  1. First, welcome back!

Fancy thing about those pilot suits is they are legacy bound (you can mail them betwen characters) and moddable (you can insert armorings/mods/enhancements in them and upgrade them as you want).

    On relevant note:

    - For leveling it's preferable buying armorings/mods/enhancements for Basic Commendations (they have increased the amount for class missions - always choose those as reward - and in the same time decreased prices for modifications) and upgrade your armor in this fashion. Vendors are in the Supplies section on the fleet.

    - With Outfit designer (in your Character sheet) you can use whatever you want for looks and your actual stats have in different armor - like those pilot suits.

Thank you. It sounds like you're saying get armor they way I used to, using comms.?

  2. People, stop buying the crack. It's like walking into North Philly and buying crack only to know you just bought baby powder with a hint of Ajax. Look at it like this, if you stop supplying the slobs that run this game, you'll cut them off and they'll go away, simple. End this madness and embrace a wealth of new games just around the corner. I will now be given yet another warning for speaking the truth. I have become EA, destroyer of all gaming worlds.
  3. I think it's abysmal they are selling this set again. It laughs in the face of all those who "earned" the real sets during the Gree event. I never participated in the event but sure as hell won't buy this set out of respect for those who trully earned it. This BioEA company is just ruthless and has no regard for it's player base. Hey man, it's all business, right?
  4. Have you considered leaving the game altogether, then? I'm saying this in all seriousness. This is not a "Get out if you don't like it" rant at all. You have my utmost respect for persevering, I've just noticed this sentiment a lot and don't quite understand it. In general terms, i.e.: I'm not picking on you personally, a "Jaded Player" is not so fun to have around because they become very impatient to rush ahead. So you encounter the "Press the spacebar!" kind of behavior.

It's not that I don't understand being frustrated by the game. My pet peeve is when I have to kill a bunch of Bad Guys on the way in to an objective, then achieve the objective, and half the time I have to re-kill the exact same re-spawned Bad Guys on the way out! That seems inefficient to me and I have chalked it up to another incident of somewhat poor game design, but still: I feel the edges of boredom creeping in when that happens.

And I also know that some of you level SO FAST that it is just about impossible to keep up with you and also impossible for you to maintain enthusiasm for a game you have conquered so quickly. It's just that from my perspective as someone who plods along slowly, this game is not my new best friend. When the time comes that I am bored with it, I will drop it in a heartbeat.

Now if only I could transfer my credits and coins to the next game....

I appreciate not calling me out on this. I have unsubscribed , still have a few weeks left. I did love the game, once, just not anymore.

  5. Okay friend. Ghost town in 4 years.

    http://www.polygon.com/2013/5/28/4374230/blizzard-titan-next-gen-mmo

Blizzard reportedly resets development of Titan, its next-generation MMO (update)

"According to the report, Blizzard has whittled down the 100-person Titan development team to just 30 staffers, reassigning the rest to other projects."

Probably will be the same from EQNext. When's the last time you heard anything from SOE about that game?

keep dreaming, Pal. EQ Next is real and on the hunt.

  6. Everyone keeps saying "you can't make everyone happy." Great analysis. The problem is they're making very few people happy. How many paying subscriptions do they have? Increasing? Decreasing? That decides if they're making the right people happy. I started playing the game with 7 people...we all left and only play once in a while because it's F2P and we never spend a penny on the cartel items. I'd take a guess that's what happened to the majority (more than 50%) of players.

The game is EXTREMLY limited (reach level cap and only one thing left to do...grind gear out). Once Sony's EQ Next and Blizzard's Project Titan are released ToR will be a ghost town IMO.

Project Titan has been delayed indefinitely, however, EQ Next will smoke this thing.

  7. Maybe it's there to protect you from yourself? Then again, EA is a for-profit company so that theory doesn't fly.

I think they are trying to figure out how to disable their lockout. I can't imagine them turning money away so that they can add all the new content like in 2.2!

  8. i'll be around till 8/27/13 Then cancel, and remove game been here since beta hate to do it but i'm through with this game, shame really wanted to see it survive and flourish but shame the parent company does not have the same feeling.

Interesting date. ARR comes out on that day.
