  1. Nope. Then I would only like to thank you for funding my favorite game sir.

It was my pleasure, it was and always will be an amazing game. Graphics may not have been great and gameplay (minus some crucial fleet battles) may have been dull. However, the devs have a vision for that game that I would love to see them achieve. I only hope the devs here are aspiring for greatness and I think they are but only time can tell.

  2. I played (and still am) EVE from 2003. So you just sat docked inside the station all the time chatting?

Somehow i find that very hard to belive.

EVE doesnt need to grow, it is and allways will be a underground MMO and thats perfect!

No I didn't chat I paid and never logged in. Find that hard to believe? Tough $hit, it happened.

I never said it needed to grow, I said I wanted it to grow. Any other questions?

  3. Yet your posting here and still subbed....

I'm also here and still subbed to a semi sub par restrictive mmo.

Sometimes when you want something to be great you invest in it. Sometimes you invest in it with no gaurantee of return. It seperates true fans from fanboi haters like yourself.

It's understandable if your allowance is important to you and you only spend it on things that you deem to be perfect for your needs.

  4. Mask of Nihilus. :)

See, that sounds epic that is what this should be. I play on Bondar and Farkran Crystal (spelling is off sorry). It should be a war... hence Star Wars. I might have to reroll once I figure which faction is the under dog on that server. Thanks very much. :)

  5. I hope this game never kills wow, I hope wow keeps however many millions it is going to keep. You know why? Because I don't want their insanity ruining this game as well. thanks.

I can agree, believe me if you look at my join date you'll know I'm not a troll and I want the game to succeed. I also played SWG and have always been a Star Wars fan.

  6. The lowest pop count I've seen since launch was 45 on Korriban and the highest was 650 at fleet. Every zone I'm in has at least 90 now and most are typically in the 165 to 200 range.

You are crazy! What server is that exactly??? I've seen nothing even remotely close to those numbers....

Maybe I need to reroll? Please reply with what server. Thanks in advance.

  7. Ah, MMO Noobs. If you didn't play UO, then yes your noob. Played WOW Since release?....your especially a noob. Warhammer Online was truly the wow killer, everything about it had the potential to slay WOW.

This game also has the potential to destroy WOW as well. Unfortunately it won't and I might remind all of you this game has not been out more than two months.

SWTOR has been out less than two months! Warhammer was more epic at two months than this will ever be, and guess what? It failed....

Warhammer had epic pvp battles. EPIC pvp battles and everyone still left but only after 6 months of slaughter. They left because of glaring design issues.

People left Warhammer because of obvious design flaws, despite a lot of fun that was had!

Why is there no opportunity for me to encounter the opposing faction on Taris??? Is there a good reason.... Nope.

I'm paying for one more month because I want this game to succeed.

I paid for EVE for many months and never played or skilled just because I liked the detail and depth of the game and would have liked to see it grow.

I'm not feeling very charitable anymore and I hope Mythicware can turn this snooze fest around before I lose all hope.

Don't forget this game is still new and new player sales will probably sustain the game through the first 2-4 months. After that it's gonna be sink or swim. I Hope a dev reads my comment and puts some boots in some @sses.

  8. @50, you are able to do some pretty epic stuff. I'll enlighten your world a bit.

On Alderaan, there is a world boss that drops a white crystal. You need 2 50s to kill that. While you are there you might as well go to the tatooine world boss and solo that guy. He drops like 3 epics.

If you save up your pvp bags from dailys and all other boxes and bags until you are in a warzone, then you are more likely to get epics.

If you are on a PvP server, you can just go destroy other side on tatooine or alderaan or save your people from geting ganked while you do some pvping, as well as do some hard mode flashpoints for gear as well as make friends with healers, dps, and tanks to increase the numbers in your guild or if you have no comitment to the guild, other guilds are looking for vital roles such as healers. I don't know about you, but healers on my server are light.

You are also able to solo many flashpoints and able to sell gear and what not for creds. I think you can easilly solo foundry @ 50 meaning you have access to quite a few oranges and epics. YOu'll most likely make about 10-20k each run.

Also, I would google swtor exploits. They can tell you a lot about the game =D

So your advice to this guy is to go exploit because it makes the game "fun". Nice, now I see why I'm called a troll for disliking this game and it's problems.

  9. Ive been reading across the forums and all i see is people complaining/whining about the game. Some guy in the crew skills forum said he cancelled his sub because of the slicing nerf. Seriously?

Ive been playing MMO's for over 10 years now, i have been around for several game launches. Not one of them has gone as smooth as biowares launch of ToR. Just because most of you are spoiled because of a game being out 5+ years and loads of content doesnt make it a comparison for a game thats been out all of 3 weeks. I think they have done a fine job at the game, granted their are a few bugs and i'm sure in time they will get ironed out.

WoW had major server problems for weeks on launch. AC2 had a tremendous amount of bugs and gltches, way more than this game. Shadowbane was even worse, it was fun to pvp but there was no content for months! I wont even get into to Warhammer, which was a giant mess.

I saw someone complaining about high end content. Well good for you hitting 50 in 3 days, most of the world doesnt sit by a computer for 18 hours a day playing Tor to hit 50 in 3 days and then complain about the endgame content. They have a few raids and high end instances, again the game is 3 WEEKS OLD. What other game on launch had over two raids and several high end content? WoW had MC but it wasnt accessable or completeable for months after launch. LOTRO had ONE raid and ONE high end instance. Shadowbane had no content. AC2 had no content at launch. Seriously people this game isnt perfect but its a far cry better than anything else ive played at launch.

Be patient, give it time. Bioware are humans just like you and me. Fixes take time and effort. Go get some fresh air in the meantime. This isnt WoW, this isnt DAOC, this is Star Wars the Old Republic and they have done a fine job and providing you with a playable game with loads of content upon launch and have addressed some concerns within a 3 week window. Give them some credit.

Alot of the Bioware hate is actually misplaced. A lot of things people don't like is probably not Biowares fault. Don't get me wrong some is. However, Mythic who developed Warhammer Online (we all know how that went) was brought over to Bioware to "help" with this game.

Who had more experience designing mmos?

    A. Mythic

    B. Bioware

    The answer is obviously A.

That is why your seeing some of the same bugs and mistakes that were and still are in Warhammer Online.

The truth is EA looked to Mythic because they had some experience in this sort of thing.

List of similar bugs in Warhammer and TOR:

    Ability delay

    Faction balance

    Class balance

    Weapons not drawn/put away

    Buggy stuttering mobs in pve

Getting hung up on environment (rocks, tables etc.)

Effect graphics not going away (pc stays glowing green after heal etc.)

    Auction house

    Crafting poorly thought out.

You get the idea I won't go on but there are alot more that are eerily similar. For me I still love Biowares games.

  10. News flash..MMO community usually suck and are full of trolls it's just what they attract i mean put yourself in the mind of a troll...dozens of people just walking around in a video game trying to have fun that i can just pop in and say anything or spell out a sentance totaly wrong and make them so angry they might killl themselves Sign me up!.It's just how it gose in MMO's or in most if not all online community's in general :see x-box live:

    It's sentence nub!

  11. i sometimes wonder if you guys have ever been in the launch of a new MMO. I was there when wow launched and i remembered at least 2-3 weeks of barely being able to play the game not to mention the massive amount of disconnects. maintenance cycles that took nearly the entire day resulting in free days. it was almost a year after wow launched before they stopped giving out free days due to issues.

you guys keep saying its 2012 not 2004.. guess what. despite the fact that MMO's have hit the market now for about 12 years. its still the most under represented type of game in development for developers. their are no classes or previous games to learn from as most are still in exsistance and don't share information out to their competition. so the only way anyone NEW to the industry has to learn is trial and error. this isn't a FPS game that is produced by the same team every 2 years.

do you see everquests engine on the market? eve online? how about world of warcraft? Asherons Call 2? (hey it was canceled!) these companies keep their secrets guarded close to their chest and the best anyone can do is hire previous employee's who worked on an MMO for their experience which are very few people on the whole. and when they are hired due to the scope of an MMO your getting very little experience that was more than likely focused in a single area of the game. (aka dungeon designer, who doesnt mess with art, sound, networking, server, feature development .. and the list continues)

due to the small amount of MMO's that have launched some successful and some not so successful. we can only watch as the field grows and flourishes as those who make these types of game gain the experience needed to give us the consumers the game we want to play in the future.. it only takes time.

If you knew how some of the people now at the top of this game wrecked Warhammer Online...

  12. Someone tell me the difference between this and any game on Xbox live.

My first PC was a Commodore 64, so no I'm not a console gamer. Grew up on PC.

Oh wow your right I can do raids with up to 16 people?

    Yeah sounds like Xbox.

Whats that there's alot of people standing around in fleet (AFK)?

Everywhere else is instanced and empty.

    Really you can craft?

Crafting is nearly pointless since you can always get better gear from raiding.

Oh I get to give bioware/mythic $15 a month to hope they fix bugs/add content?

For some of you there are no bugs. As for me I think I'll trust Jerry the crack head to go to the store for me with my $15 a month. I trust him more than a greedy corporation.

No sarcasm was intentionally harmed in the writing of this post.

Many of us have played single player games. For example I love Dragon Age. Now, you don't see me on here complaining about Dragon Age. Dragon Age is single player and that was what I expected it to be. Now they give us Dragon Age with Star Wars skins and what equates to Xbox live multiplayer. Very little is massive or epic about this game and everything is instanced which means the most players I'm ever going to interact with is like 10 people (except for fleet where I can see people standing around picking their A**es). I wouldn't pay $15 a month for any of my Xbox games. I see no value in it.

  14. Strong reading comprehension...

No where in that post did I mention money constraints as the reason people are quitting.

You'er also bright, you directly speak about the value of the game being $15/month and that it is worth it. Did you mention anything about money constraints?? Yes.

For some of us it's not a matter of price it's a matter of principle.

  15. Anyone else find it funny more people have said yes , this game is worth 15 dollars / month?

I mean.. consider the fact the minority (the haters) are going to be much more vocal.. and yet.. they still get out voted.. even on the forums!

    lmao :D

I find it funny that you think money has anything to do with whether we play or not. I have tons of money I just don't enjoy the game because it's a piece of ****.
