  1. First of all please get rid of the "Cannot occur more than once every x of seconds"

In my opinion a new direction is required.

    Suggestion 1:

Find the least used abilities and buff them through set bonuses(for example "Explosive round")

2-set bonus : Explosive round cost is reduced by 50%

    4-set bonus : Using explosive round grants you "x" surge/critical/etc for 10 seconds(stakcs up for 5 times)

6-set bonus : Using Demolition Round now also fire an explosive round (for less damange if you think it goes beyond your 5% buff)

    Suggestion 2:

Buff some skills by using a different approach:

2-set bonus : Demolition Round deals 25% more critical damage

4-set bonus : Supercharged Cell now lasts 5 more seconds

6-set bonus : Using Demolition Round under the effects of Supercharged Cell makes your next High Impact bolt to deal double(or 50% more) damage.

    Thank you for your time,

    Dimitris

  2. It's by far the easieft MMO i have ever played,

and i don't mean that i have millions of credits to buy things.

By easy what i mean is :

1)When you get a companion you can stay alive with the least possible effort

2)Class Stories are so easy that the only way to actually die is take your hands off the keyborad.

3)FP and SM raids are so easy that you don't even "have" to move out from the circles on the ground. You can just stay there, absorb the dmg and that's it.

4)You can get the 2nd best gear in the game, without ever stepping foot on a raid(and you get if fast as well).

Seriously IMO the game needs to tune up it's difficulty

  3. I love just how ppl say it costs only 10$ or 8E and consider it solid ground.

If each planet orginally cost 10$ then the whole game should cost like 140-160$ or 110-130E.Add class stories to that and make it 200$!!

Makeb is just another planet, don't think lesser or it,nor higher.

The 5 levels that according to EA/BW "will keep people busy for a fair amount of time" will be like 2-3 days for most.

After that, all of us are going to do the same stuff you do right now.Dailies,FP etc.

I hope at least they tune up current endgame raids and FP,or else we'll have probably 2 FP and 1 Operation as an endgame.

I like the game and want to see it expanding instead of "shrinking" but just because something costs "only 10$" doesn't mean that people can't argue about it.

  4. I got another - even greater idea-.

Rename the group finder to Loot finder ,queue and your time comes, just be rewarded with the loot! :p

Seriously though, the removal of tank, dps, heal seems highly unlikely for any MMO.

What they can do though,is to design some fights differently, for example defend an NPC (one of your factions leaders) or heal him, fight besides him, actually supporting him or even make a "last stand" kind of fight where all of your companions join the fight to defend something(your ship for example).Maybe your other legacy chars could join the fight(A.I controlled or no).

The game has so much potential but i feel everything EA does is copying mechanics(i'm tired of avoiding red circles on the ground,it's getting really old)copying subscription prices and never try to innovate anything.

Sometimes you have to take a risk.

Sometimes you must lead rather than follow.

  5. I doubt most EA/Bioware developers know what a Mega Drive is :p

This game has so much potential but ..... only thing they keep expanding patch after patch is the Cartel Market and the buglist...

Maybe the next patch with the reputation thing will be better(hope never dies right?)

One other thing....Can someone explain why all the item sets have the same set-bonuses?

I mean come on....seriously?It would take like an hour to think of a different set-bonus....

  6. I've played WoW for many years(Vanilla -> Cataclysm).

I can definately say that Swtor has a more manture community, people are willing to help, explain tactcs, have more patience etc.

I think that's because the overall age of the players here is a lot higher than WoW.There are many people 25 or 30+ here and while it's not necessary that maturity comes with age,age remains a pretty solid indication.

There will always be trolls and people harrassing others, but at the moment this whole thing is pretty bearable and has nothing, absolutely nothing to do with what was happening in WoW.

Bad news is that ,the WoW community was better in vanilla and declined over the years and i can already see a decline since the F2P launched(Racists/Sexism conversations never took place when i was lvling at launch-at least on my server).

I guess its natural and if that could be the bottom of the barrel for Swtor,it would satisfactory(for me at least).

    For the OP:

Since you got a condition history, find a good friendly guild and make friendships in there. It helped me a lot in WoW,couldn't have stayed all these years without my friendly guildies offering a lot of hilarious moments in raids and hcs :)

For the new people playing the game :

    1)Be polite

    2)Whisper before randomly inviting people

3)Don't be afraid to tell to your group or guild that you are new to the game and don't know tacts or stuff.

There are always people willing to help you if you stick to n1 rule.

  7. You don't even need to be that great at coding to scoff at

    1) How poorly the game runs, even on high end machines

    2) LOL ALPHA HERO ENGINE

    3) Their inability to fix ANYTHING in their game in a timely manner

    4) When they do fix something, they manage to break something else

    .

    Totally Agree.

I don't possess the necessary knowledge to pinpoint where the problem is,but it's pretty obvious that the game could use a lot of optimization/fixes.

For those of you that think devepolers/coders working on games are doing everything better than someone who plays the game and has coding knowledge,a reminder that it was a user made file that boosted Skyrim performance almost by 50% and "forcing" Bethesda to include that fix in the next major patch(1.5 if i am not mistaken).

Imo EA/Bioware is either focusing on the expansion and wants to include the bug fixes there or not working on the bugs at all due to lack of resources(i can't really believe that bugs like misfiring are being ignored for so many months).

  8. Dude,i can understand your frustration since you didn't notice that they allowed 3 space mission per week to non-subscribers.

I agree that 3 are too few, they can adjust this to 5 like the WZ and allow one raid per week through the finder(since you can get the same gear through columi comms anyway - but just to allow F2P players to see the Operations in Swtor).

But you subscribed for months, then unsubscribed, used 7000 CP for unlocks(neardly 50e) - and then subscribed again...

I'm sorry to be the one to tell you that you probably did exactly what they wanted.....

You need to learn to plan ahead :)

  9. 100% Agree with you, more info should and could have been released.

More information on endgame,FP,pvp, new class ablities or talents could and should have been released.

These stuff should already beem worked on a certain degree so far,so there should be more info on them for release.

So it's either that there is not much to tell about the expansion, because it doesn't offer anything that is worth mentioning or just bad marketing.

My guess is that the 5 early days access will be more than enough for ppl to reach the lvl cap and continue running dailies just like now, while experiencing tons of new bugs in the meantime...

On the other hand,i could be wrong and the x-pac comes with new minigames, tons of stuff to do,new content that it takes quite a while to finish, replayability, more customization options and tremendous bug fixing and game optimization...

Which one sounds more realistic? :p

  10. Good list of successes, too bad that's pretty much all anyone can say good about the game after a year.

While I don't disagree with your failures, I feel these were even bigger failures:

1)Multiple individual story line concept with dialog now proving to be too hard/expensive to continue with expansions

Couldn't agree more.Especially now that the game has gone F2P,the game's biggest advantage has become it's greatest problem.

What happens to the VA story and questing from now on is something to be seen, although i consider it highly unlikely that we'll see more of it soon(Probably the success or failure or Hutt Cartel expansion will be a major factor)

  11. that number 2 really made me mad. srsly the choosing the different options made no difference. makign light side/fdarkside options close to useless

i dont get how they failed the lightside/darkside so much in a game dealing so much with right and wrong

This too,but what i actually meant is that :

you spare a Sith/Jedi/villain and 99% of the times you never get to see that character again in the game and he plays absolutely no part at all in the rest of your story/game

    or

Talk to a guy about a quest and 3 dialog choices appear.None of them matters as they all progress you towards the same linear dialog tree of Accept - Refuse.

You cannot negotiate for a better/different reward, another way to complete the quest, you can never unlock a lore entry or any other entry by a dialog choice and cannot infuelnce this npc behaviour towards you in any way.

Some might say that i'm asking a lot,but what is the meaning of dialogue if there is only 1 outcome?

Companion affection would be a solid reason but since you can fill them with gifts what is the reason of choice and consequense?.

By consequence i mean something lke :

A reputation system for sparing(or not) an underworld boss or a pirate leader or a sith that would unlock some quests/vendors/areas or make some hostile npcs friendly and vise versa.

Maybe recruit them to your cause or even your ship be a later part of the story or even grant some minor passive buff.

  12. I think some of the stories are great but my biggest issue (have played almost all classes to 50) is that the stories are too and I don't mean to offend anyone but the stories are for kids.

Everything is so cheesy, every plot turn is so predictable and it's just so... if I were 13 yeras younger I think I would have enjoyed the stories a lot more.

There just isnt any interesting character developemnt, everything is just so linear.. its just so unreal and I dont mean unreal because its sci fi but its unreal because every character is so cheesy and uninteresting.

I don't mean to crack on all the stories because a lot of it is cool but when you sit down and look at the total of it... I dunno Bioware just isnt very good or is at least not showing us that they are good at writing actually deep stories but on the other hand.. its a PG game so that might have something to do with it as well.

I agree the stories feel somehow childish and looks like they were made for an audience of a certain age.

That is weird considering the star wars universe has a large adult fanbase, not only cause the original movies were released decades ago and the fanbase has been growing ever since, but there have been posts around asking the age of players and i can tell for sure that the average age is a lot higher than WoW for example.

What's even worse is that although it's somehow based on the single player KoToR games,it feels a lot more cheesier and has a much "lighter" tone that both of the games.

It feels much nicer though to evolve your character around a story ,than to just run around and complete random quests like in other mmo's.

For the record,i would definately love to see the story going down a darker path(like Mass Effect for example).

  13. Almost a year since launch.

Pretty solid timeline to see where the game was great and where it failed.

Personally im feeling it succeded in :

    1)Companion system

2)Storytelling/Dialog(even if some of the stories weren't great, the whole idea of a personal saga felt nice)

3)Legacy(As an idea, could use a lot of work though)

    if failed :

1)It's too linear.lvling alts in the exact same places gets really boring.

2)Dialog Choices with no consequenses(There is an illusion of choice, while in truth, the outcome is 99% the same)

3)Game is too easy(FP and Raids are too easy, gearing up is too easy, there is rarely a challenge in PvE)

    Bonus failure(sry couldnt hold myself :p) :

Graphic/game engine(it looks wayyyy too outdated and buggy.I'll gladly pay a reasonable sum if the graphics engine could be largely updated or even better replaced with a really good looking modern one).

  14. Probably something like :

1)PvP or Multiplayer PvE Space Combat

2)Introduce a new minigame(either Pazaak or Pod Racing) and adding PvP to it as well.

    3)At least 1 new species.

4)2 or 3 raids with 2 new Tiers.

5)Some kind of a faction choice on the planet(with permament consequenses on your char),so that it adds replayability

6)Increased Proffesions cap with higher difficulty crafting.

7)2 new Companions(They can be aliens if VA is the problem).

8)A LOT of new legacy perks

9)FP that "almost"conclude every area story(connected with each other, but always leaving a small bit of story to be concluded either in the HM FP version or in a raid)

The list can go on and on...but at least "some" of these will make it worthwhile...

Don't forget that even if it's not a "normal" expansion,it's supposed to add some solid gameplay duration.

Seriously,no one wants to find himself capping the lvl in 1-3 days and then just running dailies(aka exactly what everyone is doing right now) and nothing more.

Edit/Tip : Giving away at least 10 days of game time with the expansion could somehow soften the angry community ;)

  15. 1. Game engine optimization for Graphics and Fps(Dx11/64bit client/View Distance fix/Improve the water plz..etc)

    2. A lot more customization options(moddable and customizable ships/characters/companions/gear etc)

    3. A LOT more lively worlds(cycle day-night,moving parts,nature,battles,animals,npcs,events,worlds changing around you)

    +1 to Space exploration

    AND

Making a Permament choice to train 1 companion to the ways of the force(and thus, changing his class to a Jedi of your choice while retaining some of his abilities aka - Elara Dorne Jedi Consular/Healer) - Expand on this idea.
