  1. Maybe adding a "Heroic Class-Story Mode" where you can go back and do all of the phased main story quests again. All the enemies are between 45-50 in your phased stories.

    1. 1) Reacquiring companions would be a weird issue. Maybe for the mission you get them from you temporarily can't use that companion? Or certain planets you can't use certain companions (Like you can't use Ashara on Taris during Heroic Act 2, etc)

    2. 2) Rewards for mission complete could be Daily Comms, new companion customizations/items, plentiful credits, the ability to reacquire some special pieces of gear you might have sold or deleted and maybe add in some new ones to encourage people to go through and re-acquire them.

I agree entirely. Give out Black Hole comms, and this would give solo players something to do at 50, and also make use of all that voice acting talent that would otherwise never be heard again.

  2. I'm currently playing a hybrid tank Guardian in full Campaign level gear. I actively perform well in ops, and although AOE threat isn't one of a Guardian's strongsuits, I make use of Guardian leap quite effectively to help me manage. I was going through the PVP armor set bonuses and noticed that the first Vindicator set bonus gives the following:

Intercede or Guardian Leap heals you for 8% of your total health.

As we all know, Guardians, unlike other tanks, lack a self-heal (one that doesn't drop aggro anyway). With about 25000 HP this set bonus would give a Guardian a self-heal for around 2000 HP, not to mention protecting and dropping the threat of an ally. Additionally, if Enure and/or a Medpac are popped giving us a temporary max health increase, this set bonus has the potential to heal anywhere from 2500 to 3000 HP. As I am already at ~26k health myself and hit the ideal 27/50/50 goals for defensive stats, I have little else to do but stack endurance from here on out. Would replacing two Campaign War Leader armorings for two PVP War Hero Vindicator armorings to get the set bonus be worth the loss of 520 HP in exchange for a substantial self-heal? Any input would be appreciated!

  3. I've been on Hedarr Soongh since pre-release building my character's legacy and making alts. Shortly after launch, a great many servers were added to alleviate the queue times on original servers like mine, allowing the population to spread out and causing the situation that we currently face with ghost servers. Now our server's population is very light, and it's generally just me and my guildmates on the fleet when we run ops or attempt to queue for PVP.

Many of us have been on this server since pre-launch, and would love nothing more than to keep our character and legacy names. Why not reward your most loyal players by targeting original launch servers with the "oldest" playerbases for transfers? This way, the preorder incentive to be there for pre-lauch in order to grab character names first won't be diminished and those of us playing the longest would reap the benefits of keeping their names and not having to restructure guilds.

I think this would be the most fair way to structure transfers, but I'm sure there are other opinions out there. What do you guys think?

  4. Maybe I'm missing something, but I have yet to see any solid green crystals with stats above level 50 (+41 stats and up) with the exception of expertise which was purchasable during the pre-1.2 crystal promotion. I have not been able to find the schematics for them or items with pullable solid green crystals either. I have thoroughly checked TORhead and other itemization sites, but none of them have been helpful (they just give me unmoddable items using the crystals, none of which I can use). Could someone please let me know where to get one if they exist? If not, was this just an oversight on Bioware's part (and if so, could they please add the drops to the game appropriately)?

Also, I'm not interested in the Rachgoul vendor crystals. I would just love a simple solid green endurance crystal appropriate for my Rakata-geared Guardian. Thanks! :D

  5. At least it is good to hear you are discussing this as something you'd like to add. :)

I have mentioned this in the past, and I believe that you guys should add something like this:

    Augmentation Device

    Consumable

This device can be used to craft a single Augment slot onto an item. Consumed on use.

This in response to the upcoming changes where crit-crafted custom items would gain an Augment slot. While this is great, it would again shoe-horn people into a very limited selection of looks if they want to have 'best in slot' items for endgame and not only completely devalue their carefully amassed pieces of gear in order to look unique; but also every piece of custom gear that can be obtained through drops and from specialty/commendation vendors, as well as the new and upcoming endgame PvE/PvP gear.

Just when BioWare wanted to open up the Armoring slots and such so people could place them into their favorite gear; they again fall back to the same limitations and create the same problem of the 'clone syndrome' all over again.

The Augmentation Device could be created by certain Crew Skills (making these Crew Skills more worthwhile to get), works as a consumable and would apply a single augment slot to a piece of armor by the person that uses it.

With just this small change you not only increase the relevance of Augments by 100%, but it also provides the means for other people to put Augment slots onto their existing gear that has no augment (which is every single item dropped by random mobs and endgame gear). Lastly, it would level the field for everyone and allow people to craft Augment slots onto their favorite gear (my Jedi Battlelord set comes to mind for me personally).

The Augmentation Device would instantly increase the revenue of Augments and accompanying Crew Skills that can obtain/craft Augments and the Crew Skill(s) that could craft Augmentation Devices and allow for everyone to look how they want to look without being forced to look like a clone (again).

Also, the Augmentation Device would not diminish the overall value of crit-crafted Custom gear as people could still choose between buying the higher priced crit-crafted item or their regular counterpart (often made by the same person) and buy a separate Augmentation Device to achieve the same result.

Lastly, the mechanics for such a device are already in place as people responded that a similar item was already in Beta, but removed when the game went Live.

    • And before the Synthweavers/Armormechs come along complaining that it would still diminish their precious and rare crit-crafted items; ask yourself this: What do you do with all those regular crafted items you made before you got lucky and crit-crafted one?

    • So instead of asking, say, 250k for a crit-crafted piece but seeing no sales at all for your (wasted) 50k regular versions that nobody cares about; with Augmentation Device consumables you could sell both the regular versions at 50k and the crit-crafted versions at 75k (imaginary values just for the sake of comparison); resulting into a better overall net yield by being able to sell both your regular items and the crit-crafted ones.

    • I know you're now going to tell me that it would be unfair regarding the number of custom gear that can drop in Flashpoints/mobs or purchased from Specialty/Commendation vendors; which would make you 'miss out' on potential customers. Not so when you can also make an Augmentation Device. That way people can be allowed the choice of purchasing new gear with an augment slot (crafted by you), or retrofit existing gear with an Augmentation Device (also crafted by you).

    :csw_bluesaber::):csw_redsaber:

This is an excellent idea. The thought of having to reacquire my entire Jedi Battlelord set is frightening, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who's been collecting orange sets. Let crafters make individual versions devices for each of their respective fields and you'll also encourage economic growth.

Looking how I want is great, but I still need to be viable with these augmentation slots!

  6. I'm currently trying to get this set myself. I have everything but the belt, bracers, and gloves, and I've been checking the GTN like a madman every hour or so looking for these pieces to no avail.

I can't wait until they change the modding system to where I can make this set viable at endgame and even in PVP if they iron out the expertise stat. I'll probably wear it even if they don't to be honest because to me, this IS the definitive heavy-armor battle Jedi look, not the space samurai scuba suit I'm begrudgingly grinding dailies for.

  7. I'm still waiting to her an Imperial March cue somewhere.

That Empire won't exist for another several thousand years. Using the Galactic Empire's theme would be inappropriate. Besides, this Empire already has an awesome theme.

And also, similar themes in music are bothered from other sources all the time, and unless it's blatant ripoff it's completely legal. It's called inspiration.
