  1. Haven't you heard this one million times?

AMD sucks for this game. Four cores, eight cores, soon-to-be sixteen cores. They all suck for this game, because SWTOR runs on the Hero Engine, which was predominantly used by dual core processors back years ago. So, get an intel i5 or a pentium g3258 for a decent swtor experience.

Haven't you heard that the OP said nothing about using an AMD CPU, but rather a GPU?

@OP Are your clock speeds jumping around? I had this issue with my 290 when the clock speeds would jump.

  2. I don't run straight up to them, lets say if they're guarding an objective. Or something like that. And yeah, I know Valor doesn't measure skill. I'm just saying I have enough experience to know what I'm talking about.

Sounds like you've got no clue. I've met plenty of high rank people in WAR, SWTOR, DAOC that knew diddly squat. Every class has a weakness.

  3. I pre-ordered the collector's edition, got friends together and advertised myself for a guild. My friends were the first to fail, going back to WoW, no guild has shown interest. You would think I'd have covered my bases at least to an extent that would land me in a good group once in a while.

I have forced myself to be patient, spamming chat for up to an hour at times. I've kept myself from complaining about the horrible lack of incentives this game has for playing with thy fellow man - until now.

I paid a lot of money for a single player experience with the increasingly rare group experience outside of PvP. I even quit for a week, only logging in for an hour to get a group at peak hours, and only to be unsuccessful.

You can tell me I'm crazy if you want, and that grouping is easy (for you), but clearly I'm not fabricating this from my imagination, and I know there are others that stand with me, but have probably already lost interest in SWTOR.

I'm leaving, for now, and will inevitably return when there are either more people playing, or Bioware quits making, in my own opinion:mad:, the sad excuse that lack of group incentives and pairing systems is a purposeful decision to make the game more challenging (translation: frustrating). Until then, I'd like there to be more awareness to this problem that effects more people than most of you might think.

Edit - P.S. I don't want to give anyone the wrong idea, swtor is still a great game!

I too, have given up. This game is masquerading as a multiplayer. Oh yes, there are others on my screen, but it's much easier to level up by myself.

  4. I love this game enough to endure playing hours on end with 1-2 FPS on average. I meet all system requirements, have FiOS, and have done any little repair/ adjustment to my comp. It is really your servers, not my comp. I hope a fix comes soon because the customer service on this is rapid but of no help at all. Thank you.

You meet minimum or recommended requirements? It's mostly the client.

  5. It's weird, because I was told a while ago, and even confirmed recently, that my graphics card, a Radeon HD 5570, should have ABSOLUTELY NO TROUBLE running this game on maximum settings. But high-render areas, and especially warzones, kill me in the performance department, even with shadows off.

How is it that my card can run Dead Space 2 and Witcher 2 just fine, but struggles with this?

Different genres, different engines. The companies that produce both of those games are not looking to run multiplayer for thousands like an MMO.

  6. They got there money, now there gonna run, like every other MMO that's come out there gonna let it die out and take the money, its the new marketing plan.

    Unlikely.

Sadly, I'm still impressed to see these "OMG THEY'RE GOING TO LET IT DIE" arghablarghl posts.
