  1. Been playing healer classes for years and when I saw the 30% debuff on top of the insane amount of CCs that don't share DRs, interrupts, and also damage, I lol'd. It's like they wanted healers to be useless.

Play a warzone without a healer against a team who has one and tell me you don't notice a difference.

  2. It's a couple things.

    1. 30% healing debuff in PVP - THIS IS STUPID and ruins games. If I wanted to play counterstrike, I'd play counterstrike. NERF DPS 30% please and let people fight for real.

    2. The lag in PVP makes it hard to heal, because many times they are already out of range by the time your cast goes off, so it looks like you didn't heal at all, because you didn;t.

They really need to work on these things because right now there is ZERO reason to play a healer. You won't save anyone (leveled to 40 as a merc healer) and you can't dps for crap.

    3. There is no bonus to healing vs damage, so why not just have fun and damage? It's easy to get 5-7 pvp bonus as a DPS but impossible to get barely 3 as a healer.

    1. If they wouldn´t have "nerfed" healing, noone would die.... ever.

Healing is fine, rly. If you find it's not enough, you are doing it wrong.

    2. I have not experienced any lag. But I do acknowledge this to be an issue for lots of ppl.

    3. I get about 6-8 commendations every game. Fewer if my group suck.

I´m fine with that. Maybe they could add 1 more commendation for 150k healing

    maybe.

  3. "We have to pay more attention to what's happening on the screen instead of just looking at the screen."

    Not sure if serious.

I´m sure you know what I mean.

Think really really hard for a moment.

  4. It goes unanswered and if the player isn't using a program to bot, then nothing I do helps...

So you came here on the forums to gather up a posse to come yell at the AFKers with you?

I don't think there's much to be done about this.

AFKers exist in every game. It's annoying and it's very selfish of the players.

    Live with it.

  5. Shock only works on standard and weak enemies, a.k.a. normal mobs. On players I just do ~700dmg (using a purple resolve hilt 22 and purple crafted focus, over 500 bonus force damage without buffs, btw)

Overload isn't really a CC. It only pushes players away, useful but it doesn't disable them (it can interrupt some skills tho). If you spend skill points you can make it root, but then you have to be a dps spec, not healer.

Electrocute stuns for 4 seconds and is my main CC, but it has 1min CD. 50s if you go the DPS route. First CC.

Whirlwind has 1min CD and lasts 1 min, but it heals the target and it breaks on damage. It also is the main target of purges and CC breaks. It helps making them waste their CC break to give you a chance to use electrocute without them breaking it. Second CC for sorcerers.

    That's 2 CCs.

    That's right. Remove Shock.

    You still have 4 CC.

CC = Crowd Control, not Crowd Disable.

  6. well the biggest reason is to know when a player is switching targets to you or a teammate. To mark the healer that your buddy found, to be able to interrupt that heal that would have saved an enemies life, when another player burn CD's and you need to CC him. It allows you to increase your effectiveness in matches.

I think the lack of information that the UI has currently will push some hardcore players away.

And its simple things that they didn't put in. Like a combat log, target of target, macros ect.

Don't get me started on macros. ;)

  7. What other CCs are you talking about? Enlighten me. We have 2 CCs. Whirlwind (1 min CC for sorcs that breaks if they take damage, 1 min CD) and Electrocute (4s stun, 1 min CD). If you cast WW they break it. If you cast shock it gives you 4 seconds to cast 1, maybe 2 heals and heal for less than 4k HP. Again, that's what some DPSers do with a single skill.

    Shock

    Overload

    Electrocute

    Whirlwind

    I think that´s all.

    That's 4, not 1 CC abilites.

How can you come here and expect to be taken seriously when you have no idea what your class can and cannot do?

    *EDIT*

    Lightning Drain

So it's 5 if you count that.

  8. This also.

I feel like I put more time into my character and work, I should have an obvious advantage over someone that just started...

I mean, I have way more abilities but that isn't to say that I can't be beaten. I should beat them no matter what because of the work I put into my character.

I just think it's weird the way bolster is and kind of dumb.

    Are you trolling me?

Please, don't... I´m in no mood.

  9. Again, are you playing a 50 healer or are you talking as a dpser that kills the healers? If you don't play a healer, don't talk about what healers can or can't do, or what healers should or shouldn't do. Or if you do, show it and prove me wrong.

I take 3k+ damage from single hits very often. I have 11k HP (so they take almost a 30% of my HP in a single hit) because I filled my mods with as much def, alacrity and power I could to be more effective at healing. As a healer I can CC once, that's it, ONCE every minute, and also cast a cool bubble that can't be cast again for 20 seconds and breaks with the first hit from a dpser. If I run I can't heal myself and they just keep attacking me until I die (sorc healers have a 1.5s cast time, and that's the lowest heal, that heals for less than 1k and can't be cast while moving). If I stop to heal they outdps my heals even killing me before the first heal I cast goes off (every hit has pushback, even with the skill to reduce it, and makes it go from 2.5s for Dark Infusion to 4s+ cast time, that's if they don't CC or break your cast, and everyone has many skills to do this).

That is, every 4-5 secs standing I can heal for 2-3k. In 5 seconds some DPSers can do more than 10k damage if they pop the right skills at the right time, or they just CC to break the heal at the last second and get some extra seconds to finish you, and also some more seconds after you break the CC because you have to start casting the heal again.

Again, play a 50 sorcerer healer before you say anything. I only see people agree that healers are fked in 1v1 and they should stay that way because they don't play one and it only helps them. Period.

If you can only CC "ONCE EVERY MINUTE", then maybe you should put your other CC abilites on your gosh darn actionbars.

    Geez!

  10. I mean, I'm just saying that I can't really find enjoyment in PvP if I feel like that my decisions I made for my character aren't going to impact hardly anything in a warzone.

What decisions are you talking about specifically?

  11. It's balanced, plays smooth, and it's a lot of fun, and awesomely enough, the queue times for my server are almost instant.

    Gunslinger>ALL

    Same for me.

Though, it seems melee are having some issues with how the game runs in PvP.

That needs to be taken care of, which I´m sure it will.

  12. Gear matters, but not in the way you are thinking.

The gear is relative to your level.

If you wear lvl 10 gear for your lvl 30 toon, he will not be as bolstered as he would be with lvl 30 gear.

This is the case, right people ?!

  13. Healers should be able to outheal a single player DPS because that's their job, DPSers do damage, healers heal it and there should be a balance between the two. If healers can't counter a DPS then they are useless. It's stupid to say healers are supposed to die everytime they face someone and their only job is to run around and maybe find someone else to help them survive a bit longer.

Tanks can soak up a lot of damage, they can stand a long time vs 2, 3 and even 4 players attacking them (I've seen it happen many times, at least until their buffs and CDs were gone). That's their job and they can do it because they have skills and stats to support it.

DPSers can do a lot of damage. Some do burst damage (sins/shadows doing quick 3k+ dmg hits), some do constant dps with dots or channeled skills. That's their job and they can do it right, because the game allows them to do it.

Healers with HEALING SPEC (I'm talking about healers spending every single skill point in the healing tree and using UPGRADED light armor, as I'm playing a sorc and can't really talk about other healing classes) are supposed to heal and keep their OR (not and, just ONE at a time) someone else's hp up. If you think it's fair for heales to die in seconds to a single DPSer or think that the healer classes are ok as they are, then you clearly haven't played a healer. You even said in your post IT'S OKAY FOR HEALERS TO DIE TO ANYONE BUT TANKS. I'm sorry but I have to disagree, healers only have one purpose: Healing. If their healing is so weak and useless they can't stand a single player while they still have force to keep casting, then something is wrong. I bet you would be ok with tanks dying in 2 hits, just because you aren't playing one and it doesn't really affect you. And also if dpsers did the same damage as tanks, as long as your class had the advantage over the rest. But, of course, if some class could counter your DPS, then it would be wrong. That's why people that don't play healers don't want them to be able to stand in a fair fight.

Keep thinking healers are only some annoying class that only runs around until a dpser 2-hits it and you'll end up doing flashpoints with your healing companions. Healers are useless right now unless you are playing vs PUGs that don't attack the healers, but that's not PvP, that's abuse. If nothing changes soon people will just respec or reroll dps and we will be fked without healers.

And people, please, before saying l2p or anything, please play a 50 healer and show us how to do it right. Then, after proving you are better than everyone else playing healers and that healers aren't underpowered, maybe you'll be in position to tell someone else to learn to play their own classes.

There's one "truth" you got wrong. It made the whole post false.

A healers job is not just healing.

If you knew how to use your other skills you would know that healing isn´t all you can do to keep your friends alive.

Noone is saying healers should get 2-shotted and die, which they don't, unless you play them wrong.

I can outlast a dps for quite some time. But not forever. Even two I can manage for a while.

You are thinking from a 1v1 perspective, and that is just wrong. It's wrong until they release 1v1 warzones atleast.

You have friends around, you should play like a team.

As for the last part. YOU play a 50 healer. And then after proving you are better than everyone else (lol), maybe you're in a position to blah blah blah....

  14. Why is "target's target" a must have?

The only thing it does, is make it easier for you to know who they are targeting, not impossible.

Now we have to pay more attention to what´s happening on the screen instead of just looking at the UI.

    Isn't that a good thing?

It's different from other Mmo's, and I like it.

  15. Well.. For movement I use W,A,D. Forward, left strafe, right strafe.

12 buttons on Razer Naga + mouse 3/shift mouse 3

    Shift + Mw up/down

Ctrl + Naga buttons for buffs/sprint

    I think that's it.

  16. There are some other issues where melee for lack of a better word "suffers", looks like alot of them are technical issues and some bugs, we'll probably see alot of fixxes in the comming weeks that will help with that.

Since I don´t play a melee class I haven't noticed those issues, but I do understand that they are there.

I think that's what's causing the problems, not that the classes are UP per se.

They just feel/behave that way because of the "clunkyness".

  17. I personally do not play a tank spec, so I have no idea why you would say that. The class/spec I play can only do damage aswell, I feel there are better ways for the damage to be delt, and how its delt.

The problem with Maruader/Sentinel is that almost all of its damage is extreemly backloaded, the damage is good when you reach it, but it takes some time getting there, it also requires time on target to achieve. I'm working on a post for the class forums suggesting some tweaks, so I wont get into some of the changes I would suggest here. With that said, in the heavy CC PvP environment TOR has, its much tougher to deal damage as those specs than maybe it should be, if the devs would like to keep the damage as back loaded, maybe some different control options are needed for those specs? I really dont want to see all the damage front loaded either, for any spec really, that alone creats frustration for those on the recieving end, if they die before they can react or whatnot, its a tough balancing act for sure, but just because its tough doesnt mean they should'nt try and balance it out abit.

The last thing I want to see is tanks with high damage, thats terrible design.

Well, sry again then. You wrote something about tanks and sent/maru earlier and i misread it as "you are a tank" and so on...

I think a better fix would be for players to reach Resolve a tad faster.
