  1. First of all, the carebear comments are ridiculous. The PvP in this game is not skill dependent. That's why folks avoid the PvP aspect of the game, not because they are afraid of PvP. as the "carebear" comment implies.

Secondly, PvP is only one aspect of the game. Some of us choose to play the entire game (both pvp and pve) as the developers intended. Just because you only want to focus on a single aspect doesn't make you a special snowflake.

    In short, get over yourself.

  2. This thread is completely illogical, from the op throughout the comments. Cartel packs are not gambling, nor are they illegal.

EA is a company who profits from disposable income. They have an obligation to increase shareholder return on investment, so they have devised a legitimate, legal plan by which to do so. Your role is:

    a) play the game and ignore the cartel market

    b) play the game and utilize the cartel market, or

    c) don't play the game

Nerdrage, hyperbole, and infatuation with playing digital barbie aside, it is really that simple.

You can play the entire game, all content, without ever once touching the cartel market.

  3. I know they said this when they were living it up on our dime in Germany, but its not like we can't fight it...

They've been made to change their minds before. Perhaps if we stick to our guns (and lightsabers) and demand individual class and companion story extensions, we'll get it. We just have to be persistent.

I'm not exactly sure what it would take, short of abducting Musco and pointing a lighsaber at his forehead and telling him that crap like makeb and now oricon doesn't fly. There is a need to extend individual class story.

They sold us on this game by saying 'star in your own star wars adventure.'

They're being lazy and cheap by not giving us what we want, and quite honestly pay for.

I'm still holding out hope, but I sure wish I could peek into the future to see what happens, and if we don't get individual class story extensions, well I'd be inclined to quit sooner rather than later. The individual stories are the most important thing to me, and without them...well the game just sucks.

Take your pompous entitlement and blow it out your airlock.

"Living it up on our dime in Germany..." are you an EA shareholder, or just a consumer of EA products? It isn't up to you how employees spend their money, or their time, nor is it any of your business how EA allocates marketing dollars.

"They are being lazy and cheap by not giving us what we want..." They owe you nothing other than what you've already purchased from them.

Apparently you want them to adopt a different business model than the one they have chosen. You should show up at a shareholder meeting and voice your concerns to those who can make such decisions.

Bashing employees for doing what their bosses tell them to do is a fool's game. Don't be a fool.

  4. There are many flavors of MMO on the market right now, and each has a high level of hate, according to those who post in their forums; each also has legions of dedicated fans.

The reason for all the hate is simply because... that's what haters do. We live in a society dominated by bullies and complainers. Evidence of this is all around us. Politics, social issues, entertainment, you'll find haters everywhere. Some people insist on tearing things down.

The best thing you can do is tune them out and derive pleasure from the game if you can. If you can't, move along until you find something that makes you happy.
