  1. The new content looks great in my personal opinion. Will it bring back players that left the game and new players? It's a lot of the same stuff. Nothing revolutionary. This game needs something huge to bring it back to where it was 6 months ago and I do not think this is it. I really hope i'm wrong because I would love to have my old guild and server back.

    In addition, to get subs back, there needs to be dx10-11 ports and a lot of optimizing.

  2. My post has nothing to do with the license signed by Bioware, nor do I have any idea where you came up with that. I also did not question the validity of inter-faction conflict in the setting, especially among the Sith.

     

    My statements are based purely game design principles. The entire game is built, from the ground up, on the concept of Empire vs. Republic. As aspects of the game reflect this struggle, from character creation, to storyline, to both instanced and general group content, to space combat, to PvE and PvP endgame. Even the items in the game reflect this dynamic. It is literally part of the foundation that everything in this game is built upon. It represents the game's core identity.

     

    You suggest that foundation be changed. It took over five years of development to put the existing foundation in place and build the game upon it. It cannot be changed without necessitating the alteration of everything that relies upon it. That means everything in the game would have to be modified; it would be an entirely different game.

     

    Yes, I see they would have to change all the republic bases to the empire and the quest chains, so it wont work without many changes and additions.

  3. Game design, however, does not. You are essentially asking for an entirely new design dynamic for the game. In essence, you are advocating the development of an entirely new MMORPG title. As such, you are making your suggestion in the wrong place, speaking to the wrong people.

     

    You need to convince LucasArts this is a viable game concept, and if they agree they'll license it to a development company and 5-8 years later the game will be released.

    They already have sith vs sith warzones. You have inside information on what exactly the LA license includes?

     

    You make your statements as facts, Id like to see some evidence of that. Otherwise your argument is invalid.

  4. It is stupid and I'm going to guess that it wasn't intended. I'd like to contribute to the stupid/unintended list by adding Not being able to hit enter to buy items that require confirmation. Converting wz comms to ranked comms is now a pita.

     

    Whatever the reason, its affecting my companion gift sales, and not in a good way. People are too ignorant to choose the rarity of items on the gtn. Perhaps this is intended as payback for the people complaining about the gtn interface.

     

    The hitting enter is payback from the coder for having to put confirmations on items that he was too lazy to do in the first place.

    Overall I'd say it was sabotage of the game.

    And yes, I am still bitter about the changes to my combat medic.

  5. So instead of messing up, dieing, and repairing what would you suggest?

    Content that is difficult is more fun if there is a chance to fail and die. If you can escape with no consequences its not a challenge. I get it.

    They way it was working in story mode, maybe half the ops will be able to exit area. That was reasonable. The way it was working in hard mode, we were lucky to get 1 maybe 2 players able to exit . I think that was enough of a consequence and a happy medium ground.

     

    Now everyone dies in story and hard/nightmare mode. I can see putting that for nightmare mode for the `elite ego boost.

    Everyone dies is a bit sadistic, too much dark side.

  6. If you mess up, you die, you repair. There should be no other way for you to escape that, what you have said would be understandable in the first two operations, but explosive conflict is almost completely bug free if you wipe its probably because you messed up and you don't deserve a free ticket out and save the repair, that's just part of doing an operation.

    This is the sadistic opinion of the developers, unfortunatly another bad decision for the game. I wonder how many subs it will take till they get the big picture.

  7. Anyone else having a problem where a lightning pillar will be dropped on the tank or dps who is on Stormcaller right before Defensive Systems casts? Last week and last night our 8 man group kept having this problem, over and over. And since Defensive Systems isn't exactly on a timer, we couldn't just have the tank move out early.

     

    It seemed like the pillar was being dropped on the tank prior to defensive system instead of waiting for that phase of the fight. Every single other lightning spire prior to that and after defensive system (up until right before the next defensive system) was dropping correctly on the furthest ranged player. Are we missing something or is this a bug?

     

    The reason it does that is the tank has lost agro to the melee near him. The tank needs to spam taunts to stay to the top of the agro list for this fight.

  9. You can't test roll back prevention. This was implementation error. Nothing on the part of the devs. Please read the EULA. It states that the content can be taken offline without notice. They gave you notice. They can withhold content without notice. They gave you notice. So please stop acting like a kid and find something else to do.

     

    If you don't believe me here is the EULA. It will even take right to the spot that concerns this.

     

    No EULA in the world can save you from dissapointed and angry gamers & StarWars fans.

     

    For the op, GW2 looks pretty good. I played GW1 beta it was pretty good for a new MMORPG at that time. They should do well with gw2 with more experience so I will have to try it.

    HOWEVER... i know how to use my credits wisely making profit all the time... and in 1 month ill buy my 1st legacy unlock and be happy about it.

    I did dailys for 2 months, bought whatever I needed for my companions and my gear. Started an alt, got biochem to 400, spent credits on that chars gear and companions. Still have a million credits.

    I sell columi ears on the GTM and materials from underworld trading.

     

    The past month there has been aprox 30 ppl on the fleet at prime time on republic side, so sales have slowed to almost nonexistent. 2 months ago I could make 100k a day from gift sales.

    Lucky to make 5k a day now.

     

    I expected after watching the dev QnA that the time I had spent gathering legacy would be rewarded and I would be able to get all the unlocks that my legacy level earned.

    After my class was destroyed I thought oh maybe there is some good with this legacy. Now I will not be able to enjoy that either.

  11. Whether Bioware listens to feedback or not doesn't change that publicly crying out over the forums about how upset you are and that you are cancelling your subscription isn't constructive feedback.

     

    Cancelling your sub is feedback especially when you tell them why. Making a public spectacle about the fact that you are going to do it is whining.

     

    Don't try to lump this kind of post in with the truly constructive ones that Bioware ought to be listening to.

     

    Your attempt to bully us into submission isnt working. Bioware are ignoring all the constructive posts cause they know better with thier mysterious "metrics" that dont correlate to peoples experiences.

    Well they made thier own problems they will have to live with the consequences of thier bad decisions.

  12. I"m totally floored here, I just don't get it.

     

    Did you guys JUST respec? If you havn't then you STILL have a free one for the week. If you did, well guess what, you get one in a few days.

     

    As someone who's only used the respec once a week and never paid for one, can someone enlighten me on how many credits the second respec for the week is? I'm guessing its a stupid low number.

     

    You people will find anything to complain about. If your this upset about something so peetty and trivial, you need to find a different genre of game, maybe farmville.

     

    They completely GUT the Combat Medic and you say its trivial and petty? I want some of what your smoking.

  13. So you buff up dps classes generally by about 15-30%... Awesome.

     

    BUT you nerf all tank classes ability to maintain agro EXCEPT the Shadow... Fail.

     

    You increase Scoundrel's ability to heal... Awesome.

     

    You KILL the Commando and Sage healers for anything harder than normal mode flashpoints... Fail.

     

    What exactly was the thought process in the nerfs? Sages have no way to regain lost force and you took away their only ability to do so (yes you can spec down to 13% health vs 15% to regain but the sage now has to spend more time OFF of the tank...)

     

    The commando's ammo regen is dead. On top of that you killed their ability to remove debuffs effectively by removing the 2 second spec they could knock off of it.

     

    I'm running full Rakata+ (Columi gear with augment slots) in a raid force and I'd call us pretty dagon functional. Yet we can't even kill LR-5 in HM Lost Island. I've got plenty of video that can show we are taking full advantage of the setup but this boss goes beyond nuts when <20-25% (I won't even get in to it). We are the third best raid force on our server (which isn't saying much do to population) but when the best raid forces can't even manage to get this LR-5 down there's a huge issue. Closest we got was just below 4k health left.

     

    This is ridiculous. I just got the in game mail for a free 30 days... big whoop. I can't tell you how much I hate WoW but it's the only viable game to play now and it's BORING. But hey, at least you can kill stuff in that game. Oh and "story mode meant for the casual raid guild to see raid content..." is at best a bold faced lie and at worst either a showing of stupidity on the people who lead the development teams and their inability to ensure quality control OR you thought the PTS results where too "good" so you made it impossible. Last I checked you did flashpoint type zones to prepare for raids not the other way around...

     

    It's disgusting. Oh and I won't even get in to the failed legacy... you know all that stuff you said we'd have that are now under the "soon to come" menu... PLUS the "you can buy these things with your legacy levels OR credits" but that's a fail because it's requirements PLUS credits...

     

    Stupid.

  14. When I logged on the patch 1.2 after reading in the patch notes that this was fixed, AGAIN.

    Flying text says I completed the quest stay frosty (which I did months ago) and gave me 347 legacy points.

    I think this is the 2nd time they said its fixed. BUT it is STILL in my quest log, cant abandon, cant reset.

     

    Cant believe patch notes, this is the umpteenth time they said they fixed things but did not.

    Competency? I think not.

    Another bologna artist. Where in there did I say nerfing us to the ground was fact? Its obviously an opinion and that opinion is based on reading of the patch notes and RuQu's testing from the PTS.

     

    There are also many others on the test forums giving opinions, and they arent good.

    Your "facts" are false assumptions based on my posts that you took out of context and twisted to support your bologna.

    It is even more obvious that you have no idea about the end game combat medic except to nerf us to the ground and make us useless for end game PVE content. Hard Facts.

    That is your opinion based on what you learned on the internets.

    You have shown no first hand knowledge of the issues with combat medic, you just quote what you learned on the internet which does not correlate with a vast majority of the Combat Medics views on this very forum and numerous others, including the test server forum.

     

    Even the uberalles german gun is crying about ammo management for pve now.

    I have a place commenting on unwarranted combat medic nerfs. I play one and I paid my sub.

    I like how you twisted everything I posted to support your positions. Anyone with a 3rd grade reading comprehension can see what you did thar.

    Since my posting ban seems to be lifted, I will start answering yours and others propaganda.

  19. Exactly, they nerf a class because a low percentage does well and hurt the average player in the long run. Ive read reports of guilds on the PTS not being able to clear NM raids anymore with Patch 1.2 changes but doing so on live servers easily. Whats up with that? Why break classes in PVE on the behalf of PVP? Commandos are hard to kill, but thats no healing output matter. Its our little godmode shield which keeps us up, since youll be spamming instants anyway. Im at full ammo most of the time when i get focussed by more that 2 people because i wont get off many casts anyway so why the fudge did they have raise our ammo consumption? It doesnt make any sense. If they feel healing output in general is too high, why not amp up the Trauma debuff? Instead of breaking class mechanics which cripple PVE players even more. That just doesnt add up at all and its extremely frustrating to see. ANd regarding rated WZs... focus damage will do so much more than any healer could counter so our usefulness there is limited already as is, and i bet with those changes you either need more healers or none at all. Friggin nonsense. I see people getting killed by sith warrior cluster *****s all the time without any chance to react. They pound down people through guard with me full time spamming on them with adrenal/relic/SSC popped like nobodys business. So Rates wont be much fun for healers versus competent teams who know how to focus a target.

     

    Im pretty sure I can do better in pvp losing 1/2 of my alacrity, but I need it for pve.

    My finger is strong from hammer shot so much, these changes are gonna break my finger with even more hammer shot.

    A lot of people say its too easy so I guess they will make it harder with these changes since some people like you can handle it but with higher repair cost and rely on more RNG frustration.

     

    You have proven that combat medic is competitive in pvp with your scores.

    I am not sure thats a good reason for the nerfs though.

    The thread on the test forum said they had to lower it to hm to get by one or 2 boss.

  20. where did i say champ? its full BM gear, 700 expertise. and i said people LIKE you get classes nerfed to oblivion without any real reason. cause you qq on the boards about how overpowered everyone else is but fail to realize that you just simply suck. thats what aggrevates me the most. So companies like BW and blizzard cater the game to the bads who usually make up a majority of the player base. thats just sad

     

    If 1% of the playerbase can get these high numbers and the rest cant, why make a game for 1% of people?

    I have seen 2 people say 300 for champion is average, and 2 people say thats bad.

     

    I understand what your saying, its the slippery slope. Cater to the best or the average bads that are majority.

     

    I am not trying to get anyone nerfed, especially my favorite combat medic. I do have problems with ammo management in pve, not in pvp. In pvp its stunlock and die very fast after I get a few heals, and I am not slacking off in the corner trying to be bad. I am casting as fast and as much as I can before I get focused.

    These changes will make it harder for pve, I can see that, and its hard already.
