  1. Ok let me try to understand you prolly rage quit deleting 5 chars and now your upset you had to wait to get them back....

Do you remember your last post in May 4 2012....if not here it is....

"I only agree with the lack of players to play with and loading screens, i stopped at GW2 fanboism.

Anyway I voted with my wallet out today. too bad cause i like this game, but I cringe everytime i have to play against my own faction or see empty chat, or see same old faces in wzs. And yes i rerolled about 3 times and played on different servers. The only one that was a good choice was Fatman us, but since I don't like pings of 110ish ms I stopped. Do not have time to waste on gearing up characters that will just stand around in fleet all day. I guess its back to BF3 and some other outside gaming hobbies. "

Just sit back an wait Bioware will get to ya.

  2. This is great news, after my 12th toon, like 5 or 6 has got all the datacrons......this is GREAT news!!!

And this is purely what I think they will do with the new system, some of them may be mastery based but I think they will throw in some secondary stats like crit, absorption, shield, power, so on. Regardless of how they do the system, after getting them soooo many times on multiple toons I welcome this change, Thanks again BW :)

  3. Well if you hover the cursor over the forum name..the number that shows is the number of which you got the account 2326272 is the OPs.....your getting all the features you paid for and then some. The game has vastly improved and continues to do so, well imo anyway.

Pay the sub no restrictions if not be F2P and if you don't like that stop playing youll be happier.

  4. In another game, in a galaxy far away I played a BH pretty much exclusively and as much I would like to see a system like that again it just wouldn't work in a game like this, sure you could make it so the only way you get a bounty on you is killing another playing, excluding the PVE only players from being hunted.

But this game is instanced so if their instance is full you'll never get them. Part of the fun for me was hunting them down, droids finding the planet, getting to the planet and stalking them. Not to mention most PvP players I know hang in their houses or on fleet. So that in its self would kill it. The servers are PVP/PVE so on PVP everyone is red no need for bounty to kill em. Plus the majority of players don't want it, it was voted on long ago and most players voted no. It just wouldn't work, for many other reasons, as much as I would like it :)

  5. I know there's bolster. I also know there's plenty of people that scream and cry and take their balls and go home whenever they get people in their group in pve gear.

I know I stopped caring what others in this game say, there will always be ppl who complain, there will always be those who forget games are for fun and think that that being the "best" in a video game is a great accomplishment. Best thing to do is just ignore and play the game and have fun.

  6. I posted this earlier and well it sums up why, not saying I wouldn't resub but ATM games no longer "fun". Have 8 toons out of which 3 55's, 3 50's, 1 47, 1 38.

To all that knew me thanks for the goodtimes, kicking my BH's arse in WZ's. Played on Bastion (Yogo). Mercs keep up the good fight hopefully they make the class viable. But in a nutshell here is why for me anyway.

First not sure why a handful of the posters defend this game as if they are the League of SWTOR defenders,(LoSD)

Well as if a light went into the sky signaling SWTOR's in trouble the caped defenders of the game swoop in and make a post as if their opinions matter more than someone else.

Only 3 MMO's have large sub bases that still exist(SWTOR just reported 500k subs 2nd largest sub base in U.S. if they published now just one month later, well that number would be interesting), out of those other 2 MMO's one of em can fart the total number of subs in one month that SWTOR only saw at launch. The other has a stable sub base, both of them have lasted a long time. Why? they a make a sub well worth it.

This is my last day to post and I didn't unsub because of the CM, I unsubbed because the quality of the content is very lacking, MMO's have become just gear grinds, other than this there is nothing keeping ppl logging in everyday to experience an online world, which in SWTOR with all its planets and such ppl still tend to hang on the Fleet at end game waiting for ques to pop.

They put most new items in the CM, neglect crafting, don't add new drops to bosses, PVP is very stale in this game. The amount of revenue that SWTOR generates in no way reflects the quality of the content we get. Its amazing that the game companies have conditioned ppl to just accept it as the "New Buisness Model" pay more for less.

The newer MMO's coming out are definitely not following this type of model (if you don't belive me look at em), they realize the importance of stable sub base and value them. SWTOR has so many in game systems that where in at launch that have been sorely neglected and would have been great systems to keep ppl wanting to log into the game. They went another route and imo has backfired on them, they strayed from quality content and went the instant satisfaction type of game.

When I started playing MMO's ( i'm 42 so a while ago) some of my sub went into game development, and always looked forward to patch day, always paid for the expansions because they would add things to the game to keep you playing and experiencing the world not just one area called the main HUB ie. the fleet. Not just dailies, not grinding comms for gear and if you know no other way you haven't played the type of MMOs I am talking about a living world.

I can agree MMO's are trying a new idea that if you look it, its not working for long term investment they rely on short turn gains, and a revolving door of ppl. If you look at more recent MMO's they eventually fade because the population has tried it some hardcore fanboy's stay but most play for a few months and move on. That's not the type of MMO for me (being the last game I subbed to was for 8 years, and I looked forward to logging in) hopefully the MMO genera changes back to giving the players content they to want log in and experience the world. Several of the new MMOs are doing just that.

I had fun in this games beginning and it felt like Star Wars, now not so much. ( I am BH who doesn't take bounties as an example) Hopefully BW makes the changes needed to attract and keep a player base.

Ohh Andryah write my name on your lil list you keep....

I actually keep a list on a notepad next to my comp. Why? So I can go back in a month or two and remind them that they were being deceptive about staying subbed.

    See Ya,

Beams the trouble light into the sky......here comes LoSD to save the day

  7. Its the same as a religious or political debate. It doesnt get heated as long as people simply share their views. The trouble starts when one person tries to belittle the others position or tries to sway them to their side.

Thats what is going on here. Player A is trying to convince player B that item X is fluff, not content or content, not fluff, then hurls an insult or two, and the fight is on.

Simple as this IMO: If you are having fun in a game and playing it doesnt conflict with any moral code or ethical stand you have, play it. If you arent having fun or feel guilty while you are playing it, then dont. /shrug

    M

    Very True.

The forums are a place for ppl to voice opinions about the game, feedback is good because Player base makes or breaks an MMO. Some of the posters here say they are about that and seem to think they are some sort of meter of what opinions are good and what ones are not. If they don't agree with the post its not valid and they like to say the point isn't valid. If they do agree they are all about it.

Ppl don't post on the forums to be judged by internet warriors, they are stating opinions why this or that, and if a good DEV/CS team is listening they try to make changes within the games vision to keep the player base.

  8. No, I read your entire post.

It's just that I do not let personal attacks go unanswered.

The post was on topic, just not your topic, MMOs are the players, no players, no stable base, means no MMO.

Never attacked you as you say, but as a member of the LoSD how often do you see the trouble light beam and from how far away can you see it?
