other people to do ops, and most people have jobs and whatnot and simply don't have the time required to complete that level of difficulty. So for the sake of me ever doing such content, I'm happy it's easier. It's still bloody hard though. Anyone who says it isn't has a *very* unusual conception of difficulty.

You know it is NiM your suppose to be challenged, novel idea in todays games. its not like they put a ton of money into just the NiM Mode, you have story so you can do the encounters and you still have hard modes . They pushed their sliding bars over and added a mechanic or 2. So the money thing is meh. So am hearing a lot of whoa is me, gimme loot cause I deserve it for beating the payment boss, where is my medal for participation.

  8. You don't appear to realise how few people are like you. There are 12 confirmed kills of DG. That's it. That's not even 100 players. No company that wants to stay in business is going to create content that only 100 people ever see (ie everything past DG).

The fight is still far beyond the capabilities of at least 95% of the playerbase. It is hard by any reasonable definition of the word. If you don't find it hard, then you're just very unusual.

Really??? How many cleared Sunwell and Naxx 40 in comparison to the population? Last I check those were the 2 largest period of growth for Blizzard. And now that everyone can see the content, their population is steadily declining. History proves your theory wrong

  9. I support "Carlenux" . I'm on your side!!! :D

    And "Iggy"

This was a little bit arrogant or not!? Who do you think you are!?

Our fan is BACK!!! Did you come for a shirt? Tell me whats wrong with a little arrogance? I would think that he's the raid leader of a 4 time US first raid team :) along with the guy that volunteered to run the progression. Don't worry one of these days am sure you'll be able to catch up.

  10. You guys were so friendly on these forums for TFB progression and are so hostile now. You drove your big source of TFB drama from participating so you need someone new to fight with? :(

Everybody has their excuses to why they didn't clear something first. Why they weren't faster, or did it quicker... "we didn't do the ptr, we couldn't go in when the server comes up, our best players weren't around, i got stung by a bee, my goldfish died.

SuckaFish didn't because well for the 2nd time in a row we weren't the better team when it came to DiLiH. Just couldn't beat them. But it's not hard for me to say hey we weren't the better team and Congratulations to them. But I always have to listen to a slew of other teams whine about why they didn't keep up.

But it's ok, tell yourself whatever you need to in your voice chats, will shed no tears for ya, just like we hope no one sheds one for us for losing to Drop it Like it's Hoth (one of these days i'll beat the euro''s lol i'll have to recruit more ;) ) But mean time in between time we T shirts anyone? Collectors cups? How bout beach towels! Trying to find out what might sell :) Just learn to embrace the Sucka baby :)

  11. i have to agree with you on that, just speculating, i saw your stream after like 5 hours of wiping because guildie outside said you used a "different strat", saw u went straight for it, so assumed u guys got to enrage the night before, but with with achievement i notice u didnt, asked in thread, only answer someone gave me was that someone from SF was watching the streams :), exactly why i asked hoth not to post videos of the fight, so yeah i just assumed :), yet none of u have given me a straight answer"yes" or "no" just random stuff, so ill assume until then :)... also my whole point was the "Live Streams" not your kill, i didnt care about your kill, i pointed that out lol.

PD: I do like the opinion, and heres the answer for you: the fight has 2 ways to be done, either forming a raid group full of KBs like yours, or using normal raid group and having personal KBs... is one way or the other, if you have a better idea on how to do it with our group composition, we would love to try it :)

Well since you don't like to watch streams other then ours (thank you by the way, we hit an all time high, and are thinking of selling T shirts, let me know you'd like one ;) ) , it's nice to have a following. As to were we watching streams? Ya we watched streams, watched them on my phone as I was at work all day long. Infact when I first came home that night I was watching 4 different streams (Big Bang Theory was a rerun, I tell you I hate summer programing)

But we also did them on the PTR, as others we're still in TFB so we knew most of the fights ahead of time. And that lousy reddit you know always posting so many ways of doing fights. It's quite interesting, and in fact Ivaed did mention the night b4 on killing 2 at the same time. Though I would like to know who copyrighted that strategy, well am sure the same grapevine you guys use will give me tell me so I can pay the fees.

As for group comp it wasn't much different then most of our raid , we used a jugg tank for a few fights, and ran double marauder for a little bit, and brought in our merc healer since our other healer couldn't be around for the weekend. Swapped out some friendly on watchers, changed our normal mascot the squirrel to a goldfish, and I think we changed our milk man too, not sure I'll ask papa about that one, he normally deals with the milk man.

But don't worry will remember ya's when the PTR goes live again. We've yet to decide if we're going to participate on October the 1st', due to work, school you know the normal stuff. I don't see us taking time off to do a HM raid, am sure some new guild will sneak in as servers come on to claim victory. Perhaps on the next NiM you'll see us. But let me know on those shirts, and just wondering do you think selling our action figures would be going too far? :D

  12. Dont have to be so sensitive about everything, anyone say, specially when its true... right?... i just said u guys knew the strat from the stream, and not your fault, cus they were the ones streaming it, and i believe you took advantage from it ahead of us for styrak, simple, not taking any merit from other bosses or Styrak,... just a friendly comment on how i believe stream affects progression, theres no bitterness here, just an opinion, like, it or not :).

Just as a friendly side note. How would you know if we discussed it before hand if you weren't watching our strream, am sure the grapevine was in full blossom since the weekend. Your strategy is extremely similar to Hoths, and came a couple hours after the video came out. Now am not one to speculate what is said behind closed doors or what not am just making a simple observation. But it's just an opinion like it or not :)

  13. This is fairly interesting, conversation to hear people chime in on. I never realize so many exploits were in this game and how out raged some are. Tells me a lot about the some of the community of this game. Realize we are not disqualifying anyone nor have said you will provide a stream. I would like people to pay attention to that fact. There is no perfect way of doing anything we should all know that. And I realize there are a lot of different ways to do fights and am always happy to see how creative people are.

So would we say that, what ever the sniper trick is on Thrasher is comparable to say popping a Satele holotrainer to gain access to all your heroic moments equivalent? That's a question. Is the double kill on Warlords the same as placing a boss to avoid all mechanics of the fight the same? Am just asking the question.

This is to simply ask the question now, because hypothetically am pretty sure that if DiLiH or my guild found a place to put Strylak (and obviously we didn't both guilds have kill videos up that you can watch) where we wouldn't have to deal with any mechanics, and just do the dps race. People would be quite outraged not only at Bioware for their failure once again to test anything properly, and us for doing it.

In the end although it's a member of my guild that does the tracking, it's up to him to make decisions like that, and is why he invites the community when new content is about to come out. Take my word he rarely ever sides with me on anything, cause if he did, skippers would of been DQ'd during TFB and they weren't. A lot of this is more for discussion, for the future and what the community wants to be like. I understand there is no black and white answers to this. But I think there is a complete difference to Warlords then there is for Dash. Obviously some people completely disagree with me

  14. I am by no means requiring obviously for this run but will be a thought for the future if people fell they can just exploit fights. My thought is no one has here, and honestly just found out about such a thing tonight. It's a friendly competition, with the spirit of one. It's lame that people think they can get away with it. Just a heads up is all. Other then that SuckaFish Congratulates all guilds in what they have done far, and to those who do not have a clear better luck this up coming week
  15. It was recently brought to my attention that there is a rock towards the end of the first encounter of Scum and Villiany that people have been using to exploit to avoid all the mechanics such as the birds and the debuff received. You simply hide behind it and take no damage from debuffs or birds.
