If you're worried about people abusing self-heals for medals and MVP votes - vote for Protection. Guard causes you to lose life and Taunting is incredibly helpful to teammates.
Given that, NO ONE votes for protection on my server... and I've always wondered why. Even in Huttball where it's the most practical.

Summary line is bordering on spoiler territory already, the tag won't help that.
In the future please avoid making the context so obvious, as new players will now know that eventually a decision will come in which the player will have to make a life or death decision for Jaxo.
On way you could've re-worded would be:
"Jaxo Act 2 *Spoilers*"
or
"Act 2 Decision, let live *Spoilers*?"
And that will let users who've already played be familiar with your subject while avoiding any key contextual elements for lower-level Troopers.

Bump with update, added an oldie back from 2006 before I knew of SWTOR, kinda cool how close the classes came to being in that regard.

Guess the answer is that I should bit the bullet and respec back into Shield Spec.

Get orange armour gear and mod them with commendation mods from the latest planet you are on. Do the same for your companion that you use most. Personally you should choose 2 choice companions and gear them up and use them on different occasions. I use Elara for healing and Forrex for tanking while I DPS. Play space missions and Warzones to get a level or 2 higher than your Class Missions to make progress easier.

I know some people have been griping about this since BETA, and thought some fixes were implemented, but I really feel like I've hit a brick wall leveling wise since post Balmorra on my Vanguard. Thinking of switching back to SS to see if that helps, but it seems like Elara can't keep up with the heals and I'm hitting the dirt in no time.
I know the first thing I should do is deck myself out proper to my level, but I'm also having trouble finding what I can deck myself out with, Armormech doesn't really pose much of an answer without schematics (which my server isn't selling much of) and I don't want to hunt down and re-run too many Flashpoints for random gear.
Any suggestions for anyone else who's felt this way?

My original plan was to have 1-2 drawings per Character Class, with an archetypal, unique character to recognize them. So the bearded fella will be my archetypal Trooper, the Spawn-like Sith Warrior, etc. I never got a chance to finish them before launch (original plan) but will likely continue forward. The Imperial Agent was the design I wanted to do next, and I wanted to do a female, so I'll definitely take your criteria into consideration

So we've heard some thoughts on everyone's experience with their specs, however, I'm curious as to the consensus on what the trooper community's preferred leveling spec is?
Would Assault be more DoT single-target? focusing on HIB.
Shield Spec seems like an AoE powerhouse at later levels, key word 'later'.
Tactics may be convenient with the added run speed, but is it viable when dealing with loads of mobs?

Did this one back in 2006 after finally playing KoToR and before SWTOR was announced. Depicts me and my friend as Jedi Guardian and Sith Assassin respectively. After reviewing it now, interesting how much SWTOR aesthetic is there, including the jedi armor
