  1. I can see how that'd be useful information...

Right now I'm just PvE. Using the group finder to do a few hard modes and ran Karraga's for the first time last night.

Hard modes have been going ok. But the operation seemed more difficult than I had expected. Too many times (2-3?) I was in the middle of casting a big heal while innervate/etc was on cooldown only to have my target die.

Figure it's either my spells not casting fast enough or the previous spell not hitting hard enough. Seeing as how I'm pretty close to the crit %, a bit low on the surge % and bit high on alacrity % I'm going to go with the earlier spells not hitting hard enough.

I've got a few columni items, the rest are the tier 1 whatever-it's-called that I'd collected prior to my break.

  2. I've been gone from the game since around 1.3 and recently came back to give it another go since I have some time to spend once again.

After searching the forums, I've not found any comments about healing stats/gear after the 1.2/1.3 time frame. Are the base stat lines still the same?

    Surge 75%, crit 35%, alacrity 8-10%, max out power/willpower

Also, around the time I stopped playing I remember talks about being able to remove set bonuses from items and attach them to custom gear. I tried that last night with the tionese chest item to dump it into my preferred gear look and it didn't bring the set bonus ability. What's up with that?

  3. I would love to just set up a op, where everyone pregames before and goes in to the op drunk.

Just for a fun event, Drunk raiding.

Back in WoW-times, my guild had a "Kegs & Eggs" raid on Saturday mornings that started around 7am.

Lots of rules for when you had to take a drink.

If you weren't slurring by the second boss, you got kicked out of the raid for not doing it right. :D

  4. There's a toggle choice in the preferences menu that allows you to compare companion gear at the same time, you end up with two seperate pop-up windows. One with your gear and one with your companion's gear.

At work, so I can't dig into the menu to find the box you need to click.... but it's definitely there.

  5. Increasing your companion affection level increases your crit chance.

At 10k affection on all my Sorc minions, none of which have any bonus to biochem crit, yield about 1 in 6 items with an augment slot.

This is just from my limited sample set of course. But you can definitely get them at a much higher % chance than 1 in 100.

  6. Don't remember the name of the earpiece (also level 49) I've been working on, but I've passed 60 RE's without a single schematic learned. At this point, I don't need credits for anything and it gives my minions something to do. Been wondering when this supposed RE "fix" is coming.

For now, it's passed beyond frustrating and into the disturbingly entertaining phase.

  7. I assume you're looking for Red Goo.

I'll toss out something because I have never seen another player out there...

In the Voss bonus mission area. Way up in the NW area there's a tunnel with Verantikor (something like that... the tech beasts) that are all strong mobs. Most have a handler, so you need to be able to take care of yourself while farming them.

Anyway, kill your way through the tunnel and into the area north. There's a pretty good sized area full of these mobs. They're all bioanalysis-able. I got 20 Red Goo in about 30 minutes one day. Plus you get the other level 5 biochem materials in droves as well as credits and loot.

I have been getting Red Goo off of about 1:5 kills. It's a good place to spend time grinding if you have the patience for it.

  8. 1- Right click on the gift with the companion out that you want to give it to. You'll get a 3 second "cast" bar to hand it to them followed by a 30 second "you already gave a gift" debuff

2- I didn't bother with affection until I had money for gifts. I do recommend you go to the fleet and find the companion gift vendor. You can get level 1 green quality gifts for 200 credits each. Buy 'em in piles when you have the money. Or check the GTN for level 1 gifts, you can get deals some days.

3- On my Sorc I only raised it on a few that I used for crew missions. Didn't have the money/desire to see the storylines played out. I did get them all to at least 5k affection for the speed bonus on missions. On my BH, I'm going to max them all out because I have the money now and the desire to see the storylines play out.

4- Don't bother with courting gifts until you get affection high enough to start seeing "flirt" options in their dialogues. Even then, just try it with a 200 credit level 1 gift. They might not like it yet so don't waste the better gifts.

5- Just give the gifts that they "love". The others are a waste IMO.

  9. Man this would be awesome especially with screen shots selecting gear on the GTN drives me nuts they really need a search for ORANGE gear or modable gear search feature lol.

You can search for orange gear on the GTN, sort of.

Run a search with just the following drop box criteria: Armor + Light

Click on the rarity tab at the top. Guessing at the name... the one above the picture showing colors and it will sort them out in the following order: Orange / White / Green / Blue / Purple

First few pages will be the Orange gear for sale.

  10. I would post my outfit that I've finally scrounged together and is something I like, but I can't find the screenshot folder. And no, it's not in My Documents. :(

Got the mostly red w/ black chest from Tatooine commodations and paired it with a set of legs that are mostly black with red highlights/trim. Looks pretty good. No hood, which is one of the major reasons I like it. Got tired of that look.

Have Kalliq's helm too, but I've had it turned off for a while now.

Edit: Found it buried about nine folders deep.
