  1. I just use the 2x rakata daily implants...

As ears go I use the crit crafted ones... I cant remember what the prefix and suffix were but it was the crit ones of hawkeye I think

    They have:

    50AIM

    60 ACC

    40POW

    25 Crit

    40-50 surge

    then +28 aim in aug

Since the rakata ones don't have any power 78aim + 40 power is greater then what 105 aim?

and they are a lot easier to get then the Columi ones

warning: going off top of head on stats might be wrong somewhere but over all concept remains true

  2. Considering I already run alacrity "heavy" (healer, just solohealed HM Karagga Palace with 4 melee guys), this change is just making me chuckle all the more at the people dissing alacrity. ;)

No one is dissing Alacrity for healers... It is actually pretty good if you heal. It is still useless for DPS though. I mean if I go crazy with alacrity all it would allow me to do it squeeze one extra rapid shots into rotation... would rather use the gear slots to make my real abilities hit harder and crit more.

  3. Just be careful.

I don't know about this game but many MMO's consider macros and such "against the rules". Specially if using a third party device/application. They consider it an unfair advantage. Before you go and program your mouse you might want to see if SWTOR is OK with it. It would suck to be banned or suspended for something like that.

yeah ... i like color .. makes posts more cheerfull :)

    :D

    Ya and harder to read....

  4. Loved the fiction....

anyways, my Chars name is Faloma Fedi.

Have always used Faloma. But on an interesting note in SWG you were allowed to give your character surnames. I had a bothan BH Named Faloma, and I had the game randomly generate a last name for me. It gave me Fedi and it just stuck.

  5. that fine if power is the way you want to go but depending on your spec crit will give you more sustainable damage then power... It is all about the heat reduction on crits. That comes out to like a free tracer missile a rotation. My damage is limited by heat not how much I can hit for. coarse with no damage meters it is are to say exactly how much it helps but...

If I can cast an extra Tm every rotation It doesn't matter if your none crits hit more I am gonna out damage you.

  6. It is only white damage that is effected by accuracy so it helps but it isn't huge. Helps with unload and rail shot but not a whole lot else but that still accounts for a good portion of damage.

I am sitting at like half rakata and half columi gear and my stats are 103% accuracy 35% crit 84% surge and a fair amount of aim/power

Also if you have such a problem with the rakata mod stats just pull out other ones from gear you do like such as champion or just higher lvl generic stuff.

  7. Play both... In our guild we are low on healers I prefer to DPS and am one of the better in the guild but sometimes we need the heals. Not a great healer but I get the job done. After about a month of raiding Normal and 2 doing HM OPS other then some Rakata pieces I have my DPS gear set. I still get a lot of crap and now am focusing on getting a Healing set.

No dual specs so that can be annoying but respec costs are low enough it really isnt a big deal.

  8. Yes, I dont use heals in PVP unless we outnumber them and I just have to hold on for a bit.

In PVE they can really come in handy. You cant always rely on a healer all the time. I heal a lot on the phase transition in SOA and have healed threw the final boss in False Emperer when the healer DLed 15 s3ec into fight. So although they are not great heals as a merc I do get 4.5-5.5k crit heals.

Not extremely useful but can help.

  9. What I have heard is to prioritize in this order:

    1) crit till you hit 30-35% crit rate

2)Surge till you hit 80-85% crit damage modifier

3)Accuracy till 108% (specially if raiding) not so important if you are a pvper

    4) Focus the rest on Aim/power

    5) then I guess Endurance but that will come with better gear

    6) finally avoid alacrity unless you are a healer it will just mess up your rotation.

It has been a while since I have looked to see if any of this has changed so it might be outdated.

should add this is for a merc dont know what pt need

  10. I dont have much experience with healing mostly just do it on the easier HM FP. But one thing I hated about it was how many times I had to hit the key "1". That was were I have rapid shots.

I would love there to be an auto rapid shots or if it was a channel ability. Something so I didn't have to click so much.

That being said I love how if managed right a Bodyguard will never go OOM err force-power. In long fight I always see healing tail off by Sorcs because resource issues you just don't have that with BH.

  11. I don't know maybe in smaller FP it might be nice but I don't miss not having that ability. I mean As mercs we can already DPS with the best, heal and with heavy armor, tank for short periods of time.

In larger ops there are always a sorc or another class that can rez and with the global cool-down it isn't like having an extra 1-2 combat rezers is gonna help all that much.

  12. I just dont get the motivation behind these posts...

I mean no one cares if you cancel or keep your subscription except maybe some accountant for bioware...

You are quitting the game so what do you get out of wasting your time posting here....

How bad does your life have to be to decide SWTOR is not good enough for you , but a pointless forums on that game is worth your time?

I am way more into Star trek then wars but the Trek MMO blew... This game is actually fun. yes there are bugs and could use more content but does anyone notice that these are easily fixable things... Unlike STO the core game is not flawed... The core game is actually very good.

  13. I feel that SWTOR made a mistake by making it too easy to lvl...

If it was harder or longer they would have had more time to implement end game content giving them more time to fix bugs and balances.

When WOW came out it had its share of bugs but it took ages to get to 60 so tehy didnt have to worry about endgame for a while.

  14. That dude is a pain with the debuff he stacks. That being said there seems to be 3 ways you can kill him.

    1. Grab a friend. With 2 ppl he is very easy

    2. Use a dps companion (dont know how well this work but ppl have done it)

    3. Use line of sight on him when debuff starts to get high until it drops. This is how I did it and is very easy. Basically I fought with mako till about the 3rd time he disappeared. that's when the debuff started to stack. I then kept the generators between myself and him. Once the debuff drops off you can come out and straight dps him down again.

First time he killed me when trying to DPS straight up the whole fight. He cost me 40k in repairs before I just gave up. When I came back to try for the second time LOSing I killed him on my first attempt.

  15. I feel BH are balanced fine . I have no problem taking on any other char type. Yes healers can generally out heal my dps but while doing that they cant kill me either. That being said....

The only time when I wish we were more mobile is when playing huttball. I dont even bother trying to carry the ball because well although we can take some damage we are easily locked down. Only reason why I want a mobility move is so I can play something other then support/defense in a match.

It can get frustrating when in a pvp match everyone runs from you and always getting 2x teamed but on the other hand mercs are not squishy and can out dps most classes with a couple spot heals you are invincible.

  16. Has anyone else had problems with the quest "A New Order" on Ilum?

I advance fine threw half the quest np until I reached Shai. I brought down the shield and prepared myself to a solo mission boss fight. I initiate the fight and it goes well to start. Until about 2/3 the threw the fight. All of a sudden my heals on me do "0". With out any heals I just cant kill this guy. Now I notice there are 2-4 debuffs that gets to 6 applications, I am guessing one of those are causing it. I know my companion Mako and my cure ability should be able to drop them but they don't.

I have no clue how to proceed at this point and am wondering what you guys have done or any suggestions.
