    Ok, so, as a guild, we've downed him but only twice. Then they nerfed the adds. "Ok, great" I say to myself, lets go farm this s**t.

     

    We wiped. And then again. And again.

     

    The adds die, so, probably not a DPS issue: when we ran for the rocks, no adds were up. We did sometimes seem to take damage when hiding behind the rocks though. A lot of people were taking damage, during the hide behind the rocks phase, and the cross - people stand where they should but take damage anyway.

     

    We are not a hardcore progression guild, but we do like to be able to clear *story mode* content now and then.... What are we missing??

    Hey guys thanks for all the replies. Lots of info to digest here; also I was out of town so I have not had a chance to play with my sniper.

     

    I do have this to report though. Shortly before leaving town, I went through my gear and replaced the lettered mods and enhancements with the non-lettered ones (so, less endurance more power or mainstat).

     

    I only parsed a couple of times then and all parses were in the 4.1-4.2 k range. So it seems like a small improvement. I will shoot at the dummy some more tonight, i need more parses with the un-lettered mods.

    I didn't get my panties in a twist about the Revan fight either.

    Several people I know of found ways to defeat him anyway.

     

    I went and did more dailies on Yavin and Rishi, got more rep tokens, got to 60, so I got a toon I can raid with. I figure I'd go back to the Revan fight later. Maybe level my other alt or two in the meantime. No biggie. It will be there when I decide to get back to it ;)

    How did "lose > loose" not make this list?

    Blasphemy! :D

     

    I had to focus on the top few. By all means, we can keep adding to the list!

     

    If this thing really takes off, who knows, maybe BW could even program a special event into the game -- like a PVP spelling bee or something.

    While I have to agree that there are far too many obvious mistakes nowadays, I think you just made a mistake in your own post: I'm fairly certain it should be It's not its in that case.

    Hello, everyone!

     

    Reading through the various messages on the forums today, it occurred to me that it may be time for another quick spelling reminder. My last message on this subject was removed by the moderators as inflammatory, so this time I will try to be more helpful and cordial rather than condescending and insulting.

     

    I will focus on my top three favorites here. If we could work on cleaning those up, we will definitely make the community section a better place for everyone. So, here we go:

     

    1. your vs. you're

     

    "Your" is a possessive pronoun while "you're" is a contraction of 'you are'. Correct way is "you're a moron". If you spell it "your a moron", then, well, your a moron.

     

    2. would of

     

    It's "would have". There is no "of" in this simple conditional tense. This makes a person sound less than uneducated. Someday some of you may have to get out into the real world and get jobs. If you had spelled "would have" as "would of", say, in your cover letter, I would of not hired you.

     

    3. misuse of 'I' when it should be 'me'

     

    Saying "come to Dromund Kaas with Vette and I" is incorrect. A way to tell is to remove the third person from the sentence. Surely you would not say "come to Dromund Kaas with I". And if you would, well, that's an even more difficult case. Me cannot helps you then.

     

    Thank you all very much for reading this simple reminder. My intent is not to lord my knowledge over everyone but to share it in the hope of making some if you all a little bit easier to tolerate.

    Mercenary Healing in Ops

    I have a merc alt, he is currently in DPS rakata gear. I started building a healing gear set: i have a columi chest, gloves, pants and tionese mainhand/offhand, all with alacrity.

     

    I bought a field respec button, very useful. I have no trouble healing FPs (except for lost island, that is) in my pure DPS gear.

     

    What is the minimum healing gear I need to try healing in an op? Would about 200 alacrity be sufficient?
