    • Do you feel like you have agency to make decisions regarding your Priority Objectives (which aspects of the Objectives to complete, being able to complete them with friends)?

It doesn't feel like there's any agency at all in this system. Objectives are chosen randomly and only 2 daily/2 weekly are available at a time. It doesn't look like many of the weekly objectives are solo or small group (2 person) friendly content. Having only 2 of each daily/weekly up a time means there's really no choice to be made here. Player choice is removed in order to "encourage" participation in activities one otherwise would not do. Personally, I hate PVP and GSF so much, I would always skip those. If RNG makes them come up too much, it means either not participating in this new system, missing rewards, or using a very large number of credits to skip ranks (and I'm not a super rich player, so this is a pretty hard sell).

  1. Were you able to find the Galactic Seasons page?

    • Yes

Were you able to locate your Galactic Seasons Priority Objectives in the Galactic Seasons screen?

    • Yes

In the Conquest screen there is a list of tentative Daily and Weekly Priority Objectives. These are all denoted as "PO: Name". What feedback do you have regarding the current list of objectives?

    • FAR too many of them require groups and in general are not desirable content for my play style. Having such a small selection is going to leave me unable to complete a season.

How do you feel about the cadence and points offered in GS?

    • Not good at all. Given how undesirable some of the activities are for my play style (I abhor things like GSF, PvP, and OPs), the points do not come in fast enough to complete all 100 ranks in 150 days. It wouldn't be close, even as a subscriber.

What other general feedback would you would like to tell us?

    • The small number of available priority objectives just doesn't feel good. If I want to do mostly solo activities with the occasional flashpoint with a friend, as I play now, I don't feel like I could ever get what I want out of this system.
    • The number of tokens seems too low for the available limited time seasonal rewards. It costs 12 to collect all the new legacy weapons, yet we only get 14. If the 2 strongholds go back to costing tokens, like they did before, and the unique rewards/season remains around 12, it will take literal years to keep pace and that means the non-seasonal "old" content items will not be practical to ever purchase.

Does this second vendor help clarify what rewards are Seasonal and which are rotational?

    • Yes

Were you able to quickly and effectively determine which Reward Levels were eligible for Catch-Up?

    • Yes

Did you utilize Catch-Up? If so, how many Reward Levels did you purchase?

    • Yes, 5

What are your thoughts on the current credit pricing model for Catch-Up?

    • It's far too expensive. While many of the people testing may have billions of credits laying around, I'm a fairly recently returning player with only a few million. I don't feel catch-up is for me at all given the hundreds of millions this system costs, yet the lack of sufficient solo/small-group POs means catch-up will be mandatory.

  2. Unfortunately the ticket CS in this game is very hit and miss, a lot of their responses are just copy and paste generic replies. A lot comes down to whether your message gets read by an experience agent, or not.

The deco you bought was part of an achievement too I believe, which may have added to the reps confusion.

Yeah - CS just added a lot of confusion on top of this bugged item. You are all very awesome for helping me get this figured out so quickly. Hope you all have a great day :)

  3. Thanks for all the replies, but I'm still not able to place this decoration. Under technological > artifacts, the item is not listed. I only see the one copy under furniture (0/0). If this was an event only item, why is there still a 1 million credit item available for purchase that doesn't let you use it once consumed? I'm not new to strongholds - have several with 100s of hooks filled, and this is the first time I've run into something like this.

If decoration items you buy don't actually always grant the decoration, and there's no tooltip indication of this, are there other such items that would just be a waste to purchase? There are a lot of interesting decorations out there that cost a lot, and I'd hate to just have to guess if they actually grant it for use or are like this one that have an unspecified prerequisite.

Edit: seems the bugged version and customer service's very weird response about "grants" confused me in all this. The BUGGED version is available for large hooks, but the /real/ version mentioned above under technological-artifcats is not. Once using the medium narrow hook, and not using a text filter (just selecting the drop-downs) the item appears and is usable. Though I'm still quite confused by what CS means by needing a "grant" for decorations, since I thought that was what buying them was, but I'll just chalk this up to a CS not knowing how decos work. Thank you everyone for helping clear this up.

  4. The tooltip says its usable on "Floor Medium, Floor Large, Floor Medium Narrow" the item is not available when selecting any of those hooks. Additionally, it shows as 0/0 in the decorations window. I thought this item might be bugged, but CS insists otherwise, saying that these items just increase the unlock count and don't grant the item. What I'm asking is, how can the item be granted, now that I (apparently?) have an unlock count of 1.
  5. So I bought an item from the vendor in the Odessen base (Datacron: Dark vs Light) thinking I would get a new decoration available for my stronghold. Upon using the item, I was not able to use the decoration anywhere. Thinking something went wrong with the unlock process, I opened a ticket to resolve the problem. I was told, however, that this item doesn't grant the decoration, it only increases the unlock count. Uh... can someone explain that please? I had 0. Increasing the unlock count should mean I now have 1, correct? All decoration items (including this one) use the same tooltip description and all others I've found do indeed "grant the decoration" - is there something I'm missing with decorations? Do you have to go somewhere to get the "grant" first then these items just increase the count?

The exact quote from customer service: I appreciate your taking the time to provide us feedback regardingthe decoration not received after using Datacron: Dark vs Light. Further, as the description of item reads"Increases your unlock count for this decoration by 1 for all characters in your Legacy" and do not grant the decoration.

  6. I've also had this happen, and it definitely was NOT level sync (and clearly it wasn't for the other posters either, since they were getting command ranks and training new abilities). For me it wasn't level at 70, it was lower 60-something. I had a full crafted set of gear from armormech and equipped it when I hit the appropriate level. I then vendored my old gear and a bunch of other stuff, went to my stronghold, and suddenly all that newly crafted gear I equipped said I wasn't eligible to wear it anymore. At that point I noticed I had lost a level after going to my stronghold.
  7. I have this problem as well and it seems to vary from set to set. Some sets I can unlock with no problem, others I can't. Even a full reinstall of the game, installing a fresh copy on a friend's computer that never had SWTOR on it before, nor relogging repeatedly has worked. I opened a ticket about it, but got a completely useless copy/paste answer (of course) despite telling them all of the above, as well as stating that I completed the set weeks ago. Sent a reply 2 weeks ago but never heard back. Here's their response:

Certain types of legacy unlocks can sometimes take time to sync on to your account. If you purchase an unlock and it does not appear to have applied on your character right away, please do not repurchase the unlock.

If you're still not seeing the unlock after an hour or after a full restart of the game, please let us know and we will check on it for you.

  8. Please make attacking the "Teraforming Devices" on the "Dread Engines" quest not get interrupted by damage. There are so many people around doing this quest that waiting to attack it until all surrounding mobs are dead pretty much guarantees someone else will destroy it before you are able. The attack has a 1s cast, but even the smallest bit of damage from any surrounding mobs interrupts this attack.
  9. I have this in my prayers every night that it will NEVER HAPPEN. Space exploration does nothing but take players out of the Queues for PVP and PVE FPs and ops. The biggest problem this game has right now is not enough people wanting to PVE together in pugs. with the removal of classic ops from GF you cant even EV or KP or EC for the fun of it in groups unless your under level 55. which lasts about a week.

the biggest problem this game has is giving people something to do TOGETHER when they are not progression raiding with guild. Space exploration would be a little WORSE then datacron farming. Please never put it in this game and rather put old raids into GF under classic raids and let lvl 50s and 55s party together. The gear in those raids is pointless anyway .. let people play for fun cause that is what MMOs are suppost to be.

Interesting view of things... I actually really liked datacrons and solo exploration (seeker droid stuff, lore objects, etc): they give me something to do while I'm waiting for the group finder queue to pop (and for OPs as a DPS that can be a really, really long time). I don't see why doing space PVE or exploring space off the rails means one couldn't be in the group finder queue. It would be a nice change of pace from grinding dailies while you wait.

I hope they add more unique types of PVE that can be done without a group so I can do something other than make laps around the fleet for 2 hours waiting for the queue to pop. Exploring space to find lore objects, resources, or whatever would really be a more fun way to spend that time. Heck - it's a better option than having heroics as part of the dailies: being in a group doing a heroic means you aren't in the group finder queue for a FP or OP - at least with this suggestion, you could be.

  10. Thought I would add that since using the Thranta taxi to Elysium, my character has been rendered pretty much useless. After every conversation, she becomes unuseable - she can't move and any attempt to use a skill is met with the red text "You cannot do that in a vehicle". Additionally, whenever I die, I'm immediately transported back to Elysium and fall to my death [again]. I don't die too often, but it happens more because this bug also causes problems in certain quests, specifically 'Regicide'. I have to reset the game after every conversation in order to move again, but this causes me to get trapped in the yellow forcefield of the enemy boss! When, upon what must have been the fourth try, I managed to actually kill him, the quest rebooted, forced me out of the area and dropped me to the ground, killing me.

No one else I've spoken to seems to have the Thranta glitch this severe.

That kind of glitching is a lot like what I was experiencing when escaping out of conversations. I found I could reset this if I relogged, left Alderaan completely, and came back.

  11. In addition to dying from the fall, it seems to put the character in a weird state whereupon escaping out of a conversation freezes your character and tells you "you cannot do this in a vehicle" when trying to perform any action. Relogging seems to put you back on the Thranta, where you promptly fall down again (though I didn't die this time), but again after escaping out of any convo I end up stuck again.

I also had this happen at the Gree speeder at Ilum's Western Ice Shelf (though without the death as the fall was shorter).

  12. Please explain why it wouldn't work. Not being an ****** or anything like that, I just don't understand what you mean. It seems (to me) he wants the healing set bonus with DPS mods and enhancements. Under my idea he would have to have the healing set to purchase the armorings with the attached set bonus. What would stop him from getting the mods and enhancements from the dps set either through grinding them out, the GTN, or even a friend, and then combine them with the healing armoring in a piece of orange gear?

Or is it that he doesn't like the willpower vs fortitude on the healing armorings? If that is the case, i would have to say that's another issue all together. I would personally love to see this implemented, and I'm sure others would as well, so discussing the issues surrounding it is important to me. Please elaborate why it wouldn't work and I'd be glad to discuss a possible work around. Thanks =)

Yeah - the issue here is that it's not just the mod and enhancement that I'd want from the DPS set, it's the armoring too. I personally like having more willpower than endurance, and for whatever reason the devs decided that such a combination should only be for the DPS set.

With set bonus on armoring, I would have to put up with having more end than I want/need in order to have a healer set bonus, or I'd have to give up the healer set bonus (which is not worth it - the lower trance cd and extra 50 force is a killer bonus).

For now, I bought the Tionese healer set way back when and just put in the mods from the DPS set as I got higher end gear. I have not yet done HM EC, so I have no campaign gear, and have no idea if the bonus on that DPS set's armoring will then remove my healer set bonus (leaving me stuck with the lvl58 DPS armoring stuck inside a shell that looks like hockey gear (consular healer set) forever).

  13. I support this kind of - as long as I can keep my set bonus from my Tionese/Columi/Rakata pieces on the shell.

The stats on the healer set are kind of stupid (high endurance instead of willpower, and lots of unneeded alacrity). The DPS set has the right stats, but the set bonus is useless to a healer. As it is now, I can get the DPS set and put those mods into my old Tionese shell and keep my healer set bonus.

I hope this continues, but given that Campaign gear is set bonus on armoring, I have no idea if I will lose the healer set bonus if I put a DPS armoring (or the armoring as you describe it) into the healer shell. And I know I'd definitely lose it if I put it into an orange item as you describe. Perhaps the set bonuses themselves should come from a special slot-specific token that can be moved to new gear, rather than being attached to something you may not like the stats for.

  14. I don't care if they do cross-server LFG, server merges, transfers, whatever. I just am sick of trying to find a group for literally 8 hours on Anturi Reach, getting maybe one or two people interested, then having them leave before we even start because two hours has passed while trying to fill in the rest of the group. If cross-server FPs solve this at the expense of "community," then so be it. I want to play a *game*, not play a chat room.
  15. I file a ticket, they told me to come here. If that's your skill level, then I'm impressed - it's apparently not mine (or maybe Guardian's really underpowered) and it's not what I see from most of the people I encounter.
  16. I'm not really saying that adding another companion would be a good idea - as most general areas would pretty much just let you sit back and watch - which is no fun at all. Heroics are fine as they are - I've played a few and like how they feel with when grouped (as is expected). Just down the solo quest boss HP (yes even for "bonus" quests, since the rewards are usually so paltry) and tweak the armor - especially heavy armor - which just feels like paper - there's almost no point to armor rating - I'm yet to see any real difference in how hard I'm hit whether I have 300 armor or 0.
  17. This problem isn't fixed by "I'm awesome - so if you're not, go group up". That was the whole point of this thread. Why should a given class, advanced class, or skill tree be so weak that the only option is to group up for solo quests. I like grouping Heroics and Flashpoints, and I do quite well when I do. Pumping up on stims and medpacks helps, but not always and even those should not be required to finish off a boss - they should be what's there to give lesser-skilled players an "edge" to move on with the story quests. Besides, at least on the server I use, grouping is rarely an option - I went through 3 whole planets from levels 35-48 without hardly seeing a single other person online there. I have a backlog of over a dozen Heroics I still haven't done because I couldn't find a group. This game may be an MMO, but the way the single player content is set up it can almost be considered KOTOR 3. I want to know what happens in these stories, and I don't want to break my suspension of disbelief just because Bioware figured they needed to weed out players by skill level at various stages of the single player campaign. Add more nightmare flashpoints or go solo a Heroic if you like an overwhelming challenge, but overpowering bosses at any level will simply drive away lower skilled players that should be making Bioware money and funding the updates and additions for the high-skill players that often don't care about anything other than PvP anyway. I've had two friends already quit playing over this never even paid for an additional month after buying the base game - it's why I'm bringing it up at all. These people were not that low-skilled with most other games - they'd play on "normal" difficulty in Dragon Age, Mass Effect, Skyrim, etc with few to no problems, yet felt completely overwhelmed by major points in this game. Heck, even I play Skyrim on "master" difficulty with very few issues and I have been having trouble with this game at several of the above mentioned points.

If Bioware doesn't want to drive off lower-skilled players and lose money they need to balance the challenge for the high-skilled hardcore gamers while making sure lower-skilled players can still enjoy the game.

  18. Even for bonus quests, if it indicates it's solo, it should be solo-able.

I don't think nerfing their abilities is the right move, there are weaknesses in how armor and companion AI work, as well as the amount of HP they're given. Instead of a boss having good tactics and AI, they just pump up their HP to compensate. Lowering the HP would still force you to learn good tactics (like interrupting, breaking from from incapacitating effects, etc) without death being a near certainty for anyone who isn't perfect.
