  1. Been away from the game for a while and getting back into it. Looking for a guild to play with, some perks, and have fun. I am older than dirt and not looking for competitive play. Just make friends, hang out, do some flashpoints and operations, though I am rusty right now. Focused on levelling right now. Hope to meet y'all soon
  2. Indeed... people don't like it cos they get knocked off their bike when they didn't use to... that's it. If you want a static game, don't play an MMO. Oh and btw... in SWG, when you got knocked off your bike, if it took too much damage... it was gone. Done. Destroyed. That sweet AV-21 that took you and your guild mates a week of grinding on the Corellian Corvette is now a burning, smouldering wreck.

OMG the night sisters were annoying for doing that.

Overall, the I have to agree that level sync solves more than it hurts. You used to have to pace how much XP you earned, because if you got too far ahead of the class line, you would be puling in 15 xp a class quest when you turned in. In all sorts of ways it is more enjoyable now. Well worth the trade offs

  3. Hey folks,

We have discovered what is causing the problem. There is a trigger that happens behind the scenes which grants Legendary Status. Some characters are missing this indicator, which is preventing you from having Legendary Status. We are working on addressing the issue, but unfortunately we can't resolve it until 4.4. In the meantime, you do not need to submit a ticket to CS as they will be unable to correct this issue. For those that qualify, your status will be corrected once the fix is in place.

    Thank you for your patience.

This is not an acceptable solution, because for me it won't work. I transferred a character over here when Radiant went away, to play with some friends, and brought over the chapter 3 completion status with me. Those characters never existed on this server, and their achievements were not recorded on this server.

When the Level 60 ton fix went in I lost Legendary and it took 6 tickets to fix that.

Now you're telling me that I cannot start that process again until after 4.4, and that is simply not acceptable. I have to wait for a fix that won't work for me to enter a ticket.

    Need a better solution.

  4. Is the premade jedi knight the only knight you ever had or did you legit level one 1-50 and complete chapters 1-3?

Their intent this patch was to remove legend from those who did not level through and complete chapters 1-3. The intent was to remove it from people getting credit from instants.

I had a JK I ran to 50 (back when that was the max level) and lost legendary status with 4.2. The character is long gone.

Interestingly, I still have credit for completing all conversations with all 6 companions for JK, but no credit for completing Chapter 3. And unlike what Eric said, CS said they can't help, devs are working on a fix but no idea when it may come. So screwed by SWTOR again

  5. Hey folks,

We have seen quite a few reports of players who have lost their Legendary Status following Game Update 4.2 on Tuesday. First, a reminder of what Legendary Status is. This system was put in with Knights of the Fallen Empire as a reward for players who had completed all 8 Class Stories all the way through Act 3. We wanted to make sure that their efforts were rewarded, beyond just Achievements alone.

Along with the KotFE launch, we also introduced Start at 60 tokens. Unfortunately, there was a bug where sometimes a character made from a token would grant a completion for Legendary Status. This was not intended as that character never played through and completed Act 3. With Game Update 4.2, we corrected that bug and along with it, removed any unintended progress from Legendary Status. At this time there are a few specific issues that have been raised:

I have a <insert class> that has completed their Class Story but do not have Legendary Status Credit

    • First, please ensure that you have completed that Class story all the way through completion of Act 3, post-Corellia.
    • If you have, log into that Character. We have seen reports that simply logging into that Character will re-grant Legendary Status Credit.
    • Again, Start at 60 Characters will not grant you this credit.

I completed my Class Story with <insert class> but have since deleted that Character

    • Please contact CS.

    Thanks!

I have contacted CS and they said they can't help. What next?

  6. I feel like it gives the original KOTOR feel, if you didn't play KOTOR, you might not understand..

I agree it feels like KOTOR, and I think that's a problem as gaming has evolved beyond that.

As far as linear, I know the whole game is linear, but there's a lot of ways to meander your way through the story. And there are side quests to do along the way. Here I feel like I can make any choice along the way or do them at random, and I feel like I will end up in the same place. In the class quests, where you end up can be very different depending on choice and who you kill or let live

  7. Here's what I don't like

    - The world seems so small, as compared to the expansive feel of the rest of the game

    - I hate having companions forced on me. I realize that at some point this may change, but I have not gotten that far as it is so mind numbingly boring because

    - it is so linear. All i have to do is press buttons at a battle and everything else is spoon fed. I don't need to be here as a player at all

  8. There are some things SWG did better than any other game. Housing was the best. You could setup your guild village in an unoccupied part of a planet, we were on Dathomir. this doesn't come without risks, we had Storm Trooper spawns pop up in the middle of town many times, which made it funny to watch the non combat classes dodging into buildings to avoid them.

I missed the parties where you would drop an item, and pick up an item. That was fun. So was decorating your towns for the holidays.

The non combat classes added a lot in that they brought in a diverse player base.

Attacking and defending your town was a lot of fun.

The Jedi grind was incredibly painful and not so much fun. I hate that old man.

the BH contracts was used to grief players, and not so much fun.

Entertainers were the coolest. Watching a group perform choreographed routines was the best.

Jump to Lightspeed was great. need a break from grinding? I would pop into my Red TIE fighter and go shoot things.

I miss my Ithorian jedi. Playing different races like ithorians and Wookies was cool.

Wiping out the Ewok Village was always a good time.

The combat was always flaky, NGE was a horrible experience, and I quit from it like many did.

Crafting was great, the player economy was great, (great stats on Rancor meat today lets go stock up!). Was sucked is that in the end there were one or two types of armor and everyone looked the same. No variations.

The open PVP was great, and you had things like a scrum between factions start Mos Eiseley, then all the players would come in from other planets and it would get totally out of hand, but 1000 vs 1000 players in PVP stressed and crashed servers. And those who made Jedi owned those battles, they would just kill everyone.

the community around SWG was great. the combat system, not so much

  9. I realize that most people do not have this problem, but I do. I literally cannot win a roll during group loot. At present count I am at 17 consecutive hard mode flash points and operations, where when everyone rolls greed, I lose. That's for all items - green, blue, purple, etc.

This is not an unlucky streak as CSR has said - this has been going on since December. Usually I go 6 or 7 modules between winning rolls, win a couple, then go 6 or 7 again. Now, I just can't win and have not won since 1.3 drop - any rolls.

This is only for group loot, When master loot is on I win just fine.

I am only posting here becuase that is what the CSR directed me to do. I am at the end of my rope.
