  1. This viewpoint would have more validity if Bioware had made ANY progress on any of the issues he listed in the past eight months. They have not. I am fine with making 'content patches' when the majority of other bugs have either been addressed or are being worked on, but after months and months of waiting and still seeing no fixes to these issues and having ADDITIONAL bugs introduced in the interim, the logic no longer holds.

At some point, Bioware needs to hire more coders and lay off some artists. It's one thing to be upset that the Receptionist at the doctor's office can't perform your physical and can only give you aspirin. It's another to go back to the doctor nine separate times and be told each time "sorry, no treatment". At that point any sane person questions why you are paying the cost of an office visit for no real benefit.

    Well said sir!

  2. I does make you wonder why they don't just fix the stuff that's broken and leave the stuff that works alone.

I was baffled at why a simple lock/unlock icon had to be changed to an ambiguous up arrow. Are they trying to save memory by not loading that 16 pixel icon?

Maybe the lawyers of the person that holds the copyright on the padlock icon told them to get rid of it.

    Seriously, I can't understand it.

Probally the same lawyers that told them to get the Alpha version of Hero engine for 300 million dollar MMO lol.

  3. I see what your saying but by the time they actually do implement this is they even do most people should have Win 7 or above but yes for now it probs is best to stay with DX9

Other much much Older MMO's have dx10 and dx11 support, features , that way players that cant aford dx11 systems like some of us have had for few years, as we upgrade every 12-24 monthes can still game in dx9 while the rest of us can crank up the graphics in dx11,dx10 and game runs much more smooth and with more dx11 api's etc and higher framerate for those us with 2-4 Video cards per Rig in SLI etc.

Wow is 1 example, LOTR,DDO Aoc etc.

Hell LOTR if have cpu and gpu's for such old game looks stunning in dx11 compared to dx9 and tons more fps, Godrays, new shaders etc.

  4. You don't think they modified the engine themselves? Yes, they bought a older version of the engine (was the newest at the time), but then they developed it further themselves.

Sir If I buy a Yugo for car, no matter what I do to it, its still a Yugo 1 the worst cars in the world.

If im developers and CEO and I am making 250-300 million dollar mmo over 7 years, and launch 6 monthes to early with beta features like legacy, lfg tool and on on not in yet, that was Promised.

Then im dam sure not going to buy game engine that came out of cracker jack box!

  5. This is how this former free content is now be charged.

This with new flashpoint and new operation and new warzone and MAKEB content cap to 55 and ranked warzones and cathar were supposed to be all in the 1.5 content patch watch the video on the link.

But then EA fired everyone left from orginal founders of bioware and went ftp got greedy, we still dont have cathar or ranked warzones those be future expansion for each lol knowing EA.

    It's not an expansion...

Not all expansions include a level cap raise, but MOST expansions do and MMO players generally relate a level cap raise with an expansion.

EA Suits: "Ok Bioware, how do we try to justify this as an expansion so we can charge for it?"

Bioware Devs: "Add new abilities to classes and raise the level cap"

EA Suits: "Good idea, so raise the level cap so we can charge for this content pack...err expansion I mean."

Bioware Devs: "The problem is that we don't have enough new content to justify a level cap increase - just a new planet and some story missions."

EA Suits: "Find a way to justify calling this an expansion, we need to charge for it."

Bioware Devs: "I guess we can just scale some of the old content so that it is still relevant at the new level cap."

EA Suits: "Whatever, just get it done."

Bioware Devs: "So how much are you charging for this "expansion?"

EA Suits: "$20 for F2P, $10 for Subs"

Bioware Devs: "Oh nice, so subs will just be able to use their monthly cartel coins to purchase the "expansion."

EA Suits: "(laughs), I like you. Also, no."
