  1. Necro thread. I love the guy comparing OR to the Nintendo PowerGlove. And just like in the Wizard yes the PowerGlove is bad but in a good way..... but well in a bad way it was really bad.

I can't think of a better game at the moment to play in 3D in First Person than SWTOR.

If I were a betting man........which I am....The release of the new Star Wars films will renew interest in this game. The Release of the new Star Wars films + 3D VR support for Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, and Sony Morpheous would turn this game into an absolute monster of an MMO. It all depends on the gamble that EA and Bioware are willing to take. If it were up to me, I'd invest the money and be a fully supported 3D VR game in Q1 of 2016.

Not that you asked for it but that's my 2 cents. If you haven't tried it, then don't comment on it. To quote a genius from a completely unrelated mainstream movie "It's the future of gaming" or " People will bow to it" ~JP.

  2. Make it a one time purchase from the Cartel Market. Allow players to turn it on and off at will. If you don't want it then don't buy it. It's that simple.

If you are one of those who believe people won't be able to "Learn their Class" you are an absolute joke. You should be able to boot up and play a max level character with all skills, gear, and weapons unlocked in the top 90% percentile within a few hours. If it takes you 100 hours of play time to learn one single class in a video game that's designed for tweens, like this one, you have some very serious L2Play issues.

  3. I have the opposite problem actually. I'm constantly Forced to PvE!!!! It's so boring. Please allow us to play the game the way we want. I support no Forced PvP if you'll support no Forced PvE.

On my main I literally got stuck on the Fleet. I could only get to Fleet related items and shuttle to and from the starter areas. I wasn't allowed to board any of my friends starships at level 40+. I literally had to PvE to unlock my own Starship. I'm dead serious this is not a troll. If you don't believe me try it for yourself.

  4. Add Joystick and Gamepad support. Add 1st Person View. Reduce the grind by 85%. Add more ships and Weapons to the Cartel Market. Create a matchup system. Game gets more overall players, more highly skilled players, and more money. Do everything I stated above and it will result in Increased activity, better competition, and more balanced gameplay. As of right now GSF is a joke. X-Wing vs Tie Fighter had better game play than this and it was released 17 years ago! Seriously Devs Get it together.
  5. I have to cancel because I am not able to play enough to warrant a sub. With this 12x xp though it was well worth subbing for. I see no reason to punish people who are willing to pay to just do story content, I have yet to hear one person say how great your side questing was.....because it isn't.

I agree 100%. Please bring it back. I'll pay extra for it.

  6. Keep 12x XP! Better yet make it 15x XP so that we don't have complete the uber boring Kill X Amount of Enemy bonus missions.

The only thing this dead and dying game has going for it are the class story missions and dialogue choices. It's not about leveling to max level instantly. The only thing you can do at Max level in this game is grind for virtual trash anyway. Who would honestly want to do that? Spend hundreds of hours of their life just to acquire an item inside a video game. It makes no sense.

For those of who complain that it's creating bad players for your "Hardcore Content" I have to say "LOL what"? It's PvE. Hence the nickname PvEasy. It can't get any easier. If you're having problems completing PvE content with PUGS I have bad news for you.. The problem most likely isn't them, it's you.

  7. Would require too much effort.

Instead, they can pump out operations/flashpoints nobody gives a dick about, and call that progress, while the oblivious masses in denial will actually buy into it.

You sir get a +1. I agree with your post.

  8. Someone had to say this, so I will let you guys crucify me and flame me if you want.

Every MMO has launched with bugs.

To be honest, TOR had one of the smoothest launches I've seen in recent memory. Rift and Age of Conan launched poorly, Aion was a disaster. LotRO had all kinds of problems.

So yes, the game has bugs. Yes, there are things that need to be fixed. If you don't like it, unsubscribe and come back in a few months. If you still don't like it, then I guess we won't see you again.

This is probably the dumbest and most biased post in this thread from an obvious fan boy. I played AOC, LoTro, and Aion and ALL of those games we're 1000 times better at PvP or PvMP at release than SWTOR. This game is a total let down from every perspective. Just think about how dissapointing everything has been, from the space combat, to the crafting system, to the light/dark side choices, to the skins of the armor/gear, and especially the busted PvP systems. The only decent thing in game is the voice acting and the fact that I get to bone my companions but the story for every class aside from a couple of the Sith ones are "yawn" and 95% of time I simply don't care what they're going to say so I just space bar through it all.

I'll consider coming back when it's free to play but probably not. By the time it gets to this point GW2 will be out and I'll be a playing a very well design and implemented PvP MMO.

I just recently canceled my sub. I have a little over 2 weeks left to play.

  9. The last area in Voidstar has 4 Power Ups not 3. 2 Expertise and 2 Heals. The Expertise not mentioned is very easy to see. If you take the first set of stairs leading down on the right hand side and go straight you'll run right into it almost.
  10. Do not listen to the original poster. He/She is an uber fan boy or an EA Bioware employee and has been trolling in every thread that states anything negative about the game. Just let it go and don't bother responding. Bioware and EA can do no wrong in her, the original posters, opinion.
  11. Guild Wars Guild Wars Guild Wars Guild Wars

It wasn't a button mash fest. If the entire team wasn't on Ventrilo or Teamspeak you didn't win anything period.

The arena's in this game make Guild Wars arena's look 1,000 times better than they are. Which is sad because Guild Wars came out like 10 years ago.

  12. Well, this problem has been growing last 2 days...

In "The Battle For Alderaan PVP Instance" the defensive objective points for this one is becoming a serious problem. Now we have players just camping an UN-atacked turrets and standing there all game in 1-3 groups simply because they get tons of these points and look like heros the whole game... The team is losing 2 outta 3 turrets, So the enemy team never attacks here. Meanwhile the poor team is now fighting 5-6 on 8 on two turrets, very little chance to capture a point..

Why? Because this gives the lame "cheating" (this is cheating in my book) players 10,000 - 15,000 objective points for doing absolutely nothing. They get about 10-15k exp for doing nothing, and get all the MVP votes to the ignorant players that don't notice the truth that they are actually hurting their team.

The end result is that the team with these players is getting their time completely wasted.

Dev's need to come in here and change up the instance to stop this from happening, for now they should completely deactivate it.

Video Below shows the end of a round where I caught these lame kids doing nothing the whole round...

I agree. I hate players that AFK Bot in Warzones and I hate players that camp at a turret that is never going to get attacked and claim that they are "defending it".

The PvP in this game is a joke. The PvE in this game is the same as every other game. There is nothing epic or heroic about it like was promised. Also, X-Wing vs Tie Fighter that came out in the 90's has more interesting space combat than TOR.

Bottome line, SW:TOR is a total let down.

  13. It doesn't require "a lot more talent," it simply requires you to not click because otherwise you won't get a single spell off for very obvious reasons. Unless having the basic fundamentals down is "a lot more talent" or something.

There are no "spells" in this game.

  14. BW doesnt have PVP devs, they dont even play their own game, and they will never care about pvp, sad but true

DO listen to this guy because he knows exactly what he is talking about.

  15. What is with you fan boys?

    EDIT:

The only thing SWTOR has going for it is the Star Wars brand. All of the game-play mechanics need to be re-worked. Combat is dull and slow paced, there is no information or mod use to give players any information as to what they are doing in the game besides combat damage above enemy heads.

This game has a lot of flaws, ESPECIALLY in combat. Accept it and work on it, or I'll wait for the Final Fantasy 14 style email in 3 months with Bioware apologizing how terrible their game is, that it is going free to play, and they are dedicated in improving the user experience.

WIN. Combat system sucks. Gameplay sucks. Game mechanics suck. Story sucks. Voice acting decet but not enough voice actors. It ruins immersion when all the NPC's have the same voice.

  16. I enjoy the balance (except for early melee they need 30+)

I enjoy the complexity (no Rift macros please)

I am impressed by opponents NOT by classes

Very well done. I'm interested to see what future months bring.

Disregard thread. He's a Bioware or EA Employee....

There is nothing complex about PvP in this game. If you want a complex PvP MMO experience try playing as a monk in Guild Wars GvG.

I agree with your last statement. Some players really know how to play and other players are keyboard turners that solely use the mouse to activate their skills. Which is they have PvP servers and PvE servers. PvP servers tend to not have nearly as many as the later I just mentioned. Although, there's almost always a wait time to enter the PvP servers.

  17. It's extremely annoying. However, it happens upon entry into the war zone. Each player leaves the group to join into the new PvP Ops group. When you leave the war zone you leave that group and are back solo. But yes. It needs to be fixed. Just Bioware EA being super lazy in their coding.
