  1. I'm having the same issue...however I am NOT using steam. It gets to about 98% and then freezes.....music stops too.

Not sure if this matters or not...but trying to load into Tat....which already had a slower than usual load time prior to 7.4

  2. Her video isn't from the PTS, the PTS didn't have the saber available, you could only see it in the preview window (where it does look bugged). The video was released last Friday, two days after the patch. That's the live version of the saber.

I've also seen it in game myself after release because I helped a friend buy it the day it went live. I noted to him beforehand that the saber looked dull and washed out in the preview window, he still wanted it, but then it looked normal in-game. We both noticed the difference. If you can get some screenshots of it in-game where it looks dull and washed out, that'd be helpful, because again, what I've seen of it is the opposite. I can't check it myself since my friend is the one actually got it, so if there are specific conditions that cause it, I can't test that.

It's worse in the preview, however if you compare it to other sabers in game, it's obvious. That being said, looks like the devs are going to fix it.

  3. Have you checked this in game? It doesn't look like this in game from what I can tell, it's only in the preview window. I can't speak to whether or not it emits light in game, I wasn't paying attention to that when my friend was checking it out, but the colors are much more vibrant in game. See
    on the saber for example.

Yes, even in game it's still an issue. Have this Saber out along with another Saber with the same color if you don't believe me. Her video was put out while it was still on the test server. So maybe it wasn't bugged before.

  4. More than likely they are going to charge us $50 for the set. If I'm going pay that much, it needs to be 100% dyeable. Look, there are many people like myself that take time to customize and create unique looks for our chars. Most of my characters have fully maxed out outfit slots. Sometimes I use full pure sets with maybe a dye added. Other times I mix set pieces to make something that fits my style and is more unique. Customization is a good thing. If someone decides to make a hideous looking outfit, that's their choice. To limit customization just because you don't want to see it, is a poor reason.
  5. Several sabers used the same style hilt. Some had alignment reqs, but not all of them. Also different sounds. For some reason, most of the sabers were made unavailable after vendors were changed. Yet many of the less desired hilts from the early days are still easy to obtain.
  6. That's not true. Gray Jedi are well established in the EU, and have been for many years now.

Not only that, but well established as a concept in kotor 1 and 2. Heck there is even a few lines in the knight story if you are neutral and even a sith inquisitor title. So it was considered a possibility from the original devs. Now that the alignment system is ruined, it's much harder to hear said lines unless you are making an effort to be neutral

  7. Lol, you really must have missed it. It's part of the Sith Inquisitor bonus quest when you visit the library. You have an opportunity to corrupt the files in the library. The last one is always the pole dancer. I always thought it was a pretty clever joke.
  8. The easiest way is to buy a derelict purple crystal on the GTN or get lucky and find one in a cartel pack. The derelicts are slightly lighter in color than the regular purple but you can equip it at level 10 and they give +41 stat boosts.
  9. He isn't saying to start out with the most powerful version of the skill. What he is saying is, to have the skills auto upgrade themselves when you reach the appropriate level without having to pay for it.
