  1. I know some will think this is a waste of a thread, but I am desperate! I have all the schematics for Vagabond Gear except Boots and Bracers. I have been doing Grade 2 and Grade 3 UWM Missions to try and obtain these schematics to no avail. I have also been asking around for it on my Server.

    If you read this post and can make Custom Vagabond Boots and/or Bracers could you try getting onto Jengo.

    I am on the GAV DARAGON Server.

    Thanks in advance. :) ... hopefully. : ]

  2. Como again? 10 levels? Even WoW's latest expansions only had 5 level increases. What's so wrong with that? And you don't even have class quests there anymore. I think your building a storm in a glass of water.

    Also, the devs might not feel the need to jump into the forums so often once they reply to questions on a regular basis via the community team? I saw a lot of posts from Amber or Courtney stating "I asked <insert dev name here> about <insert subject here> and he told bla bla bla".

    A lot of planned stuff have been delayed because of the F2P conversion and that sucks but it's what we have.

    I haven't played WOW ever, but from what I hear leveling up on WoW is alot harder than it is in TOR. That is probably my only real issue with the game, because it isn't a bug it is the game its self. The game screams through 1-49 before you can blink than you just sit and stagnate at level 50.

  3. 1. To complete all the class stories;

    2. To replay the SW with Jaesa dark side;

    3. I enjoy crafting in MMO's especially this one (although I seem to be in a minority here);

    4. I prefer this genre to dwarves etc.;

    5. PvP is pretty much limited to warzones.

    I don't love crafting, but I love having every possible schematic if possible. It is hard though especially when crafting earpieces and other things that require you to learn 5 purples from 1 blue. :p

  4. Making 49 gear is not a good way to make money off these skills, and never has been. The time or credit cost of materials is huge, and the profit is nil because they're bested by even the lousy recruit set you get for free at 50, or the Tionese that you could get with trivial effort before the free gift.

    The only money in these trades is augments and orange sets, particularly low level orange belts and bracers, if you have the creds and patience to camp GTN for the patterns. The mats are cheap to farm, the profit is good because supply is low (due to the stupidly rare drops on schematics for these two slots), and people gearing up alts will pay a healthy price for them because you're only competing with either super expensive legacy belts or the very rare event gear (which, thanks to cash shop, you can be sure we will not be seeing any more of ever, as the current Life Day "event" proves).

    So far BW has been so incredibly lazy with the CM stuff that they can't manage to even repaint a couple spare belt and bracer patterns for the $12 recycled twentieth-repaint-of-the-same-old-skin sets they've dumped in there. So for now orange belts are still an easy sell, especially at low levels.

    Once that's gone though, it's pretty much just augments. But it's been that way for a long time now. Don't expect to see any new itemization come into the game except through the cash shop, and you can be sure that anything which stands in the way of profit on "new" cash shop junk will swiftly be nerfed, broken, or stealth patched out of the game to make way for it.

    Too true, and as they slowly Customise everything we will lose more of the market. Take them customising Shield generators and all that next it will be earpieces and implants sooo stupid.

  5. You may be confused about how CC and resolve works, because this is a list of Scoundrel/Operative CC and it's resolve contribution:

    1. 8 second Sap from stealth no cooldown, requires target to be out of combat. This gives a 100% white full resolve bar instantly, you can not be stunned again until the entire white bar has gone away (~15s).

    2. 4 second stun (dirty kick for scoundrel) 45s-1minute cooldown depending on spec. This gives 4 grey bars (nearly full resolve bar) and ANY type of incapacitating CC including a knockback will instantly fill your resolve bar if used soon after.

    3. 8 second Mez that breaks on damage (Flashbang) 1m 30s cooldown. This gives 4 grey bars (nearly full resolve bar) and ANY type of incapacitating CC including a knockback will instantly fill your resolve bar if used soon after.

    4. 3 second Knockdown on Shoot First/Hidden strike (spec'd for) No cooldown, but requires stealth to use shoot first. This gives a 100% white full resolve bar instantly, you CAN NOT be stunned again until your entire white bar has gone away (around ~15s).

    4. Spec'd 2 second root (can't run, but can still attack/cast/etc) on Tendon blast 12s cooldown. This root, like 99% of roots in this game, bypasses resolve.

    So basically every one of our CC's except the root on tendon blast gives either a full bar of resolve, or nearly so. The highest duration of time that a scoundrel can CC you straight if you don't break either CC is Flashbang for 8 seconds, then vanish and sap you for 8 seconds. Both of these CC's break on damage, so they can't damage you during this time.

    The highest duration of time that an operative/scoundrel can CC you while attacking you is 7 seconds. This is achieved by stunning you with dirty kick (4s), then vanishing at the end of the stun and knocking you down with shoot first. There is a 2 minute timer when spec'd on vanish.

    I have to disagree with all that other than the Sever Tendon/ Leg shot. Every time I am stunned with the 8 second sap I am given 4 grey bars, 8 second flash is 4 grey bars, 3 second stun (Dirty Kick/ Debilitate) is 3 grey bars, and the knockdown from Shoot Firstt gives me 2.

    I do not know if it is suppose to work the way you have stated or if that is what happens to you when you are attacked? But for me I experience it every time. Even my Operative can use a stun and dirty kick before full resolve is achieved, and it takes 2 Sleep Darts before my opponents have full resolve.

  6. Agreed. Investigation missions make getting purple materials reliable, but there are no missions for level 1.

    You can find nylasteel on my server's GTN, but the prices are too high. It sells for around 5k for one unit, and if two are needed to make a weapon then you better check the prices of weapons with similar stats before you purchase--chances are, the weapons are selling for less than 8k.

    I believe that a number of "issues" with the crafting in this game could be resolved if the devs took a second look at their supply numbers.

    I know what you mean with crafting mat prices, but 5k PPU for a Grade 1 Purple is crazy. What server are you on? I have people always telling me I should double my prices to make more money, but I am still making a tidy profit as is. Plus the mats drive up item prices then no1 buys.

  7. Any chance at a lower mod extraction cost this update?

    No point to take part in the over emphasis or customizing a look if it costs players too much. :rolleyes:

    No way should they lower the cost. Lowering the cost of items and Legacy bonuses is the worst thing they could do. If they keep lowering the cost of everything the credits would be pointless, the game is easy enough with all the quest objectives being on your map. There is no thinking involved in most of the quests except for should I choose option 1,2, or 3 in the conversations. Also I think lower exp. for F2P members is a bonus not a draw back. Leveling is way too easy in this game, so you are always updating your armour.

    PLUS WHY DID YOU HAVE TO CUSTOMISE THE VIBROKNIVES AND GENERATORS? nOW ALL THOSE PEOPLE THAT LEARNT ALL THE PURPLE SCHEMATICS SO THEY COULD SELL THEM ARE IN A BIND AS EVERY1 WILL JUST GET THE ESSELLES AND BLACK TALON CUSTOMS.

    PLEASE BIOWARE, DON'T MAKE THIS GAME ANY EASIER JUST BECAUSE PEOPLE ASK FOR IT. IF IT IS TOO EASY PEOPLE GET BORED FAST. THE GAME IS FALLING INTO A REPETITIVE CYCLE.

  8. I sell Mats on my server and business is good. I look on the GTN and usually sell my Mats at 70% of the top price, as long as it isn't ridiculous. Now 1k per Titanium is a good price I think depending on the quantity. Unlike the real world where you buy bulk for savings, in TOR you pay more for bulk. It all comes down to the time it takes to acquire the Mats. Now if I saw 7 Titanium on the GTN for 5-10k of course I will not buy it, it is way too expensive when I can just do missions and have it in about 15 mins fo a fraction of the cost. But 99 Titanium for 60-100k that is worth it because I can craft alot of items with that amount. So when looking at prices factor in the quantity, don't buy from someone that sells a small amount force them to do the hard work.
  9. Even at my low level of 17 I'm managing to sell a bunch of crystals and enhancements. I just undercut the whole market and everything sells. I may not be profiting due to the high cost of gathering missions, but I am mitigating the cost of leveling artifice.

    I'm just hoping they balance it out and improve the schematics by the time I reach 50 and max out the craft.

    On my server there is no market for any kind of market. I could sell my items for any price I wanted and nobody is selling to say differently. However, I don't do this I sell the items low level mats and high for a set amount. I work out the price of the mission and then add a percentage for time taken. I have sold almost every posting within the first day or two. I usually put up things that I myself have needed or wanted at 1 time and couldn't find or I thought was too expensive. Things like 2x Laminoid for 899 which is way over priced! Or level 10-16, 23-37 purple items (Armour and Mods).

  10. Somehow, I manage to play the game and PvP a lot without any trash talking or vulgarity at all. I see others use it, but it seems like a bunch of chest-beating on the internet to me.

    Exactly, come on we're playing TOR not in the flaming Mr Universe Contest. I laugh so hard when people threaten others over the internet because they probably haven't been in a real fight in there entire life. I cuss a bit at the computer when I'm feeling cheated but I usually blame the game not the player.

    That being said I really am a Mr Universe Contestant so all of you watch it, lol.

  11. I agree that the RP servers need tighter controls. I think many of the names that I see are ridiculous, especially if I see a level 50 with a name like that. It just makes me lose a lot of faith.

    I'll keep reporting them regardless. I also don't think that that warning is there.

    I personally try and pick a name that I think fits my player and what I want him to represent but I find it hard without the ability to put in spaces or at least an underscore. Also I find the whole theme that SWTOR is set around a little ridiculous. The Empire is around at this time and all of a sudden it dies off all through Episode 1, 2 and 3 and all through these three movies it implies that the separtists are a new faction and everyone is a part of the Republic. In the movies the Sith work from the shadows and the Imperials have no idea what they're really working towards. In TOR they continue with this theme even though the Sith are taking a more active role in politics. They have tried to join these two time lines when there is no reason to. KOTOR didn't, it instead represented the beginning of what would be the Empire. I don't know where I'm going with this, I lost the original train of thought whilst ranting but I did get a little of how I feel across.
